Hi there, I am on and on to buy that plane but I got some fails the last time where the planes haven't reached my level of simulation (DC9, CS777, BAE146) and don't want to buy another one and deleting it afterwards. So I have some question, maybe the one or other can answer them? 1. Which level of simulation is this product? Is this a complex one like PMDG MD11, 737 or medium like the AXE, QW BAE or UltimateAirliners DC9 or is this low end simulation like the cls ones and justflight lite ones? 2. Is IRS simulated correctly? Is there any map shift simulated? 3. Is the hydraulics-, fuel and electric system simulated correctly? How's about air conditioning? Is…

After my i5 3570k died on me last week, I decided to spend a few extra bucks and go for the i7 3770k. Upon receiving it, I went ahead and installed it in to my system and overclocked to a stable 4.2 GHz. Before, I was running the 3570k with a GTX 560 1GB video card, which seemed to be a good balance of CPU vs. GPU, with the GPU topping out at about 30% load. I could consistently obtain a smooth 30FPS under just about any scenario. Now with the i7 installed, my GPU load quickly jumps to 80-100%, and my frames jump from 30 down to single digits and fluctuate wildly. Hi All I'm planning on picking up some of all of FTX's Brisbane/Melbourne/Canberra sceneries and was considering splurging on their entire Australia "terrain" offering. I was just wondering whether it was actually worth getting, with the upcoming FTX Global. I'm only ever likely to do IFR between Canberra/Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney, so about 99.5% of the scenery I will probably never even use. Would I be best off waiting for FTX global and having "better than default" Australia textures as part of this? Appreciate any advice. Martin

Could anyone please advise how I can assign button 1 on my Saitek yoke so that when I hold it in, I can talk to ATC using Radar Contact 4. I don't mean bring up the ATC menu and then start pressing numbers. I mean hold button 1 down and speak through headphone mike and release when finished communicating. VOX ATC, Radar Contact etc allow this type of realistic spoken ATC communication, but I cant seem to assign a button on my yoke to open the channel. Any advice from someone who has done this successfully already would be most gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation Andrew

I just noticed how blurry the distant texture are at orbx kjac the textures below my plane are clear as day but the ones maybe 20 feet ahead are so blury. For example the runway center line appears as one blob unroll you get close then it turns to 3 line like it should be.My AA settings are 8x Multi and 8x super Ive tried others but they make everything fuzzy looking is there a fix for the runway textures or is that just fsx

So I was flying from Dhaka (VGHS) to Kathmandu (VNKT). When I took off in my Airbus Extended X, it was raining. I get up to cruise, descent, begin my approach, and land. Then I taxi to the gate and shut down the plane (including turning APU and fuel pumps off.) The problem is, I have this strange water or dust flying out the back of my aircraft. This issue hasn't only happened in the AXE. It has happened in all the PMDG aircraft and the MJC Q400 when I take off from a rainy field and land somewhere else. Is there a way to step waypoint to waypoint through the flight plan and view it on the PFD? I've tried using the format button but it skips by page which makes it difficult to to view portions of the flight plan. Thanks in advance. Bob

Hi there, Is there an available Republic (United Express) livery? The one Rich recently uploaded is beautiful, but it has the "Colgan Air Inc." sticker on it as does the Majestic-included UA Express. As far as I know, Colgan is defunct and the only Q400's operated by "United" are Republic birds. Would someone be willing to do a Republic badged version? I think it's a simple matter of replacing the Colgan sticker with the Republic one. Thanks! By the way, I love the shine maps Rich!

Hi, I'm flyig the Q400 (as we speak) and I encounter a strange issue. At cruise level the (auto) TRQ setting is 68%. This appeared a bit too high because I'm at lower cruise level (FL240), so the speed reached the overspeed zone. Instead of pulling back the throttle lever a bit, I first wanted to try to use 850 RPM. When I pulled the Cond Levers one noth back to 850, the following happend: The 2nd prop suddenly has 1060 RPM and there is no way to change this anymore. (moved the CL's several times) Also I have now different TRQ modes (MCP and MCR) Anyone a clue what is going on?

