Can anyone help? I have been away from FS for nearly 3 years. I intend to get back involved again so I installed FSX the other day and I am desperate to get back online with VATSIM but is it true that if I want to take part in online flying I have to resort back to FS9?

I seem to be unable to connect to VATSIM (using FSInn/FSCopilot). On my FSFDT Control Panel the top right indicator is red and it says "RogerWilco is disabled on this computer". The bottom right indicator is yellow and says "VATSIM Voice is enabled. Engine not started, you aren't connected to VATSIM". All other indicators are green. I am an experienced real world pilot and I would really like to get on with the VATSIM adventure!Any help would be much appreciated!

Last weeks I have on regular base "ghostPlanes" on my six.My Tcas begin to yell that there is danger and direct after that I have another 767-300 just behind me following the exact flightpad for some minutes.The last time I could identify the callsign and checking the Vatsim radar controller he told me that the plane was +/- 6 miles behind me on his radar scope.Funny.. I am having trouble with SB I can not get my microphone/headset to calibrate correctly under SB but under windows XP using the test I can speak and hear just fine also when I go to connect under SB nothing comes up in the Server list even when I type in a server nothing happens I need help please I live in the Atlanta area if anyone is also online flying from atlanta Thanks chris

Hi everyone, I just installed squarkbox, and the ony problem i an having is my username and password are not recognised ? Where to I change this in avsim or find out ? etc ?

Colleagues,I am going NUTS!! Recently, each time that I log into VATSIM using either SB3 or FSINN my aircraft periodically gets "bumped" for no reason (wind stays constant...sometimes at 0) causing my aircraft to either roll backwards or get bucked up on its tail causing a crash (ouch crash...not CTD). This also manifests itself as a "windshear" effect in flight every minute or so. This does not occur in single player OR when FSINN or SB3 are open but not yet connected to the network.In an effort to remedy this situation I have done the following:1. Uninstalled all addons2. Hi guys, im really thinking about joining as i would like to up the level of realism and also have that human interaction. My worries however are that as i have add on scenery, airports etc then once on the ground, the airports wont line up. Ill explain, if someone else appears at the same airport, but does not have an add-on, then the parking positions wont align. This i guess would be the same for the runway vectors? Hi. This question is specifically for someone who can speak for VATSIM as a representative of the organization. I used to do SATCO years ago, and right about the time it fizzled, so did my interest in flight simming at the time. Over the years, Flightsim has been an on-again, off-again thing for me, which I suppose speaks highly of the product(s) and the genre itself. I've never found myself coming back to, say, Doom or Command and Conquer with the same rekindled interest. Hi all I would appreciate clarification of the followingIs it appropriate to plan a flight and PICK your sid /transition for the direction of flight, and then send in the flight plan. Will atc try to accomodate the planned routing , or;should one wait for the ifr clearance based upon flight plan routing assuming no sid/trans and the atc will assign the appropriate sid based upon the direction of flight and active rnwyI like to plan the flight, using pref routing, and choose the sid/ trans , send in my flight plan etc. Quite often I find atc providing a change to the sid and transitionWhat works best for everyone.
