When flying, after a while i hear 'Altimeter setting', it keeps repeaing (Dash 8 Q400), even though my altimeter setting is on standard... Any idea of what the problem can be and how to fix it? Thanx

Looking to get a new traffic package, been using My Traffic X 5.4b (ish) and happy, my question is can anyone give me their thoughts pros and cons on Just Flights Traffic 360 and My Traffic X 2013. Thanks Rich

I'm not sure if this is an issue, or if it's in fact completely normal, but whenever I get up above about 10,000ft, and mainly when in cruise, the DASH every 30 seconds or so sways (i.e. One wing drops slightly), and continually rocks, sometimes quite violently. This certainly doesn't seem normal, as it doesn't happen in any other plane (I do get random turbulence). I have OpusFSX, AccuFeel and FSUIPC. I've had to disable DHM in OpusFSX because of the uncontrollable stuttering, I also tried disabling AccuFeel for this plane, which makes no difference. I've also turned off turbulence settings in FSX, and the random turbulence settings in FSUIPC. All make no difference. Ev…

Hi all, I come from a Boeing background with FS2crew. I have never flown a plane on my own as i've always had a FO. Is flying the dash on your own easy to pick up or is it a steep learning curve?

Just made a paint using the large fuselage file in Gimp. I don't see any guide lines to export it to the smaller files. Can anyone help?

After installing Dash8 Q400 (last version), suddenly the steering tiller is gone crazy. I use Saitek yoke, 2 Saitek throttle quadrant and Satek rudder pedals. I've assigned in FsUipc "Steering Inc" and "Steering Dec" to two different buttons, with the "repeat while held" flag checked and "Steering set" command when the buttons are released. The problem is when I start steering, the tiller does not return centered, but stays turned. So it's impossibile to taxiing and taking off. The same happens using Saitek rudder pedals: the steering whell stays turned, does not return centered. This happens. I've uninstalled the Majestich Dash8 and FsUipc, then I've tried t…

Okay I know the Dash 8 Q-400 just came out, but is anyone other than me intrested in a good Saab 340? or even a 2000? Just curious to see what people think.

No matter which airport or which ILS approach, or which aircraft, with autopilot and approach hold on, the localizer is mis-aligned with the runway, so I have to do a slight left bank right before landing. I have not added any scenery or changed any airport files. I have the latest Navigraph loaded into FS Commander and Radar Contact. Any clue?

Aerosoft have just released "Skiathos X", the St Maarten of the Greek Islands. I've just downloaded and quickly flown across the island is the DR400, and it is special !!!! Hi All I'm trying to advance my simming by the addition of SIDs and STARs into my flights, and am looking for a little guidance on the approach part of what I do. So, I'm flying along, in this instance from EGGD to EDDM and I have EDDM ATIS tuned, so that I can find out which runway is active. I find out that 8R is the active runway. When I go into the DEP/ARR page of the FMC and look at the EDDM 08R procedures, there are several STARs listed. I consult the charts to identify the STARs which are appropriate to my direction of arrival and see the following: I arbitrarily choose the ABGAS1A STAR. Hi, I will get straight to the points :mellow: 1) Small bug,If I use GSX for push back, after the push, when push back is over GSX finishes with one of the Frazers as it starts, like it's about to loop. Like I say not a biggie. I know about the engine start bug. On that, I cannot start the second engine during push back even if I start the first before hook up, only after the push. 2) Never have I had or heard of this bug before, the flight am doing ATM is a sort flight from Leeds to East Midlands (UK) using FSX ATC. Is there any way of avoiding a collision between the follow me car ( and sometimes my aircraft ) into planes that are in our path? The car just drives right through them.

I started using default FSX AI at 30%(with world of AI packages models/textures) and liveatc.net on all my Vatsim flights, because the two things I hate most on Vatsim are empty skies/airports, and no ATC. AI traffic at 30% gives barely a hit on frames but keeps the skies and airports reasonably populated with traffic. Liveatc.net gives a huge sense of immersion when you don't have ATC online in your area. FSINN allows AI traffic even when connected to the network (only for fsx), but afaik squawkbox disables AI traffic and so does fsinn for fs9. Liveatc.net is great because its free, and you have dozens of frequencies to choose from. If I want busy chatter…

So, as we all know, both RealAir and A2A are developing a C172. Which will be out first? I am looking for a steam gauge N model preferably, but I will take anything. I hope it will have a GPS530 or similar, not a G1000 though. Do NOT want that! `And, which do you guys think will be the most realistic? I have decided after a four year break I have decided to give FSX another go. I have pretty much decided on the hardware which will be a ASUS N56vz laptop with i7 and dedicated graphics. As for software things have moved on considerably so what can you recommend for mainly UK and Europe. I will leave crossing the pond till I get going. I will probably be asking for utopia I.e. good frame rates and good eye candy. Catching up I would like few passenger aircraft B737, Airbus? Some quality airfields? Hi there. Thanks for your excellent software. From what I have seen, I wished I hadnt bought AS and Ezydok! Only have one issue. If I start FSX, load up the pmdg737NGX 738W which I usually use, select VC and all appears OK, buttons and switches can be clicked and turned. Once I run Opus, and the VC loads, none of the switches/rotarys are clickable or working. I did change the Captain 737 default view, changing only the zoom to 1.00, so the outside view is not like fisheye view and used the opus zoom in the live panel to zoom in slightly...otherwise all stock. As a by, I also created a throttles view (still in VC) from the captains seat perspective and all the switches…

I want to disable cockpit sounds of PMDG 737 & Captain Sim 777 products. Is there a way to do it? While recording videos there are sounds playing back from cockpit too.

Hi guys, just a quick one: I'm having problems saving the position and size of the ATC window. I move it to where I want, re-size it and then save the flight, ticking the box as 'set as default.' When I re-load the flight the top left corner of the ATC window is in the correct position, but the size isn't saved. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, Robert

Hi outhere, I am as many other sim-enthusiast trying to gain the best out of my flight experience with FSX and after 4-5 years of development its time for me to upgrade with MCP,EFIS,CDUII and a second monitor for PFD/ND for my NGX. Currently i have a single ATI HD5870 1GB card which controls 1 main LCD ,1 PFD/ND Monitor and the CDU II by Vrinsight. Now if i want to take the sim to a new level by adding eyefinity and 2 extra LCD with same resolution i guess for my main views would it be possible to add a second card (HD7970 for instance) and still having the CDUII and the monitor with the PFD/ND?? If YES : Would it be a disaster regarding FPS ? IF NO: Sad…

Hello, I am looking for decent Mesh and Scenery files for Central and northern california for FSX. I am aware FTX Global is possibly coming out 15 June and I may purchase this depending on price and circumstance. I do have Megascenery So Cal already and FTX Pacific Northwest - but there is this scenery gap I wish to fill for North and central California Can anyone suggest either decent freeware or payware (I don't want the whole USA) that offers MESH and Landclass scenery?
