I downloaded the blueskyscenery and I am trying to figure out how to install them into fsx. I copied the folders into the scenery folder and went into the scenery library. I clicked on add area but when I click on the folder pertaining to the scenery it is blank. I have windows 7 and I heard about the clicking on a blank area but that did nothing either. Also I searched and found nothing but on blueskyscenery it has the FSX scenery d/l as well as a separate airports download. Do I need the airports download? Some areas I have add on airports so I don't know if I need the additional or not. Areas that I don't have an add on airports would it be good to download the …

Just saw these on Carenado's Facebook page. Check the MFD, either this G1000 has more depth than their other models or the MFD may have some dummy pages. Hopefully its the former...

In your opinion (other than PMDG) who has the next best quality add on and what aircraft is it. What makes it so good? Maybe you think it is better than PMDG? I know the work that PMDG has done has caused a lot of other companies to start to re-think the way they are producing products, but so far I have not seen any that I would consider worthy. I mean I really do not need to adjust my seat if it does not change my view. Maybe I have missed some. What do you think? Thanks, Ron

I was doing my usual morning thing - flying the FSX CRJ to Indy - when I just sat back, sighed deeply, and thought, "This is really so much fun." Who know what it is that triggers such a silly thing - sitting at a computer in the basement and watching a virtual world fly by - in an old retired guy, but there it is. Granted, it's perhaps not the best use of my time, by, by gosh, it is so much fun. Anyway, here's a pic of my setup, with the wonderful OpusFSX providing the clouds and MegasceneryEarth-Indiana providing the visuals. And with LIveATC playing in the background, maybe it touches some long lost dream of my childhood!!!

sorry if this has been asked, but is there a random failure feature similar to PMDGs. by that i mean is that the airframe accrues flight time and failures are programmed to occur at a realistic rate based on that flight time? and if it is not currently modeled, are there plans for it in the pro version? thanks adam

Trying to start this Avia 57's old engines. I can only click on the starter buttons, not drag them. The switch flips to the On position for 3 sec then switches Off by itself. No matter how fast I reclick on the starter button the engine just doesn't turn long enough for it to start. Is there a way to fix this somehow? Besides Ctrl-E of course. The VC switches do move but they can not be clicked. Only the 2D panel allows mouse interaction.

Lately I did some reading about x-palne now I noticed that there is an Upgrade. I am thinking of what X-Plane can give and what is the difference between X-plane and FS2K2. I am more into IFR and do not know whether it is worth having both, so any advice from real users.Thanks

Sorry, I meant this Memorial Day? Maybe not... As far as I know, I believe memorial day is a day to remember (not celebrate), those who died at war, isn't it? I run FSX Accel + under Windows 7 64-bit. I run FSX in the Windows mode. In the last couple of days my mouse (USB mouse)cursor goes crazy within the FSX windows. The cursor appears to blink rapidly making it harder to access a mouse button. The cursor only blinks in the FSX window. Once you move the corsor out of that window, it works fine - no blink. I've tried resetting the USB plug. This didn't help. I tried restarting the OS - that didn't help. Has anyone else experienced this rapid blinking when they fly? Thanks Frank

Hello all. Me again with another FPS issue. The QW 757 is performing a bit poorly on my rig right now. I did some additional tweaking that brought the FPS up a bit to about 12. But, that is still stuttery and hard to fly. Do you fine folks have any suggestions? I have tweaked following most of the guide on this site and it works well with every aircraft even in Orbx scenery on medium high settings. I stay at 25FPS out of a target of 25FPS most of the time, but the QW seems to cut that in about 1/2. All suggestions appreciated. John

Hey, So I have been using the x52 pro with fsx for a while now and not had any problems, Now my birthday is around the corner and my girlfriend as gone and got me Saitek yoke, throttle and pedals only got them today and looking to install over the weekend but I don't have the best luck with fsx so something is bound to go wrong and ill probity spend all weekend trying to get them working and no flying, I have seen people having problems with Saitek pedals when not using Fsuipc ie when trying to configure toe breaks So my question is do I need Fsuipc ? what is Fsuipc id be grateful for any help thank you Craig

Hello, I've discussed it in the forum driver sub forum but I thought that it could interest a broader audience. Fellow simmers and myself have noticed that windows automatically updates nvidia drivers. It seems to be a new feature. Since all drivers are not FSX compatible it can create problems whose origin is not easy to identify if you are not aware of those background updates. Besides nvidia inspector settings have to be reset.

I know I've seen this topic discussed but can find exactly the answer I need. Firstly DHM is brilliant especially in the big iron however I find it a bit disorientating whilst on the ground. Basically I want DHM over a specific speed. Is this achievable? zoran

I've got FSUIPC and ENDOK . I see videos where you show the plane in the sky and the camera will pan in every direction, even at times going close and far. What's the setup for that? Thanks

Hi, OK, I just brought the software and have some questions. Its installed, but not working yet. The main use I want, is to be able to have outside views at the same time as my cockpit view. I have another PC right next to my flight PC and its netwroked to my main PC, via a switch and ethernet cable. To do this , I assume I need to have FSX installed on the other PC and presumably, all the scenery & planes I want to view on the 2nd PC yes? What are you guys experience of a similar set up, how does it work and how easy is it to set up? I tried the 2nd (more advanced) tutorial last night- as usual, my issue was never getting enough FSX time what with work and gym schedules, so I got the aircraft to the “engine start” point in the document, where I created a saved flight file. Just for info, before I turned the PC off, I re-started FSX and went to the saved flight file I had just created, and everything looked exactly as it should, as well as the FMS programming. Those of us with Level D and PMDG products have become accustomed to saved panel states- they are great for those of us that find it hard to get time on our PC’s for fun- how elaborate is the “panel save” routine on this product? Hi there, My name is Rein from Holland and I am an addicted FS fan for a few years now. Now is the time for me to step over to the Jets. I find it important to understand the theory behind flying. So I started following the lessons in FS9/FSX. Private pilot, instrument pilot and commercial pilot. I passed the checkrides so now I have several certificates. I started reading the first lesson for ATP (Airline Transport Pilot). After that I started the practical part; flying the default 737 (Jet checkout) Here is my problem. Flying the PMDG 737NGX with HI FI AS2012 to handle the weather, as always, I tried to change the 3D Clouds setting in AS2012 and to modify the weather settings : the FPS dropped down to 5, and the sky became grey, as I was at FL390 ! I supposed there was something wrong in AS2012 and stopped both, FSX and AS2012. Launching FSX again without AS, the sky is still grey, even if I select the fine weather in FSX weather, the blue sky has disappeared. I tried to delete the FSX.cfg but the new one doesn't improve the situation. Does any one have an idea about that kind of problem, and where can it be fixed ? ? Thanks Pierre

Today i saw a Rail Away Switzerland edition. The scenery around Lugano with the lakes and mountains looks quite breathtaking. Wondered what it would look like from the air in FSX... I guess then the best thing to go for is still Flylogic Switzerland, right ? I searched for comments about it here but it didn't turn up that much... Does anybody here have it ? Do you still fly her on a regular basis ? I know it's an Avsim Gold Star and that the review were pretty good at the time but the best judge to know wheter a plane is good or not is if you still fly it a lot a year or two after it reach the market. As I'm considering buying it I would appreciate your answer. Thanks in advance.
