Where to start, hmmmm. Ok, I'm using AS2012 for weather and Accu-Feel. And I simply can't recognise when AS2012 is making turbulence, and also when Accu-Feel is playing with that same turbulence. First of all, does Accu-Feel override AS2012 turbulence or it will add some turbulence over AS2012 one? Also with global turbulence slider at 100 in Accu-Feel, default Learjet is tumbling at FL300 like it is made of wood. I found that lowering global turbulence to 20 corrects this issue. Second confusing stuff is PFE conflicting with default ATC. For example when taxing to the runway, default ATC will give instructions to other aircraft on airport to hold, but PFE will not. …

Hey there fellas, I was wondering if there's an addon, or even a mod of an addon that simply adds parked (i.e Static) aircraft to every airport? At the moment, I am very much enjoying my time in the 737 NGX, and have started to pick up on using SIDs and STARs, which obviously, FSX's ATC can't handle. This is causing all sorts of issues with the WOAI traffic I have installed right now, because I'm simply not using ATC to fly my approaches and departures. So, I was wondering if airports could be automatically populated with aircraft like they would be if WOAI was running, but just not go anywhere and/or leave the gate? Thanks, Aamir

Hello all. Is there a way to tell on how to trim the aircraft for take off? I see the MAC etc. settings in the load editor, but I do not know on how to set the trim properly. The white t/o range on the pedestal leaves some room for a more nose-/ or tailheavy trimsetting for takeoff. Further: Any chance to ge the hands on a real world Dash8-Q400 AOM? Hi, I'm thinking about starting to fly in Australia, and I'd like to get one or two airports for that region. That being said, I'd like you to know that I already have AU SP4 and Brisbane as well as Alice Springs. While I'm very happy with how YBAS performs, I have serious problems with YBBN (it's the only scenery that gives me OOM errors!). What I'm looking for are airports that are large enough to handle aircraft like the A320, or at least the Dash 8, if possible within a short distance (less than about 300nm), I'd just like to know what you guys recommend. So far I've kinda narrowed it down to Coffs Harbor, Hervey Bay, Cairns, Bundaberg and Moorabbin, I'm justnot sur…

Hi Guys, I just was wondering what add ons and/or settings you have your nights set to. For some reason a lot of the times that I fly at night, it seems like its a tad too dark. I feel like you should be able to see more lights at cruising altitude or on descent rather than almost pitch dark. I do have ENB series, so that could be why. But yeah, what settings/add ons will give me the most realistic night enviroment??

The DA Cheyenne is my favourite plane so far – but the time has come to retire this grand old bird. I was wondering if fellow simmers had another plane to recommend in the same class, power/speed/immersion? I already have RA Dukes and the Lion Heart Kodiak. Staying away from Carenados (Caravan, C90) as I have heard they are pretty to look on the outside but not much else. Also not a fan of Glass panels. Any suggestions on what would be good quality plane to replace the Cheyenne? Despite being a Carenado, I have heard the C337 is not bad. Essentially looking for a medium sized GA which is not too slow. Area of operation will be FTX Southern Alaska. So so…

I have various problems that occur in Windows 7 sometimes/nearly always after exiting FSX. Of the problems I've discovered so far: - Cannot move things to recycle bin from desktop (i.e. screenshots). The icons stay on the desktop even after moving to the recycle bin, but when you browse to desktop in Windows Explorer, the files are gone. - Firefox will not start. The process is running but the browser never appears. - When I try to log off, the "Logging Off" screen appears indefinitely until I reset my PC. Anyone know what causes such strange issues? Thanks

So fellas, looking at the potential Intel's Haswell is going to bring OC wise, I'll be setting up a nice little rig with the new 4770K, meaning a new mobo. I'll also pick up a couple of GTX780's when they release, and custom WC-ing the setup. This means that my current 3770K, GTX680, H100, P8Z77-V Deluxe will go into a "new" rig. That brings me to my question: Can I split up simulation tasks between the PCs, considering they're both more than powerful enough to handle FSX on their own? I'm not thinking about running planning software on one either, I'm thinking more of having a dedicated system to run the complex frame-eating aircraft addons, like the NGX for example, a…

Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on scenery and airports for FSX. I have the following installed: FSGenesis North America, Atlantic, Mexico, South America and part of Northern Europe/Asia, Ultimate Terrain X - USA and Aerosoft Approaching Innsbruck X. I like what I see in the one Aerosoft product that I have. What about the other airports they offer? What about freeware? Should I install Ultimate Terrain X - Europe? There is a kind of "cup" in the middle of pedal, and I am wondering what goes in that "cup"? The heel of my foot? The ball of the foot? Hey guys, I've purchased Opus but the sim computer has been out of action for a while pending a rebuid - hence I can't play around with it at the moment. One of the issues i recall having with it (and this was on an older version where weather could only be detected out to about 300nm) was how to plan for LH flights when you needs winds aloft data. From what I understand programs like AS2012/ASE look at your planed route and calculate the wind at each waypoint, which you can then enter into the FMC or flight planning program, but from what I gather with Opus it only detects weather out to about 800 nm, so how do you go about planning? Hi all, I have been using FSXAssist for a couple of weeks now with moderate to good results, however yesterday I set FSXAssist to "Real Time" and oh boy what a difference! I'm now getting a constant 30fps and really smooth flight and landings. Fantastic piece of software.

Can someone please confirm when is the correct time to turn FTX regions on and off? My understanding is that if your flight involves flying over any region you have installed, they should be ON, otherwise they should be off. So for example if I own England and Australia: Heathrow to Amsterdam - England ON Australia OFF Sydney to Delhi - England OFF Australia ON Sydney to Heathrow - England ON Australia ON Munich to Geneva - England OFF Australia OFF Is this correct? i recently had a couple of OOM errors, although I believe I have fixed them. I never got the beep beep warning that used to preceed them. My FSUIPC is the latest version although unreg version, anyone else have this happen? If so do you know how I can switch the beep back on? Regards
