Guys, I've been a Boeing guy until somewhat recently, and one of the features I find most helpful in planning and monitoring my descents is the Banana (descent Arc). I'm learning the AXE Airbus A320/321 and the Majestic Dash 8, and I've noticed they both seem to lack the Banana. Does anyone know if the real world aircraft have the descent arc for the Navigation display? Thanks in advance. Dave

Although it is an older plane, I bought the Eaglesoft TC a few months ago. I like it a lot. But I have a question to address to other owners of this model. It doesn't seem to have an ADF radio or display. Am I missing something?

Does anyone else have this issue at night with FSX/Accell, or could I have something screwed up in my config? It's at all airports I've checked.All the runway marker lights sit about 2 feet off the ground, instead of at ground level. Then if I pan down to ground level in spot, they actually disapear as if I am viewing them from underneath or below ground level. I also notice that "these" lights (as well as some of the autogen vegetation such as the tumble weeds at Edwards (not the trees)) disappear when the a/c pans behind them - even though they are in front (or nearer) to you? This seems like an alpha or transparency issue?Do you notice this as well? Just trying to dete…

Hi all, The hat control on my Saitek does not seem to control the views. I have configured my joystick with hat switch as button and assigned them under Keys and Buttons. I have version 1.17.

I've posted in the past about my love/hate relationship with photoscenery, particularly about the way things look approaching and departing airports. In light of that, I also wanted to highlight the good side, when all the pieces come together. I'd recently DL'ed Anthony Cacciatore's "Green Bay X HD" from the library and installed it for use with GEX/REX which is what I had for Wisconsin. Last night, I added Megascenery V2 Wisconsin to go along with Illinois, and flew from KMDW up to Green Bay to see how things looked with the new photoscenery. In a word? Excellent! I've got my hands full with FSUIPC and EZDOK going on at the same time. I know two assignments shouldn't be programed on the same button/key. In FSUIPC I went through every key and button and uninstalled all assignments to start fresh. Did my EZDOK thing, that was successful. Then I went back to FSUIPC to assign joystick / key assignments for controls. The result is controls that I don't want. Example; when I press the lower trigger on the Saitek Joystick for the brakes that I assigned, the screen freezes and I see slew in the lower right hand corner of the screen. Hi all I have just bought a 500GB Samsung 840 SSD and before I install I thought I would ask a couple of questions and see if you guys have any tips. I plan on replacing my excisting HDD with the SSD and install the OS and FSX on the same SSD drive (FSX under C and not default location). My PC is an i7 OC to 4.6ghz with 16GB RAM Asus P67 Sabertooth MB. Questions 1. Which is best - fresh SSD install or clone install from org HDD. 2. So I keep seeing this product advertised on AVSIM and thought it would add more realism to my FSX experience. I've seen lots of reviews about this item and while the majority of them are positive, there are quite a few that describe problems such as detents in the operation of the aileron and elevator controls as well as buttons that seem to operate by themselves. I have a few questions that I hope my fellow flight sim enthusiasts can answer: 1. I have a number of add-on's that are in regular rotation in my hangar. I am flying around the world within one year. It started on Apr27,2013 from Hong Kong. I plan to visit over 100 detailed city airports scenery. I will take videos and photos to share with you throughout the entire route. The aircraft I may use are cessna 208b and beechraft. It may just VFR flight from airport to airport. What do you guys do to get ready for a long distance flight as far as flight planning goes? It's not hard for me to find a plan on flightaware or vroute if I'm doing a 2 hour flight, but longer distance flights are proving to be an issue. I was going to do IAH-OMDB, but I can't find a route that works on 1304.

Hi, can anyone recommend any Macau Scenery, payware or freeware that compliments Fly Tampa's Kai Tak. I enjoy the short hop but the default Macau is a bit bland compared to Fly Tampa's excelllent scenery regards Steve

I uninstalled FSUIPC because I was having problems with ENDOK and FSUIPC working together ( see my post- FSUIPC ,is it really worth it? ) I used CC Cleaner , then I was going into FSX to try to configure the FSX buttons for ENDOK, Then I was going to reinstall FSUIPC. Hi All, Hope someone can answer what is going on here & have a solution.. After installing a new graphics card, I'm seeing a reduction in the rendering radius, despite my settings being the same as they were before. - I'll be dealing with the slower scenery & autogen loading time separately. More specifically for this question, I'm seeing a 'reduction' in what seems to be the rendering radius of both my own aircraft AND Ai aircraft. Hello! :-) First off, let me apologise if this is the wrong forum - slightly new here :rolleyes: I'm having abit of a hassle with my EzDok. I just reinstalled Windows, and now it won't work. I can't pan around or edit my views. I have unbinded all of the necessary buttons in FSX. Here's some pictures. In other words, the views are unmoveable. Any help? :-) (PS. Does anybody use this addon? It is rather expensive as you have to buy it with Halifax Scenery (both together about 55 Can$). I'm asking because I really like to fly with my new Majestic DQ400 to RW destinations - and CYTZ is a prominent Hub for Dash-8-Q400 traffic. So how does it perform and how is the quality of this addon? Is it worth the money? Thanks Harry

hi seems worse than before .when aircraft is picked from menu,it now leaps 400 - 500ft into the air.only way to stop it is to reset the flight and pick a new gate. is it just me or are others seeing this?? steve

When I start my descent before the TD the plane starts a gentle descent (-1000/ftm) till it intercepts the profile path.It then noses down, literally diving -2000 ftm ending up below the path. It tries intercept the path again by going up at more or less 2000ftm going way above the path.The plane basically flies like a dolphin.I made sure the cwog was at 30%.no joy.I also made sure the flight plan was realistic but nothing seems to help. Vdev is alwasy + o r less 1000.If I'm lucky. Am I missing something ? Thanks V

Just downloaded the latest verison 1.006 of the fantastic Dash from Majestic, but when i run the installer, the message "INSTALLER EXHAUSTES" comes up! Please! Majestic, or who ever reads. Help me fix this, so I can fly/run the latest version of this awsome bird! Best Regards Per

Morning/evening gents, I'm looking for a decent GA light twin to get my teeth stuck into but there's quite a few on the market so wonder if anyone has any recommendations or comments. I think my only preference is that I'm happy with regular flight instruments or small sized PFD's alongside small navigation/weather MFD units. I'm having an interesting problem, ever since I changed the FSX cfg so all flights start with parking brake on, the a/c have spawned way to close to the airport, like so: It's not something with the individual aircraft; this happens with every single plane I have at all airports I've been to. I'm using the default FSX scenery for the airports. Any thoughts?

A short question: Is there a way (piece of software / Ini files...whatever) to see the active dep and arr runways within FSX during real weather conditions wihout using ATIS. If you want to know why i ask this question read on. Using Real world weather, the SID is no problem cause i can get the info from ATIS. The Star is a different story. Dear Majestic, I wish to complain. You see, I used to enjoy flying 5 or 6 of the highest quality aircraft add-on releases for FSX. Since the release of your Q400, I have found that, despite trying, I cannot enjoy any other aircraft within the hobby. I won't mention any products or brands, but suffice to say even the 'cream of the crop' just are not measuring up for me any more, in terms of immersion, quality, sound, performance, and flight model.
