Hello, I was following through the advanced tutorial, although I was flying my own route. I had followed everything to the letter and had gotten into the air. When the time came to enable NAV mode, I made sure the source was selected to FMC1. Upon hitting the NAV button, the plane would constantly begin a hard banking left turn. I would disconnect and go back to HDG mode to stay on course. At this point I referred to the advanced tutorial where it talks about doing (for lack of a better term) DTO the next waypoint. Hi Can someone direct me to the instructions on how to enter the correct NAV / ILS freq / station (such as 148.1) into the plane to pick up the ILS glide scope? The SR22 has a numpad, but I don't know how to use it to enter in the frequency. Thanks.

Hi there, it's been nearly 2 weeks since its release and I haven't flown anything else, period. I'm one of those fortunate simmers that didn't have any of the sound and/or bouncing problems (and I do feel for the users that experience those), but this Q400 is something else. Not only are the systems great (my favorite is icing/de-icing features), the VC is simply stunning and not only does it look right - but also feels right with a great immersion factor, especially if you forget to turn on the window heaters..... Hello fellow simmers, I just overclocked my PC to a stable 4.1Ghz. I also uninstalled FSX and every addons I have, then reinstalled from scratch. I then proceeded to tweaked my graphic settings, went through Bojote's fsx.cfg tweaker as well. Step by step, one by one, I reinstalled my add-on, making sure to run my test flight each time and monitor the FPS to see if any addon cause an FPS drop. Before reinstalling any addon plane or AI traffic, I'm runnning a steady 60 fps, locked by an external frame limiter. OK, so this is a very tenuous link to FSX, but I felt so good about this that I had to share it. I was doing some spotting at LHR with my Dad on Saturday and we found out that there was a massive aviation enthusiasts fair at LGW on the Sunday, so we popped along. Hi guys, I replaced the default music files, with some WAVs of my own, but they are now not playing at all, when they should be. Are there any sub-conditions to the WAV format, for the files to play? Eg.... My WAV files are 44kHz, do they need to be 22kHz, or any other requirements ? Cheers.

How do you setup for a RNAV approach? I know how to use the FMS and select the arrival and approach. What I'm not sure of is how to use the autopilot features for landing. Thanks. Bob

Hi all I tried to install the Microsoft sdk kit for fsx but i'm having real problems getting it to work I've been through all the troubleshooting but I'm still drawing a blank I've disabled all my addons then tried to run but the tools option still does not show I've checked the dll file and all the paths seem ok and I've checked that none of the sdk files are set for disabled True. Strange thing though and this is probably the reason it will not work is in my fsx cfg file under trusted the sdk links although I have them set to 1 and saved every time I run fsx then go back and check the fsx.cfg they have been changed back to 0 Any ideas why it keeps doing this here'…

Hi, I reinstalled my Windows and FSX several days ago but this time FPS Limiter does not work and when I click on FPS Limiter shortcut, the message " fsx - Application Error - The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). click OK to close the application." appears. By the way FSX works normally without FPS Limiter and I have installed latest version of JAVA.

I know these programs are doing two different things but there would seem to be some overlap and that begs the question. I have been using EZDOK for a while and it sure changes the whole FSX Experience for the better. I like the camera movement in the VC and it certainly adds to the realism but by far my favourite feature is the ability to setup multiple camera views both inside and out and the smooth transition from one view to the next with keyboard shortcuts. Especially great in the NGX. But I'm a complete newcomer to EU airspace etc. I'm quite familiar with USA routing structure, VFR/IFR altitudes, MEA's, MSA's etc etc. I'd prefer to do this on vatsim or something but I can start offline. I primarily want to start with general aviation, VFR would be a great place to start, but IFR is fine too. With the new Skyvector world enroute charts I feel I could do a better job than previous years... My primary questions: 1) For IFR is the routing structure similar to USA? Looks like they will start work on Shanghai as soon as FSX version of KCLT is released sometime this month. If anyone has any detailed pictures of it that is not already available on the net let them know. You get a free copy I guess. Will be nice to start seeing some Asian airports done.

Hello Everyone, a few days ago I bought the GSX Ground services (product from FSDream Team) and found the some objects do not work correctly (only happened to my with the passanger stair). I got some support from FSDT but none of their tipps helped me. I updated my video card, reset it, put the HIGHMEMFIX on the FSX.cfg, and nothing works. I have installed all the programs into a secondary pc just wanting to see how was the reaction, and I still have the same problem with the same object. Two different computers, two different graphic cards (Nvida GTX 650 Ti and the Nvidia GT540M) and same result. How can this be possible? when I turn on the Directx then I can…

I just did a clean install of FSX and everything is great except one annoying issue. When I press Shift +z to bring up FPS and/or other information, it is obscured by the menu bar. IN other words, the red text is barely visible behind the transparent menu. I have attached a screen shot below. Any tips on how to fix this?

Does anyone know of a way (other than creating batch files) to load specific DLL.XML files on FSX launch? Right now I have about a dozen DLL.XML files, configured (various modules disabled/enabled) based on the type of flying I'm going to do. Right now I just copy/paste/rename them before launch, but am looking for a cleaner solution. Was hoping for a command line switch similar to the CFG file, or a way to specify it in the FSX.CFG file, but research has yielded negative results. I'm thinking batch files might be the only way, but thought I'd ask.

Looking for staff members to help start up a virtual airline called LegionAir. Will be a commerical based VA. Very flexible more about flying than anything else. Need Hub managers for 2 hubs currently. KSLC and KPHL Also a events coordinator or manger ill let you choose the title. Hi I have recently bought the Combat Planes Amphibian Adventures mission pack for FSX and i have been have some problems with it e.g mission endings wont activate,no uninstaller. While looking for solutions to these problems i noticed that the Combat Planes website is now a casino/gambling website It is hard to believe that a couple years ago that this company worked with Aerosoft in developing the Aerosoft F-16 and Twin Otter Mission packs. So can anyone confirm is this company still running?

good afternoon, i've been searching for an easy way to setup two config files for my fsx setup, one with full realism for fixed wing ops and one with reduced realism and sensitivity for rotary wing ops. i haven't been able to find an easy way to set up multiple config files, Paul J had a tutorial under tips and tricks but that link is dead now. one additional complication for me is i don't use the fsx.exe to start fsx, i use the external fps limiter .exe to start the external limiter and that starts fsx. anyway, any ideas for how i can put together an easy setup where i can click on one icon for helo flying and click on another icon for fixed wing flying would be a…
