You know, it seems as if most of us have been able to wade through the elements needed to get the aircraft off the ground and flying. The one thing I still find lacking, is a COMPLETE description of the way to program and activate the FMS on this aircraft. I know were not dealing with a Boeing type, but the two "tutorials" do a half way job but not a complete one in my humble opinion, of explaining how to use this FMS. Is there someone out there who could get us off the ground, with a flight plan procedure that can be properly activated and will follow through til destination? Or, must we wait until the next version arrives. I don't have a problem with that as long as I…

Pretty good freeware plane but I see no cabin lighting at all, is there any? I do see instrument lighting at night but no way to light the cabin itself. Also, the landing lights are crazy bright and poorly done, any fix for this? Or a Shockwave 3D config?

Today i was looking at my fsx box cover an i saw in one area that it should animals . But when i think about it i have never seen any animals in fsx yet . Am i the only one or have anyone seen animals in fsx ? If you have what part of the world did you see it? Also was it moving?

Which VA do you fly the Dash 8 with? I have just joined FlyBe as my other VA's (BA,FlyUK and AirChild) don't use the D8 Q400, which is a shame.

I am doing a fresh FSX install - for a number of reasons - and was just wondering what is the best order to install things in? Aside from normal FSX and SP1/SP2 I have the following: - REX - Active Sky - GEX - UTX - Orbx England - Various individual airports Is there a correct/best order to install these addons in? Thanks

I'm amazed that there seems to be almost no mention on these forums about this aircraft! From what I can gather, when released, we will be looking at a (hopefully) 'PMDG-esque' rendition of the A320, making for even more realism across short European trips that the 737 doesn't serve. BA, Lufthansa, Iberia, TAP, easyJet all come to mind. I'm far mor excited about this than the PMDG T7 for example, as I like to fly routes with real equipment and I don't get 8 hours at a time to fly long haul. This is after the new FSUIPC. I cannot get into FSX I reinstalled with FSUIPC.DLL bu couldn't start FSX. so I then copied over FSUIPC_LOADER.dll and reinstalled FSUIPC (The loader file is required if FSUIPC cannot find sim connect or something. I deleted the fsuipc.ini and deleted fsx.cfg as well Started FSX and its not load FSX..it freezes. hello everyone, I just started using Active Sky 2012 for my FSX. However, when I am on the vitual cockpit view (seeing the clouds) and when switching to the external view (pressing the S-key three times) the clouds disapper... and then, when I switch back again to the virtual cockpit it takes around 5 seconds to see them again. Please excuse me. I have ADHD and get real confused in forums. I'm looking for simple easy to follow tutorials for modding. I am a texture artest working with Genetica 4, and PSPX, as well as a modeler working with Hexagon and a CG artest working with Carrara. I'm trying to gather together the tools for the job, but would really apreciate the tutorials. I've downloaded the awesome Active ILS VHHX Kai Tak airport addon by Jim Vile to bring Kai Tak alive in FSX. After completing a few flights to Kai Tak in my A300B4, MD-11F and B744 I'd really like a Boeing 747-200 or 300. So what I am looking for is a Boeing 747-200 or -300 for FSX that has realism somewhere around the A300. Does anyone know any complex Boeing 747-200/300s out there? I know CLS has a Boeing 747-200/300, but I have no idea if it has much systems modelling. Thanks, Nathan3219

Does anyone have any experience using the Integrated Simavionics (ISGsim GNS) with the DC-9 in place of the default FSX GPS?

I am curious because, I just bought a brand new airplane for FSX and although tons of work has gone into making it with it's high quality textures, sounds and features, it has a lot of bugs that seem glaring to me. When some piece of software is released, it is practically unheard of that there wont be a service pack due to bugs but, those bugs are things that crop up due to different system configurations, or unanticipated things. Unfortunately, I am finding things that are obvious and that stand out as if the maker just lost patience or some other reason. For example, parts of the graphics in the gauges are upside down. Problem is, surely these things could be fixed…

Is there a way to turn gauge lights on? Has a pdf manual but it's in French. Cabin light is obviously red but no gauges light up.

hello everybody, I just included Active Sky 2012 into my add-on list for FSX, pretty cool so far. I was just wondering how can I transfer the route planning (I used RouteFinder) into Active Sky so that I can determine the weather during all waypoints? Thanks for any comment!!

This plane hand-flies very well but I always seems to be in over speed when using V/S and select a descend. I have read in the system doc that the throttles need to be managed but there is no example. Aside from V/S mode which other mode can I use for a manual descend? Thanks in advance.

Loving this aircraft and it’s immersion into flight dynamics! I’ve looked at the included manuals, and the am going through the Tutorial v2 also at the moment, but can’t find the answers to these issues (both relate to the AP): 1. IAS Mode: I understand what this is, and I have used it to change climb pitch according to the speed that I am requesting. But I’m guessing at the target speed by trial and error- is there somewhere that the commanded IAS (knots) is shown? I would have expected on the PFD, but can’t see it there. 2. NAV Mode: In the tutorial (v2), I depart and engage the AP to HDG, then change the Heading knob as the tutorial calls for. I t…

Hi everyone, I followed the sample flight, but the Altitude/Speed section in flight plan just look empty apart from the STAR and Approach way points with restrictions. Is there a place to key in cruise altitude information in the FMS so that it can fill in all the altitude and speed for the way points automatically? Thanks Zicheng

I was wondering how do real world private GA pilots fly? Are GPS now common/standard on all small privately owned GA planes? My sim flying is almost exclusively small GA in desolate areas outside of air corridors - in FSX I often fly by visual landmarks and maps? Is this an antiquated method of navigation? It does keep me occupied and makes flights eventful but is it actually common these days? Or Is GPS flying the actual as real as it gets?

Hi folks, As a time saver, would it be possible to incorporate into your load manager some preset loads like the AXE and NGX? A button with Empty/Random/Full would be very useful for us more casual simmers. Also an option to calculate and populate the v-speeds automatically would also be a neat time saver for those who wish to use it (others who don't can still use the cards). Okay it sounds lazy but I thought I'd ask! :smile: Thanks, David
