I can't remember if this started after any particular settings changes or add on installs, but this is driving me nuts. When taxiing to and from the runway, every so often an AI aircraft in the distance (also taxiing) will suddenly develop a large momentary cloud of smoke, almost like exaggerated landing tire smoke, which completely envelope's the aircraft. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I am using MT 5.4 by the way. Thanks, Rick.

This has been going on for a few weeks, I just haven't had the time to get around to it and it sounds like using Advanced System Care is what caused this issue to begin with. I load FSX and get a pop-up that Area 115 has not been found. I click okay and everything continues as it normally would. How can I get rid of this issue? Has anyone else dealt with this before?

I had purchased Megascenery 2.0, Texas - The entire state, just before the Q400 released, and as much fun as I was having flying around with the Feelthere ERJ's and NGX around the state, I cannot simply fly anything other than the Q400 outside of any OrbX areas and the state of Texas. Hi there, I googled around but can't find something. I want to analyze my touchdowns and landings. I know this is possible within a small degree with fspassengers but I thought I heard about another tool able to tell landing quality. But I do not find that thread where it was mentioned. Maybe someone of you know this/a tool? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I recently overclocked my i7 2600k to 4.5GHz. I also have a Nvidia GTX 570 and 8GB RAM. I am surprised at the performance I am getting in FSX (despite trying FSX cfg tweaks and the FSX Guide in this forum) which Is poor. Running the PMDG 737NGX at UK2000 Glasgow only gives me approximately 18FPS. I was hoping to maintain a steady 30FPS. Is there anything I could do to increase performance in FSX? Kriss

Hello.... My Carenado Cessna products (C152, 172) both have a common issue. I cannot adjust the attitude indicator. Is there a fix for this? Both of them have about a 10° nose up attitude while on the ground and when I am in level flight it is the same: it still shows the 10° attitude with little or no change when I adjust the attitude. In fact, when the indicator does read level, in reality my airplane is pitched 20° nose down. Please help. Kyle

Hi, I have a registered copy of FSUIPC 4.90. I fly the PMDG NGX and somewhow FSUIPC give spike input to my parking brakes. Via fsuipc i mapped a button to parking brakes. First via FS input controles and i tried via key mapping. Even if i remove all parking mappings and buttons it still puts parking off...on...off...on. Drives me nuts. I have checked all control inputs within the controller options menu within FSX: i cleared them all. Thirdparty add ons: - UTX - REX Ess + Overdrive - UT2 - 2013 - Aerosoft airports

I know this mainly seems to be the "betting on when the PMDG 777 will release" forum these days , but I wanted to mention briefly how impressed with _this_ release I am. And, you can buy it right now! Just like the Majestic Q400! It doesn't have an FMC or special super-duper G1000 gauges, nor is it the A2A Simulations P-51 Mustang (though it's amazingly damn close in quality to the latter on many fronts! Without the latter's in-depth physical and sound modeling, of course), but it is a very faithful recreation of the T-28, and is an absolute joy to fly. Is there any other way to repair FSX other than a uninstall/reinstall? My disk only presents the dreaded Uninstall option. God I hope there is a way. Jon

This kinda falls into my last question I posted about the warning sound going off when selecting the ESDG CJ1. When selecting certain aircraft at the FSX home screen, it will sound off an aural warning. Such as "too low gear" or just a warning noise. Doesn't really bother me, but I think it's leading into my previous question that the warning won't go away once the CJ1 is loaded. Just installed it. Flys fine, just the warning siren I cannot get rid of...even with the battery off. Any suggestions??

Alright guys, Maybe I've dove off the deep end. I know that there is a Dash 8 support forum, but this issue is affecting my entire sim. Basically since I installed it (this is in all aircraft) Left Stick (Lt X Axis) = Forward Movement Right Stick (Rt X Axis) = Right Movement Back (Y Axis) = Pitch Up Forward (Y Axis) = Left (X Axis) I've tried to calibrate my joystick using the game controller configuration, but it hasn't changed anything. Anyone have a link to point me in the right direction?

I am seeing this term "IQ" in discussions about tweaking to improve FSX performance. I assume it refers to a video driver or GPU value. What does it mean exactly?

I recently picked up X-Plane 10, and the feature I find most amazing has been the road traffic-- especially at night. There is something visceral about the road traffic as you come in on approach. To watch the cars driving thru an area with hills, and the glow of their lights... or to see police cars with their flashing reds and blues rushing to an emergency really brings the world to life. Sure FSX has it's auto traffic... but realistically... well it's pretty pathetic. I think if FSX got the same treatment (addon), that the immersion factor would be complete.

The one nagging issue I have with FSX is the tendency for the program to minimize itself to the desktop now and then in the middle of flying. I can get it to come back but it really doesn't want to. If that wasn't bad enough last night it happened and for the first time when it came back things were amiss. I was flying the Citation X and Auto Pilot wasn't working right and FMS wasn't working right and other assorted things were askew. I tried several other aircraft after a reboot and it was the same no matter the aircraft. Obviously the incident corrupted some FSX files. Luckily I was able to restore the computer to before the incident and everything is fine for now. …

Gentlemen, I was wondering if the talented repaint maters might consider a US Coast Guard Dash 8 Q400 Livery. I understand there is at least one such aircraft in service. Also from what I understand, the US Department of Homeland Security and US Customs are operating at least one such aircraft a piece (no markings other than the reg number - unknown). I'd love to have a plain jane livery for such flights. I know the weather engine of FSX is not great and I do not have any add-ons for weather yet but have searched YouTube for examples (REX, ASE, FEX etc) and cannot seem to find any weather engine that actually gives me a proper ceiling. If I specify in FSX an overcast ceiling at 500 ft, I should not be able to still see the ground at 600 feet, let alone at 4,000 feet!! If I want to fly IFR it should be real IFR. Is there ANY weather engine out there that actually gives me a solid overcast (8/8) ceiling at any height when I specify it, without still being able to see the ground? I've found one of the best ways to ensure smooth flight with very few stutters is to reset the priority of fsx.exe in Task Manager to High. Does anyone know how to have priority set to High all the time, so I don't have to reset it each time I start FSX?