Does anyone know if there is a specific tutorial or U tube video dealing with the creation of flight plans and how to activate them for use within the aircraft? Reading that sentence, it won't be a surprise that I'm still having problems that element of an otherwise terrific aircraft. I'm in pretty good shape as far as activating the systems and getting of the ground but.....that FMS is defeating me! I've done hand flying with no problems but I'd sure like to be able to fly using flight plans. Jack

I made a backup of my fsx.cfg which was based on bojote's mods and proceeded to try to re-optimize based on Word Not Allowed's guide. After going through Word Not Allowed's guide, upon startup, the aircraft selection had a white aircraft. Then, I go blocks for trees and VASI. Also, the windshield was just green and not transparent. I tried some more changes going through the guide again, then I started getting a black screen after the aircraft selection. At that point, I went back to my original config. So with bojote's config, I checked it against Word Not Allowed's guide. My buffer pool was like 865456. So, I set that to 0. I also had a second video card e…

I wanted to ask if its possible to use a FS 2004 scenery in FSX. I was thinknig about Mega Airport Rome. I know it will be released for FSX but until then I wanted to give it a go. Is it possible? Do i need to do some extra stuff to work it or just install it? Thanks

My "fleet" of aircraft is nearly complete, and all I feel like I want now (other than the PMDG 777) is a more or less realistic helicopter and who would be out there that makes a good one? I want one that is a challenge to fly.

Hi all, got a weird problem that just showed up all of a sudden. My mixture setting has been changing all by itself. This only happens in FSX. Here are a few notes: Seems to only happen to the mixture settings CH Products throttle quadrant I have run through the calibration routing several times in Win7 I played around with the sensitivity settings in FSX I unplugged the throttle and rebooted and plugged it back in just for grins (no change) Sitting at the calibration page, nothing moves by itself. Problem exists on multiple planes - This blows the engine on the JS41!! I have search here and didn't find anyone with similar problems Anyone have any ideas?…

It was working fine yesterday when I swapped the cfg file but now when I load FSX the plane jumps and keeps bouncing. I have also tried loading default planes and then loading this.

I know there's already a thread for sweetfx, but I can't seem to find an answer to my problem so indulge me for just a moment. It's simple.... I install sweetfx and fsx won't start. Something about components can't be initialized and that fsx needs to be repaired. Remove sweetfx, and fsx works. The only thing I could find was that anti-aliasing needed to be unchecked, but even that doesn't cure it. I don't have any real reason for trying sweetfx, as I have fsx set up the way I like it and everything works great. But you know how we are .... the dictum "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" just doesn't seem to apply. Anyway, any ideas? Thanks in advance John

Hi all, I've installed RXP GNS430/530 editing the cfg with these lines: http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=2897 Here it is the result: GNS530 (com1-nav1) linked to the HSI GNS430 (com2-nav2) linked to the RMI The only problem is that I can't make the NAV/GPS function to work with the GNS530. It seems linked only with the GNS430. It's a bit weird, since you use the HSI to follow a GPS track, so I expected this to be linked to the GNS530 (com1-nav1) instead of to the GNS430 (com2-nav2). Is it possible to link it to the GNS530? Hope it's clear. Regards.

Like many simmers I'm looking forward to the relese of FTX Global, which should be released within the next few weeks. In addition, I want to purchase FSGeneses Mesh, to get the best possible overall experience from this new addon. My question is... is there any compatibility issues combining a third party mesh with all the dozens of airports I have already installed from various devs, such as FSDT, FlyTampa, UK2000, Orbx, Earth Simulations, Eiresim and Aerosoft? Hi there, I was wondering if anybody would be able to help me with some UT2 updates. I've only recently learned how to install new textures onto already downloaded aircraft and I don't really know how to update liveries on Ultimate Traffic 2 (and flight plans, though I have downloaded the Winter 2012 update from the UT2 official website) I was wondering if anyone had already done all of the updates for liveries (AA, United/Continental merger, Virgin, Delta etc) with flight plans that I could maybe copy into my directory, maybe swapping the files on Dropbox and then going through it on TeamPlayer I know it doesn't involve doing all the work and it's asking a lot off som…
