I've posted in the official forum, but haven't had much luck, perhaps someone here knows how to increase the external engine volume? It is nearly silent, and like someone else said, almost as if you're wearing ear plugs. The sounds are one of the better features of this addon, and would love to resolve the external sounds issue. If anyone has managed to rectify this problem, let me know! If not, are the devs aware that there's an issue? I can't imagine it's supposed to be like this...

There seems to be a lot of nice twin engine TurboProps either available now or in the works. My problem though is that I use a stick and single throttle quadrant. I lot of the ground manuver capability seems to be related to splitting the throttles. So... I'm in the market for an addon with the most realistic FDE and engine response in a single engine GA TurboProp. Regards, Slim

For those people that have a Saitek X52 (single throttle) plus stick, I've found a way of getting the tiller axis to work (using FSUIPC): 1) Locate a spare rotary wheel (ie. not one that's already being used by the prop control). It needs to have a centred detente, so the slider won't do. 2) In the Majestic CP, set the tiller axis to "spoiler". Do this prior to starting FSX - or reload the aircraft if in FSX. 3) With a Dash8 loaded in FSX, open up FSUIPC and tick/use a "profile specific" profile - in case you use the spolier axis for regular spoilers in other aircraft. 4) Set your chosen rotary axis (or twist-grip rudder axis on the stick if you're using r…

Are you able to enter multiple waypoint altitude restrictions for VNAV to follow? I am asking because I have just completed the detailed tutorial and was able to get the first descent to 19000 to work with VNAV but when I entered the second crossing at SHAFF - 7000 ft, the VNAV did not seem to follow it. The aircraft leveled off at 19000 and stayed there even though I reset the ALT to 7000 and pressed VNAV when the second TOD was reached. I ended up just manually descending.

I have Justflight's Cessna 152 for FSX and would like to install a DME kit into the cockpit. How do I do that? I know FSD avionics does have a full radio com/nav stack which includes a DME you can download for FSX, but would it work if the aircraft does not have a DME kit already? Very open to suggestions. I want to use my Cessna 152 to practice VOR-DME instrument approaches. Apologies - meant Cessna 152 in the title. Got your attention, though!

I'm sure this chalks up to some stupid setting I've messed up somehow. I had been away from FSX for a couple months and have not changed any Opus setting that I am aware of. Opus was working well, coinciding with real world METARs previously. However, when I came back (the Majestic Dash 8 got me out of my slump), I am finding that Opus is producing a uniform and unchanging weather that does not reflect any METAR I would expect for the flight. For instance, I was flying KSTL to KORD. KSTL real world METAR was roughly wind 11008KTS A2986 (and some cloud/visibility/timestamp stuff I don't remember). My FSX weather at KSTL was 19011KTS A3038. Hi Guys, I've tried searching but my Google foo is failing me. How do I load the situation files from the advanced tut? I've copied the fssave and wx file to my FSX saved files (and tried putting the mj1/2 files there and in the scripts folder), but the saved flight just doesn't show? Anything I can try? Thanks

The real problem with FSX isn't the cloud textures, because I use AS2012 and they look quite nice. It also isn't the winds, or the percipitation, or the thunder, or the turbulance, because these all work well with default or addon weather. The real problem is the sun. The reason I say this, is because I can never feel like I'm there, at the airport when it is a sunny or overcast day. The ground always looks the same, whether it's sunny or cloudy. Think of it this way. When it is a warm, summer day with few clouds, the concrete is bright, the grass has a shine to it, and the water glitters. is it just me or is the dash 8 q400 actually increasing frame rates in fsx! with this aircraft i get better frame rates than even when using the default trike. scenery used - orbx khqm. new tech rules!

I'm posting this EZDOK question because I had better luck in this forum then I had in the EZDOK Forum Website. I'm having no trouble tweaking the individual views such as Pilot, Co-pilot, Right Wing, etc. The last thing I thought I would have trouble with is changing the view between Pilot, Instrument Panel, Co-pilot, and also the view between the cockpit and outside views. Hi, I have a problem I can't solve in spite of the few hours I already spent searching around: I am not getting the certificates after successfully completing the checkrides in fsx lessons. For example for the solo flight, I fly the traffic pattern well, land on the runway and bring the aircraft to a stop, "Rod" congratulates me and the flight comes to an end displaying the map (flight analyzer). When I click OK, nothing happens and the certificate is not showing in the rewards section. This probably won't work if you have all your PC settings at default. I thought mine were, but just checked the size of my pagefile. To my surprise, it was set for a CUSTOM size of 1024 MB, which is way too low for my 8 GB system. I changed the setting from "Custom size" to "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives". Now, it says my pagefile is set at 8192 MB. What a huge difference. I'd set my FSX up to Word Not Allowed's recommendations, but was still getting stutters, and FSX was struggling to maintain the 30 FPS locked target frame rate. I have a quick question. If I have to use my yoke for nosewheel steering on the ground at <40 knots, how do I perform my flight control check during taxi without looking like I've had too many martinis at the bar? I may have just answered my own question in my head, but I would like to see what the response is from others. Also, when using the yoke to control the tiller, do the flight control deviations show up on the PFCS? I only noticed the rudder deflection showing on the PFCS when performing checks. Since we can't see the wings from the cockpit view, it makes it hard to properly perform these necessary checks. Thanks!

I have spoken with FSDreamteam about my issue. I was at FS Dreamteam KORD and the airplanes were off position as well as the buildings would disappear. The taxi markings have somewhat translucent lines like default fsx and then the add on taxi lines, therefore the taxi lights are all off. at FlyTampa TNCM the same issues along with I have mountains running through the runway. I have the latest graphics drivers installed. They mentioned possibly mesh conflict. This is a fresh install of fsx after reformatting my comptuer. A standard 60Hz Refresh Rate monitor with VSync set to "1/2 Refresh Rate" in Nvidia Inspector and FPS Locked to 30 in FSX are pretty typical settings. What happens if you have 2 monitors with dissimilar refresh rates though? I run FSX Full Screen. I only ALT-ENT and run it in a window if I need to look something up on the net, looks at SkyVector, etc. Then I go back to Full Screen. My primary monitor is a 120Hz 1920x1080. I run a secondary monitor that I don't use to display the actual cockpit or terrain...only instrument windows such as maybe the kneeboard, or maybe move the radio stack over there...thats about it. Hello All, I have one question (so far) regarding operations in the dash that I haven't been able to locate in the manual or the advanced tutorial: How do I enter the reserves (ALTN, HOLD, EXTRA, TOTAL RES) in the FMS? After I've entered my Pax, cargo, and total fuel, I highlight the appropriate fields and enter the numbers, but as soon as I press "ENTER" on the keypad, the field blanks out. I think that's all for now. I can muddle through the T/O and cruise (of course without any sound after 15 minutes) but this A/C is definitely a shock to the system after logging so many hours in the NGX. Hi Guys your thoughts thinking you need rudder pedals to control this bird - using spoiler axis on saitek quadrant but aircraft is all over the place also on take off cant imagine landing this with the same process - you cant push forward throttle and control axis at the same time any thoughts would be appreciated.
