Hello,I am currently searching for a web-based flight plan database.I am a VATSIM member but I couldn't find something like a fp database on vatsim.net. Do they have something like that? Or are there any other free fp databases on the net?My second question is, which flight planners can you recommend? I'm just thinking about purchasing FS BUILD. Is it a good flight planner for advanced flight simulation, including SID, STAR etc.?ThanksMalte

For some reason my visual display page isn't working, and hasn't been working,for several days. When I click on the display, the page freezes.Anyone else?Thanks in advance.Slugger

This may have been asked before, so forgive me if this is a repost.What happens if you are flying into an airport (or even controlled airspace for that matter), switch over to the tower/center frequency, but nobody is "working" that frequency? Is this a problem? To be sure, there isn't some one for every single towered airport. What happens if you call the tower (or center) and no one responds? Do you go a UNICOM frequency and start using text?Haven't gotten on VATSIM yet, hope to in the near future though. Just want to get some questions answered so I know what to expect when I do connect.Thanks!- Jason

Hello,I have a simple question. Which rules determine as what kind of aircraft and airline (livery) other pilots see my aircraft?How does Squawkbox find out if I use a 757 or a 767? Good Day to everyone!I have 1GB of memory absolutly free in my computer (Already after all the things load as the norton and all the things the windows load)and my flight 2004 its just using about 200mb of my memory and using alot of my Hard Disk and this make the things goes slow!If is possible, how can i due?Thanks and sorry my bad , bad english.

The other day I was flying online with MHTG CTR. from MROC to MRLB IFR. When approaching MRLB CTR said be ready for ILS R/W 07. HE gave me the ILS freq. ( I believe it was 111.3). Anyhow my problem was that neither FS9 or FSNav showed me any ILS for R/W 7. Then my computer crashed and could not ask the controller about the ILS. I did add Liberia International MRLB scenery, by Henry Carcamo, I also refreshed the FSNav data base before flying. Even with the scenery uninstalled I still get no ILS 7 showing up. Maybe someone could check on there FS9 if they have a ILS show up for R/W 07 MRLB,Thank you, Bob

I'm very new to VATSIM. Just got my SB working and logged in to listen last night. I am excited to graduate from the canned chatter of FS9 to a live controller. I can't wait. What I would like to know is if I can fly an F-16 or another military plane with a call sign such as "Air Force 956" and fly from mil base to mil base?I want to do IFR and do this but I'm such a noob I'm nervous about it. Should I wait and do some GA VFR stuff first? Or should I just dive into it? I know nothing about SIDS and STARS and that. I have a ground school book I'm reading to learn about airspaces but it's all so confusing.dolph

Newproblem, I have used fsinn and fscopilot and sqkbox for a long time with not issues and now I cant get fsinn to work, It will not connect to the servers or no netwrks show up in the fscontol panel.also using sqbox I have to connect manually but the fs multiplayer panel stays right in the middle of the screen..I cant get any connecttion to the networks. very frustratingI dont recall changing anythingpeterPeter KCF-MMZToronto Ontario CanadaPMDG 747,737and 747F

I've tried everything and after years of successful flight simming online I have come across a problem that I can't find an answer to anywhere. I fly with FS9 on VATSIM with SB3 or FSINN and for some reason the frames go down to 1 and it starts to lock up. Processor just shows that FS9.exe is at 100% but as soon as I disconnect from SB or FSINN frames and CPU go back to normal. Does anybody have any suggestions as I've formatted my computer and am running the same machine that was working fine around the first of November. Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Corey

Ok.. I flew for a shot time in VATSIM 2 years ago. now, I want to get back in.I have a pretty good understanding of real world IFR. But I have some VASIM specific Q and would appreciate some guidence.1. Charts. Can I go to AOPA and get the latest and greatest real world charts and use that in VATSIM or do I have to have VATSIM speciied charts that may be different from real world versions?2. Hello,Brand new to Vatsim, thought I'd take the plunge, however I'm getting CTD's atfer several minutes of sitting on the ramp. I am using FSinn. The error report said the problem with imon.dll, which is part of the Eset Nod anti virus and reference to the microsoft homepage confirmed this. Anyway my question is have any of you guys experienced a problem with Eset Nod and Vatsim or any online flying? And if so is it a known issue and is there a work around? any help or even a point to a thread or article would be appreciated. I'm running fs9 on lowish spec 2.4G P4 machine, I use the default planes whenever possible to maintain 20fps+ Am I right in thinking that to use Vatsim I should have a plane which can fly sid/stars, i.e. one with an FMC?Neil.

Hi Just to let you know im planning a round the heathrow zone VFR event starting at Biggin Hill with flights going anti or clockwise around the zone .. its up to you.. and stopping at all the smaller airports along the way for a touch and go or what ever .. then arriving back at Biggin Hill . Im hoping to have ATC cover at most of the airports , all i ask is that you remain out side Heathrows class A airspace .This event will hopfully be on the Friday 15th of DEC .
