Can someone tell me why so many AI flightplan files have override ETAs? Some of them are ridiculous. For example, I have just seen one with a calculated flight time of 13h 50m, but the override time is 3 hours earlier! How is this going to work properly? Most of the airline flightplans that I look at in AIFP2 seem to have override ETAs (however slight), and I am curious to know why this is the case. Presumably it is an attempt to get departure times as close as possible to real world schedules, but isn't this asking for trouble? You can't get 100% accuracy with flightsim flightplans, and trying to squeeze tight schedules into a less than perfect system just seems like a g…

I was previously using Freetrack with SimConnect interface to do headtracking in FSX. I saw a couple videos on YouTube with head shaking effects and nice camera views from EZDok, so I figured I'd do the switch and give a try to this nice add-on. I installed EZDok and noticed I did not need to use SimConnect interface anymore, but I can simply use the trackIR interface from Freetrack to do head tracking through EZDok. So far so good. During a quick test flight, The headtracking stopped working. When I alt-tabbed, there was tons of windows with error message concerning an access violation in npClient.dll. I searched on forums and figure it was something buggy between Fr…

I always turn flights around, (to fly back to where i started), so is there a way (including any add-on programs) to change the flight number without re-selecting the aircraft? Because that resets everything that I had set. Or even something I can make and use with SimConnect?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi, I'm looking for a selection of aircraft which meet my standards but I have not yet found any. I'm looking for something new to replace the Carenado P46T, which is a JetProp. I'm looking for a very high detailed cockpit, nice to fly and land, and something which is very stable in the air. I don't mind Dual Prop, just anything with a really detailed V/C and amazing flying characteristics In addition, It would be nice to have something which is nice and simple to understand in terms of dials and switches in the cockpit. Thanks, Callum

The new version 1.006 is out. It's a complete installer that can be installed over the old one (1.005). If you have added new repaints to aircraft.cfg, don't forget to save the [fltsim.X] sections, otherwise they will be lost. All customers will receive an email from online stores with details about the update. New customers will download directly the new version on purchase. What has been fixed : FDE: Aircraft.cfg: updated gear positions for smoother repositions Now writing Vertical Speed to the FSX for compatibility with other 3rd party addons mjc84.ini : Power Levers set for 0 position at DISC to enable the Reverse, using F2 button SYS…

Since there has been no answer from Majestic support regarding my "downloading limit reset", I wonder how long time will it take for them to fix this? I have no experience from them in the question of support, and there is almost 3 hours since i e-mailed them to solve this problem, and still no reply. What do You think? I hoped that this would be fixed by now... whats Your experience from the Majestic support? Regards Per

Hi, After installing v1.006 on top of 1.005 I got positioning problem. Every time I start a free flight the view from VC is like I am sitting outside the aircraft. I can see aircraft/cockpit and all it's internals to the left of me but myself I'm located outside the cockpit. This is really annoying. Since then I uninstalled everything, installed 1.006 stand-alone (as first install) and problem is still there. I load any other aircraft and everything is fine. Please see attached screen shot. Please support. Thanks Regards, Janis Freibergs

Today UA Express made first Regional flight from KALB to KBTV. Ground crew opened Well Come champagne for Q400 joining to our fleet. Flight was without any incident and all systems worked well. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9910/q400kbtv.jpg :yahoo:

Ok, so that's a new word I invented there; recommendy  .... but would people recommend this add-on? ........ I got Antarctica X and have to confess that, as good as the bases were, I got bored very quickly with the vast en-route stretches between them! With Iceland being so much smaller, and with interesting terrain, this looks fun (especially for some DHC-8 flying ). Any good?

Good evening gents! First, I would personally like to thank Majestic for delivering such a pristine, and amazing aircraft. I enjoy flying it every second! With that being said, I'm sure most are aware that most ACARs systems get a positive landing rate from the Q400 due to the FDE operating outside of FSX. I know my VA actually has banned use of the aircraft until the problem is fixed since it messes up the site statistics. Flying with my VA was one of the main reasons I bought the aircraft so I was just curious if Majestic was looking into a fix or has one in progress etc. Best Regards, Darren.

So I flew twice yesterday and the aircraft seemed to function fine. My only issue was to calibrate my throttle so that the plane didn't go into thrust reverse when I pulled my Saitek X52 throttle back to about 40%. So tonite I calibrated the throttle and it functions really nice, plus the sounds match up well etc. However it appears to have caused a problem with the prop animations. I noticed doing a flight tonite my props looked OK at start up, but once I applied power they barely rotate now, even at full throttle. It literally takes a few seconds for the prop to do one revolution, plus the prop sort of skips around a little. It looks like the prop is rotating in ve…

So I haven't managed to establish where to define your required cruising alt on the FMC to get TOC info etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

As a general example, I'm flying a 737-700 with 100 passengers. By default values, Topcat says that is 20000 lbs of people and 24 lbs of extra bags in the cargo hold per person, so 2400 lbs of baggage. How much extra cargo would be typical? Do airliners generally carry the regular mail or other stuff, or is it normally just the bags? I know this is a pretty broad question, but I've been in the habit of just using some arbitrary amount, and I would rather be doing things more realistically. Any general rules that people are using that they could impart?

When trying to install the new patch (1.006) it keeps throwing the error message "EMAIL INCORRECT" at me after I enter my email and order number. Anyone aware of this problem? Downloaded it from justflight and tried several times but no luck. EDIT: Works now, somehow I entered a different email than the one from my JF account by accident.. Shouldn't the JF email be the same as the one you have to enter when installing the patch??? Max

In some of the aircraft I fly, the eyepoint in the VC is just completely off. They have you sit with your nose pressed against the panel, or too far back so you can't even see the gauges, or too low to see over the panel etc. Sometimes they even position you between the front seats rather than in the left seat... Normally when flying these planes, I start by adjusting the eyepoint (ctrl/shift enter/backspace). In order for the change to be permanent you need to edit the aircraft.cfg. This involves a *lot* of trial and error since you have to reload the plane for the change to take effect. Is there any way to print out the current eyepoint value (X, Y, Z) on-screen for…

Well Folks, 04/29/2013 I know you are probably saying that we have been a bit under the radar, but actually "the Boss - Oleksiy" has been busy working on the first patch which has been disseminated to our Beta group for testing. Once the testing proves to be successful we hope to have it released within a few days (take heed: a few days is not a specific time frame). Listed below are the items that are being tested at the moment: FDE:aircraft.cfg: updated gear positions for smoother repositions Now writing Vert Speed to FSX for addon compatibility mjc84.ini : PLs set for 0 position at DISC to enable the Reverse using F2 button SYSTEMS:Secondary bus will be pow…

I am trying to create some authentic (or as authentic as possible) checklists (for FDC), but it is rather disconcerting that the checklists I find vary hugely, depending from where they were downloaded. Can anyone advise where online I can find and download/copy up-to-date checklists for Boeing, Airbus (all a/c types) and so forth, ones which bear more than a passing resemblance to current real-world lists? Googling seems to be leading me in ever-increasing circles and the ones I have downloaded from the File Library don't seem accurate at all! The modern checklists are very short compared to those say ten years ago of course (one hears them being used in new cockpit …

Aka, Romanians on approach! Baltic Airways flies over Anacortes on the way to a fingernail-biting landing at KORS. Amazingly, there was plenty of runway left coming in on Runway 34, but the taxiing led to some wing damage (damned pine trees....).
