Flying out of the UK, I found this. As I left DVR heading towards France, It happened earlier today towards the south of spain, Flying over small islands such as Ibiza etc

I notice there are two payware Zurich airports. As I recently went to Zurich in real life I would like to add this airport to my sim. Does anyone have any experience with either the FSDT or Aerosoft Zurich offerings? I'm leaning towards FSDT as I'm thinking of getting GSX at some point and would expect the integration to be better in an FSDT product, but I'm not really sure. Any tips appreciated!

Hi all The PMDG 737 NGX and FSX have been sitting on my hard drive for one or two years now. I really would like to simulate Ryanair operations from the UK to mainland Europe. Can you guys give me a shopping list of what to buy? things like the best sceneries, ATC and weather, route planners, things that add to the FS experience etc. Your advice is highly appreciated. Quick question, does anyone know of a good freeware or payware MIA scenery for FSX/P3D? All that I know of is LatinVFR's offering. Thanks

Hi everyone, I really want to go to FSX from FS9. Here's my present situation. Computor is no problem. I have the latest that technology can get. I have FS9 on C Drive and FSX on D drive by itself. No problem at all with FS9. FSX I get out of memory on long flight. Here's a few questions: 1- How can I pur HIGHMEMFIX=1 fix to fsx.cfg. Where is fsx.cfg? I can't find it. 2- I have GO-FLIGHT set for FS9 and FSX but it work only with FS9 and not for FSX (Only throttle work for FSX 3- I have the Tracking IR5. Work fine with FS9. Very interesting. So instead of a walking platform you have a sitting one. A previous post about the Oculus mentioned that it would be hard to control buttons and dials. However the kinect can sense your hands and what buttons, dials and levers you are controlling in the virtual cockpit.

FSX can still after 7 years be a bit of a pig to get running well (or so I've heard), but is it really as bad as the forums may lead you to believe? After all most people would not make a new thread about how excellent the simmers life is every time they had a flight and FSX didn't crash. I'm guessing AVSIM would be flooded with one post threads with zero discussion value if people did, but I could be wrong... I want to set a joystick button to "Spot View" and the closest I've come in FSUIPC is using it to assign a joystick button to the cycle view option, which means I have to cycle through cockpit, spot, tower etc. I'm sure there's a way to set a button to Spot View specifically, could someone please give me a nudge in the right direction? Hi all, I am having a problem with stuttering. The best way to describe it is: when I am at a low altitude and look out the window the scenery will hesitate for a split second and then it resumes again. I would call it micro stuttering. This happens with the standard FSX scenery. I have not other scenery installed at the moment. However, I achieve a good performance with a good steady FPS of around 30 with the external framerate limiter in Nvidia Inspector. I have a good system, custom built for FSX (see my PC specs, with SSD’s), but the stuttering is there no matter what aircraft, weather, display settings, and config settings I try. so... we're starting to get into some pretty cool tech with our planes but, some of these cool items may or may not (not being more likely) work in Windows XP. So... I guess what I'm looking for here is how many of you are still using XP...

So I go to buy the Carenado TMB 850 and what do I see in very small print....NO 2D cockpit. Put my credit card away and saved my money. Thats 3 down, including PMDG and Capt Sim, no 2D, no money from me. For you VC addicts, dont bother, I dont like the VC, dont use the VC, dont care about the VC, dont like TrackIR, and really don't care to hear for the umpteenth time that 2D cockpits are a thiing of the past. There are still many developers who dont shoot themselves in the foot and those I will continue to support.

I was just curious, but, what clue do I have in FSX that my trim is set right if I am using a GA aircraft?

I'm thinking of getting a Surface Pro or Levano Touch for using Avilasoft EFB and pdf charts & checklists. Anyone else use the EFB on a similar device? Is an 11" or 13" screen large enough to see anything clearly?

Hi all I'm hoping somebody can help with this issue that has been happening for the past couple of flights. Its kinda hard to explain so check out the screenshot This problem occurs whenever dirt, tyre smoke, water spray or aerobatic smoke is supposed to happen. I'm really stuck and can't figure it out! What are some nice areas to fly in FSX with the default scenery? I run vanilla FSX, without any add-ons.

Hello, I wasnt sure what forum to post this in, but I am unable for the life of me how to install multiple WOAI packages at once. Anybody can help out with this issue? I downloaded latest installer from avsim and I cant even install 2 at once. Thank you for any help.

hello guys, Is there a good free-cost website where you can input a flight plan (i.e. waypoints and airways) and then see it in the map? something like google earth? I am getting my flight plan from RouteFinder, but there is not map in here. The other one I have tried is SimRoutes, however it seems that it is more restricted to certain routes (for example i cannot find any flight plan EDDS-EDDM..) Thanks!!

As per the title, chaps. I've already got Aivlasoft's EFB and will be getting AS 2012 up on my networked PC - the only thing left to shift over to it is PFE. But my suspicion is it won't use simconnect and I'll have to shell out for WideFS. Anyone know what the story is?

My frame rates are in the 40's but I just started getting frequent stutters that last a second or more. Any suggestions on what could have changed in the fs config file to cause this? Thanks a lot, Howard

Hi! I have recently been having a problem with my FSX, when I install a addon scenery manually they work fine at the first FSX startup, but turns black when starting FSX the second time. Everything that's customized for the addon scenery turns black so for most scenerys that is the runway, buildings and taxiways. (Sorry but I can't add a image!) I have made two fresh FSX installs and it won't solve the problem so I would like some help. :( I got Windows 7 64 bit and FSX with Acceleration installed including the following addons: PMDG JS4100 PMDG 747x PMDG NGX Milviz f-15e Simcheck a300 Cera Sim Bell 222 ORBX s45 EmilvK

I was spoilt by EZCA and Accufeel. I'm using both since the release and they became something I can't imagine FSX without. Maybe I'm strange but the completely static VC view in Q400 really bothers me. No head movement, no turbulence, nothing. This is quite noticeable at takeoff and specially at landing. Since we're not in real airplane this feeling of those forces is missing and dynamic head movement is one way to get a little bit of that back. I got so accustomed to DHM and Accufeel effects that flying in Q400 just feels strange to me. I know most people are really enjoying this fantastic bird, I wish I could too. hey all i'm very very newbie on dash 8 and i'm about to buy this awesome bird from majestic;but after reading the manuals,i found out that we can only control propellers via a joystick axis because of FADEC.is that true?because my stick has only one axis for throttle.
