Been flying FS for 10 years now. About 6 months ago, I ran across Vatsim, and Squawkbox. I found it because I am a student pilot with mike fright, and needed a place to practice. Having a blast, and it gives siming some purpose. Is it just me, or is this a grossly underadvertised feature?Scott.

Hello,due to the forums being down Im going to have to ask here. How do you change the model of traffics in vatsim? I have downloaded lots of AI traffic planes from world of ai and yet its not using many of them. Its mostly using the default 737 and PMDG 747 which takes up to much frame rates. So how do I change it to only showing WOAI traffic that I installed and disable the other types (default and add ons)?Thanks guys ;)

I have been unable to connect to the official VAYSIM forums for a week, a notice on the home page says its being worked on and that notice is a week old. Anyone know whats going on?

Dears, I spent already hours and hours to solve my problem and I have no more ideas what to do. I have FSX, flying PMDG 737NGX connected to VATSIM, using FSINN. I also have ezdock camera and Track IR installed. When I start FSX, connect to VATSIM, everything works. I can transmit, I hear the beep when I click PTT and I hear beep, when I release the PTT also. Mostly when I start to move my plane on the ground, sometimes during taxi, sometines after airborne my PTT stops to work. I just do not hear the beep and ATC does not hear me :-( I tried to restart FSFDT during flight, it did not help. Only restarting FSX helps :-(If you have any idea how to solve my problem I will be…

I flew from KOKC to KEWR the other night. I was using RC for my ATC because no online controlers were on. Aftre I got into NY CTR NY APP had me to comtact him. After contact was made he had me to decend and got me down to 3000. He told me field was to my right at 3:00. He didnt put me on a ILS approach or anything. I was on my own. After I missed approach and got back around to try again he came on and said Sir just land the plane I have severl other planes to land. If this was a real life controller there would had been a major problem at EWR. Already had low celings and they had a GS program in effect. Dear all,I will be flying from LSZH-EDDF on this event and have been practice some offline flights, when on final to rwy 25L I don’t get a DME readying is this normal, I am using arosoft mega airport Frankfurt and using ILS freq 111.15, I am able to do a full autoland but no DME. I intend to do a lot online flying with input from traffic control.Unfortunately I have difficulties understanding the various voice traffic control instructions( in most cases ) since the controller talks to fast,not clear enough etcFrom what I understand it is possible to use text instead of voice but I am not surehow this works.Do I ask the controller to communicate in text or is there an option to do itautomatically ?And which program is better suited,Squawk box or FSInn ?Herbert Werni

On Vatsim using FSInn, I use the FSInn control panel to set "squawk mode charlie". Am I correct in thinking that this is the virtual equivalent of setting the transponder mode to "TA/RA"? (If so, I can probably find a way to assign a single key to do what's necessary in the NGX and FSInn simultaneously.)Also on Vatsim I use FSInn when asked by ATC to "squawk ident". Is there any "real world" equivalent for "squawk ident" and, if so, how is it done in the NGX? (Again, if there is an equivalent function in the NGX, I can probably assign a single key to do what's needed in FSInn at the same time as in the NGX). ThanksTim
