HiIm having a problem with the sound in SB, i'm using WideFS with it had recently it no longer makes a sound when i recieve messages or private messages. I have checked and the sound files are there and they are selected to play. I've also done a reinstall but this hasn't solved anything.ThanksDavid

Hi everybody,Have this problem... seems as though anytime I am flying in Vatsim in full screen mode, it arbitrarilly switches between windowed mode to full screen mode every 2 or 3 seconds. I'm using FS Inn and FS Copilot, the reccommended versions. It doesn't do it in free flight when I'm not connected and it doesn't do it when I'm connected to other sessions via direct connect. Has this happened to anyone?I have tried disabling the weather feature from FS INN to see if it had something to do with it, but I haven't flown it yet.Any help appreciated.

Hi all, I'm running FSX on a 9800GT, 2 monitor setup.I have my monitors enabled for dual view, so each monitor runs its own individual thing. When I open FSX, I generally drag my FSInn panels to the 2nd monitor to unclutter my view on the primary.Now, whenever I open up the FSInn UI, my 2nd monitor becomes disabled (in a sense). What exactly happens is that any panel, FSInn or sim, I drag onto the 2nd monitor doesnt show up. But, when I hover my mouse over the spot I dropped the panel, I can click down and drag it back to the primary (where I can see it).Any clue on how I could fix this? The monitor works....it just doesnt want to show anything when FSInn is running. ____…

I got my first VATSIM flight in on Saturday. Having a real controller adds tremendously to the realism. I should have done this months ago! Thanks for everyone's help in getting me going. A few questions....- I guess I got lucky by doing my first flight on Saturday. There was a controller at KSLC. I looked on VATSIM today (Sunday) and noticed only 7 or 8 controller in the USA. What have you found to be some of the better times to use VATSIM (more controllers). Are Sunday's typically pretty slow. Is it busier during weekday evenings? , live in the uk just outside of Birmingham i am 48. hi I have been siming for years and love it , have made my way though paywear aircraft , like most of us I cut my teeth on the FMC in the pmdg 737 then on to the level d 767, and now i flymy fav i know some dont like it but the pss 757 is the one for me .what i am after is a mentor someone to help with the setting up sqk box ect and advice to get me up and running on VATSIM i have posted on the forums there but no joy . i have downloaded sqk box and vroute .I am worried about making a cock up of it , so anyone out there willing to help please drop me a line thanks jonj0e

This has been happening for a while.When someone leaves or joins the session, FS freezes for about 3 seconds and starts again. This has become very annoying, and somewhat dangerous on approach. Anyone got an idea how to fix this?

Hi - Checked event viewer in Win XP and have found a problem that has persisted for a while now. Usually after a 2 hour period FSX will freeze. When I check the event viewer the error reads as follows:"Hanging Application FSFDTCP.exe version 2.2007.0.508"Any suggestions?

I am having some difficulties with SB4 and not sure how to fix it. The past few evenings I have flown into/out of PHL, when tuning PHL_DEP on 118.8 in FSX I am getting Harrisburg. Is there a way to disable default fsx ATIS info? Thanks Kevin_________________

SB4 freezing my SIM. FSINN works perfectly. Are there bugs in SB4 with FSX and should I just stick with FSINN. Is that what most FSX users use for VATSIM?

Does anyone know if there is a program that makes your voice transmissions over VATSIM sound more realistic? Kinda that staticky, mic close to the mouth sound.Thanks!- Jason

On Saturday the 14th an event was held called "Over the Pond". Does anybody have any idea how many aircraft were involved in that event? I notice mid morning on VATSPY & Vroute that there was a HUGE fleet of aircraft in the air heading towards Toronto and Newark and was wondering how many planes were in the pattern.ThanksTom

Hi guys,I find it annoying when I can't hear ATC over the sound of my engines. How can I get the engines to come out of my main speakers and ATC to come solely out my headset? Once I get over the hurdle of how to run both simultaneously, then how do I get each program to correspond to each output?Thanks for any help offered!Aaron.

I know I might sooner or later get a response at the FSINN forums but they are pretty dead over there so I thought I would give hear a chance. I will quickly describe my setup. Main computer has FS9. Secondary computer has FSInn. I have had this problem for a long time and just figured out a temporary fix but annoying at that. When I tune in an active ATC freq I can see the freq change on my FSInn VVL. BUT I do not ge the Orange, green and blue horizontal lights indicating the channel is active. If I flip flop my freq the VVL will indicate the swapping is taking place but still no lights. I finally, after over a year and a half, noticed a temp fix. IF I click on the FSInn…

FSNext ATC needs to be improved badly, here's why:VATSIM doesn't cut it. You'll be lucky if you get ATC coverage along your route of flight. You'll be really lucky if you get someone with voice. You'll be extremely lucky if you get to talk to a controller all the way to your destination - without having to squawk 1200 between ARTCC's!!!!Or much worse, the only controller at your destination leaves you and the one only other pilot in a huge area of airspace all alone before you get down!!!GRRRR!!!VATSIM has its moments, but FSNext needs a major ATC upgrade so we don't have to rely on VATSIM to provide ATC services.Not to mention, I downgraded to FS9 just to play on VATS…

I have Airac 0901 and I don't expect getting any updates any time soon.I notice that for some of my favourite routes the 0901 seems to be behind the procedures published by AENA which now have some revisions... and my Jeppeson simcharts3 is late 90's so I expect a lot of changes there.Now I'm wondering, should I update my FMC's SID/STARS manually to the new data published by AENA or should I stay with the 0901 ? I'm sure there is a place to file a grievance on the Vatsim site but I never have had to, until now. I'm not even sure if what occured was real or a glitch so I am hping someone from Vatsim could look into it for me.
