Just trying to find out more about FSUIPC. These posts just led me to more confusion. No big deal, as I don't tend to think about FSUIPC that much anyway, because I have no clue as to how it works. But just thought I'd share what happened just now. I opened Avsim, saw warning about FSUIPC needing updating do to former versions being compromised. Learned from forum posts that these new updates are for both freeware and payware versions of FSUIPC. Hello, I flew from EDI to MAN this night. I put the FMC to ILS23R via ROSUN1B, than I changed to the "blue needles" and put my course to 233°. The same procedure on the F/O side. I was Intercepting the ILS on 3500ft, selectet HDG, changed the NAV source to NAV1 (same on the F/O side) and the PFD says I am on ILS1 than I hit the approach button. The plane followed the ILS completly, but at 1500ft (or 1000ft - I doesn't renember) an "NO DUAL" sign occured on the PFD! HSI and AP was on both sides... What have I done wrong? The Dash 8-Q400 can do an CATII approach (?) and a CATIII approach only with HUD:

Hi Again, I haven't downloaded the SP, but I have noticed something odd that isn't mentioned in the SP. If you set the CHR to run (say, at takeoff), if you pause the sim for any reason, like to grab another beer (yes, that's legal in sim world ) the chronometer continues to run. So if I start the timer and pause the sim at 15 minutes, take a 10 minute drink and drain break, then un-pause the sim, the timer jumps to 25 minutes even though no time has elapsed past the 10 minute mark. Is this something that's being looked at? Just curious...

I'm having a problem with my PMDG 747 busting the 250kt speed restriction. The AP is reducing thrust and raising the pitch in an attempt to meet it but many times seems to bust it by a few kts before settling back to 250kts. My question for controllers is whether this is acceptable or common in the RW. Thanks!

I am running into this annoying problem. 1) When I start FSX, it just freezes... I wait for like 10-15 minutes to realize its not going any where. No error message..nothing. After spending enormous amount of time, I figured its the silly FSDT thing. So I go and download their latest software and install it. Not it all seems to work fine 2) After a week, I fly from San Diego to KPHX and when I reach Phoenix I don't see the Flight beam KPHX airport..its missing.. I check the addon manager its active and registered, What the freak Now I exit out and had to reinstall Flight beam KPHX twice to see it. 3) Now I am ;loading FSX..and its freezing.. I can't get…

Hi all, I've been flying with ORBX's SAK and have really enjoyed it, but I want some "purpose" in my flying and I'm anxious to explore the area. I noticed there are two cargo addons for fsx and I was hoping for some feedback on them and which one would be better for Alaskan bush flying.. Maybe some jet hauling later. I only have money for one of those. Both are on sale this weekend. Just flight has the BN-2 for $24.99. Aerosoft has the PMDG JS41 for $35.27. Which one do you recommend? Which one is more demanding or cause performance issues?

Hi all, I see this is a problem with quite a few users. Anyone got any solutions yet? I just cannot get my Saitek throttles to calibrate! When my Saitek throttles are at 100% (control panel value of 65280), the throttles in the airplane are at 77%. When my throttles are at 25% which is value 15104 on the control panel, the throttles in the airplane are at 0%. I have tried typing in the values I want in the control panel, and then I click 'Apply' but nothing happens. I then reload the aircraft, close the control panel but there has been no changes. Just how am I supposed to properly calibrate my Saitek Throttles? Many thanks. Richard

Ive been away for around 18 months and decided to come back to the FSX fold, I have done the DX10 tweaks and im happy with them, My question is do people still recommend bojote's tweaks? Im running a 3570K at 4.8Ghz and an overclocked GT660Ti Direct CU II.

Delete SHADER and SHADER10 folders and let rebuild, sorts the problem.

Hi all, I'm another one suffering the loss of all sound after 10-15 minutes under Windows 8. None of the suggestions I've seen - changing Windows sound settings, loading from a saved flight, not using the FS flight planner, updating DirectX (it was already up to date) etc - have worked for me. I know it's on the fix list for the Service Pack but is there anything that you've done that has worked to resolve this issue (a workaround) that I can try or is my aircraft hangared until the SP is released? Hello everyone, With the praise (rightly so) and "hype" about the Dash-8 Q400, I started wondering about FSX versions for the other regional feederliners. I had never contemplated flying anything smaller than a 737 initially, but QW's Avro and Majestic's Dash-8 (as well as suggestions made to me in my introductory thread, which I'm grateful for), have pretty much broadened my spectrum to nearly any plane other than gliders. I'm flying out on ASQ4531 IAH-MAF at 1pm CST. Who else has ever thought of setting up a laptop and joystick, flying the same exact flight plan as the flight that you're on mainly just to see if you can land about the same time? Hi all Well I finally got the sdk to work partially ,but i'm still having problems with the traffic toolbox part as I don't think it has installed ,Although the .dll file has the correct path the toolbox option does not show up in the tools option inside fsx and under the trusted section of the fsx.cfg file there are only 2 entries and not 3 any ideas how to get the toolbox added I've double checked the path in the .dll file for it and apart from the last two parts of the path to the toolkit it has the same path as the special effects which has loaded fine any ideas how I can get it loaded thanks rgds

I'v looked around for a while trying to figure out what is going on, however it seems noone or very few people are having the same issue. System Specs: i7-3770k 4.6GHz 16GB DDR3 1600MHz 2x GTX 670 in SLI 850Watt hybrid Modular PSU 120GB SSD, 3x 1TB + 1x 320GB Had loads of issues with FSX regarding FPS, it struggled to get higher than 20 and often found itself in single figures. I'v done alot of tweaking and it runs around 30FPS most of the time but no higher (Unusual for a system like this!!) But i'v noticed an issue with DX9 mode. I had installed the trial version of FSDT GSX because it works with FSDT airports. But its getting on my nerves...it doesn't do its thing quietly at the background.. it puts out this green line to wait and It takes a long time to do its thing while the screen keeps flickering while it initializes itself every time I go to one of the FSDT Airports. I want to get rid of this thing...but I don't see an install/uninstall anywhere. I looked at the exe.xml and dll.xml and can't see any GSX files Any ideas?
