Hi guys,Back when I was flying with fs9 using fsinn1.2 I could switch the aircraft transponder to mode C with fsinn switching to the selected mode automatically. With FSX and fsinn 1.3 I found that I have to select the aircraft to mode C and then select mode c in the fsinn control panal. Is that normal? Is there a way to link the FSX transponer mode to FSINN? Thomas

Hi everybody! I've been flying on IVAO for quite some time and now I decided to try VATSIM as well. So when I start FS Inn, it processes all my airplanes, including the MTL ones, but when someone connects, I only see the defaul FSX airplanes, even when I have the exact same model and livery in the MTL. So my question is: is there a way to make FS Inn to use IVAO's MTL? And if so, how to set it?

Seems over the years that Vatsim is a lot less popular than it was. I try and fly out of ATL a lot and I rarely see controllers online. I'd figure for as decently busy of an airspace as Atlanta they would be staffed. Just wondered if there's a better alternative. Not dissing, or calling out any controllers just wishing there was more online ATC available. Makes the experience better that's for sure.

I mostly fly in and out of class C airspace around Washington and Oregon. When I file a IFR flight plan do I make initial contact with CTR upon departing my departure field? (since there is no CLR,GRD,TWR at my departure feild). Then on decent to approach will CTR clear me as filed into my destination airport? Thanks for any replies.

It seems like a funky alternative to VATSIM. Anyone getting it?

Ideally the East Coast server would be best for me considering it is the closet. However last night it was giving me major issues, and even though I typed USA-North IP in it ALWAYS connects me to East Coast no matter what i type in there? Is there some setting somewhere I musta clicked that keeps a saved configuration and something I have to do to keep it from always loading the same settings and servers so that I cannont change them?

Can anyone give me recommendations for a usb headset and mic to use with FSX and Vatsim/Squawk? I would like an open system, so I can hear engine sounds with speakers and ATC through the headset.I am going to repeat this on the Squawkbox forum, didn't know which was appropriate. I have just switched back to FS9, and I am trying to get SB to connect to VATSIM. I had this problem with FSX and forgot how I fixed it. When I load FS9 I get the sim ready to go with an A/C at the gate and then start SB4 from outside of FS. I go to connect and everything works as planned until I set a frequency and the green lights near the comm 1 and comm 2 box do not turn on. On the bottom of the SB window it says I have voice/text on 118.10, I can read and send text over the frequency and can see other aircraft. Hi all-So after working through the ins and outs of Squawkbox...which is probably the most un-intuitive program ever, with the worst documentation ever, I've discovered that the program kills my anti-aliasing when FSX is in full screen mode. This happens both when I run Squawkbox from within or FSX, or from Windows. I did some Googling, and it seems that the issue is caused by Nvidia video cards, which I have. I tried to use the Nvidia Control Panel to override the default FSX anti-aliasing settings, but that didn't work. That wasn't surprising, since the Control Panel has never been able to override FSX settings anyway.I then tried downloading nHancer to override the ant…

I try since days to configure FSInn in order to contact ATV via my microphone but so far without success.I can hear what ATC says.What puzzles me is that there is no problem what so ever using squawk box which seems toproof that my mic settings are correct.I would prefer to use FSInn.Did anybody have similar or identical problems and how were they solved ?Appreciate your ideas and help.Hubert WerniMy computer O/S : Windows XP Professional TeamSpeak installed as well

I purchased a computer microphone in order to communicate with ATC ( using Squawk Box )The calibration of the mic indicated no problems.However when I connect to SB I can hear what ATS saysbut I cannot send a voice message over the mic . Text messages work well,for sending and receiving.I checked my configurations in squawkbox and they seem correct as far as I know.Any idea of what else I should check ? I fly some out of several airports. Sometimes I have a controler in a different airspace to contact me. This happens with NY APP. I am in DC airspace. Also I fly out of IAH which is Bush and HOU which is Hobby will be giving clearences for IAH.My question is why is controllers mostly students operating airspace outside their own??? When IAH or HOU_38 is not online I use Radar Contact for my clearance and squawk andit works great for me.

Hello all,I did a search and did not find a direct solution to my problem. Here are the details:I run FSX SP2 with Windows 7. I have Squawkbox 4, no luck. I make a multiplayer game via FSX, no luck.What happens is the multi game gets created, BUT, when Igo to select network(s) to connect to for signing into VATSIM. I was thinking of finally starting to use VATSIM, which I have wanted to do for quite some time. Can anyone recommend a good first timer route? I fly heavies, so the airport would have to be large enough to accept that, but small enough that I wont make everyone annoyed (KJFK would be a bad idea!). At the same time, it would be best if the flight time was less that 3 hours. Any ideas?Thanks!
