I feel comfortable enough to start flying online but I am having issues with my sound cutting out (as in no engine sounds etc) when trying to use Squakbox. I cant be 100% sure that its being caused by Squakbox but I have not had this issue while learning the plane in offline conditions. I've tried connecting a couple different ways from ouside of FSX as well as from the Squakbox menu from the "Alt" toolbar. In some instances I can connect to Vatsim with sound but have never gotten through pushback/taxi before I loose it again. Has anyone had success connecting to Vatsim while running Squakbox? Got any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi hope someone can help me with this as i'm now stumped I know its something i'm doing but don't know what it is. I recently purchased UT2 and on reading some of the stuff with that I decided to install the sdk kit from the acceleration pack of fsx so as far as i know I have the latest release. I installed the sdk onto my C drive using admin rights and not the default setup ie program files but straight to its own folder in the root c drive directory all is fine as far as i can tell I want to use the traffic toolbox items so when I navigate to the dll file in my users section and the fsx section I find what I need but I think the path to the tool box is wrong.Initial…

Is approach VNAV modeled in the MJC Q400? I am able to get enroute VNAV working but when activating an enabled approach (RNAV or overlay) it does not seem to give me Baro VNAV which should be in FMS database for an ''enabled'' approach. Maybe in a future update? Alex

I was trying out the Carenado 337 and had problems with losing power during climbs to 9000 feet. After some searches I discovered that the aircraft seems to suffer from the Carb Heat bug. As I a result I now press 'H' during the climbs and while the RPMs still drop somewhat, I am able to reach 11,000 feet without total power loss. That leads me to question if there is another way to select Carb Heat, other than the 'H' key. I have the Saitek TPM control and would like to assign carb heat to one of the unused switches. However, I can't find a carb_heat value in either the FSUIPC or SDK documentaion. Does this mean that carb heat can't be mapped to anything…

I downloaded a video from Youtube today: 15 Minute Flight to Ternate - Susi Air Cessna Grand Caravan .flv It shows a Susi Air Caravan 208B with a full Glass Cockpit. Is there perhaps one somewhere available for FSX?

Return To Misty Moorings (RTMM) has just released the Southern Alaska AI Shipping Project (SAKAISP) I've just installed it and visited the Valdez Marine terminal, many large supertankers underway....Impressive.

I see lots of people who have spent just an hour or 2 in the new Q400 and claim its the new standard, bar or whatever. I think its just excitement over a new release and a blinded statement. Sure it's a very nice release but I am yet to see anything that rases it above the NGX. I see things I like better in the NGX and others I like in the Q400 I guess time will tell! Just my opinion. I've got an issue with Ezdok that I'm hopping someone here can help me out with, since no one on the Ezdok Forum has come up with a solution. I downloaded ( including the 1.17 update ). When I go to the open window ( in my case the default Cessna 172 ), I click on addons ,then click Ezdok and nothing happens. I can get the Ezdok Control Panel separately , but the videos show the control panel with the cockpit view. If anyone here has had a similar problem or has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Windows 8, 64 bit , Everything is on my WD External Hard Drive. Thanks

After working my way through all the info and tutorials finally managed to work everything out except for one issue. Everytime after entering information in the fms I get the msg saying "ahrs imput fail". was wondering how to clear the msg since once after pressing the msg tab it goes away and doesn't re appear.

Hi guys , Does anyone have probelms using EZDok ? The shaking effects seems to be working fine , but when i go to the spot mode , it only shows the angle from the back of the plane , if i press shift and arrow keys , it jerks and comes back to the same back angle , it does not navigate to all sides . HELP !

I have the default scenery in FSX along with some FS Dreamteam and Flytampa add ons but I am wondering if the Photo-etched scenery is worth looking at? I would like more vivid fields and more dense scenery of houses etc. I fly in the midwest so there are plenty of fields but not much to look at. I fly in bigger cities around the country as well though. What could be some options for scenery enhancements?

I'm looking for a program which can be run on vista for free and record decent quality audio and video much like fraps. I am not bothered about any small watermarks it produces but anything with huge invasive marks is out. So what are people out there using?

Hi guys, expecially the real world Q400 ones, what is the correct landing techniquite for teh Dash? I'm always approaching at Vref+5 and pull the thrust to IDLE at approx 20ft and then try to flare with around 5-6° nose up, but I'm always experiencing some quite hard touchdownrates. Hi, first thank you for this awesome plane. i know most of the FDE-calculations are done outside of FSX, but the radios too? I use the Saitek Radio Panel (SPAD driver), very convenient when flying online and having to change frequencies quickly, and it seems to only read but not be able to change the radio frequencies - it works fine with the default planes and also addons like the NGX or AEX. Can anybody confirm this and is there a chance that the Saitek radio will be supported? thank, regards chris

I have read a forum about this product that promise a full optimization of the cores usage while running FSX, for example it says that you can configure the second core to run FSX and the first core to run add-ons and so on, so you can optimize until 12 cores!!! Sounds awesome!!! If that so, no more tweaks, a 6 core processor would be better for FSX and so and so..... Have you ever heard about it? Any experience? Hi this is for poeple who have The BBS 330 is it worth the money or should i wait for service packs or another developer?????????? Just cant decide if i should risk getting it ?and yes before anyone says i do know that Black Box Sim use to be Phoenix PSS.

Are there any tutorials on how to add paint schemes to change the daedalus colours to the correct ones I've been through the ut2 manual and it tells me nothing I've been on the avsim library and there seems very few for fsx but loads for fs9 are these fs9 files ok? Thanks
