Hi there, I have been uploading new flight plans for Summer 2013 from the AVSIM library with no problems but came across one today. I downloaded the new Lufthansa flight plans and they installed no problem, but when it comes to importing them and finalizing them I get the following error: If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Generally this only happens when I exit out of the flight, then start a new one without closing fsx, it had been this way for years, but about the time I was going to ask about it it stopped. My question is why does fsx do this? Does anyone else experience this?

Hi All, I'm hoping someone might be able to advise me on how best to assign different engine sounds to each engine model for an aircraft. For example, I have the Thomas Ruth A330-200 installed and there are three models - GE, PW, and RR. At present, I have Trent 700 sounds installed in the Sound folder for this aircraft. However, I would like to also have the PW4000 and GE CF6 installed so that depending on which aircraft I choose to fly, the correct engine sounds will play e.g. the Aer Lingus texture uses the GE model. Is it at all possible that this can be achieved? Many thanks, Hugh Costello

Hi, While we wait for the Aerosoft A330 (Coming 2014), is there a way of merging an existing A330 model (Preferably CLS/POSKY) into the Airbus X cockpit? It would be nice, especially since the CLS model is very outdated now and no-one has made cockpit texture enhancements, Thanks in advance.

I,m having the same problem. I had FSX on another hard drive that crashed. I have removed all files that I could find for fsx but when I try to install but it gives me a choice to repair and remove . When I remove it say invalid drive E: . I have installed new drive with that letter. When I choose repair it was sending files to C: which I don't want. I tried the link above and it runs but I still see FSX in the control panel. Any thoughts how I can re install FSX to the new drive? Thanks, Tom

So although I bought the BBS A320 and was critical of it (I also own the AXE), tonight, I could resist my desires for an A330 no more! .......... so I bought the BBS A330. Firstly, it's a lot better than I was expecting. Sure, you can find the incomplete areas, and some bugs and errors, but it is certainly very usable. Hi dear community, I have a big texture problem in FSX. Can somebody please help me to solve the issue? After installation of FTX Australia (SP4.002), a few FTX freeware airports, Orbx Libraries (130320), FTX AU Traffic (3.23), OZx (3.3), OZx Library (1.1) and Ant's Aussies Airports I wanted to try the new scenery at Adelaide. When I fly the NGX I taxi at around 50kts with my joystick throttle lever all the way back and have to ride the brakes for the whole taxi phase. Is there anything I can do about this? I only fly the NGX so I don't know if the trouble is with the joystick or whether its an NGX thing in general? Cheers!

Dear All, I have just returned to FSX world after quite a long hiatus (so long in fact that my AVSIM forum account was deleted), and have just installed FSX on a new machine. When trying out the FSX after installing, I noticed several giant needles/spikes around the airport where I was flying. I though at first that there may be errors in scenery data, but the occurance is quite persistent in other airports when I tried out the FSX. In addition to that, when I have flown for several minutes, a "wall" of single color appear from the ground and obstructed everything, until i "have flown through" that wall. Hi! I would like to buy an A320 addon for FSX. I thought Airbus X extended is the best for me, especially because there is a version with sharklets in it. Do you recommend it? And do you think there will be an update that adds sharklets to A319 and A321? Thanks

I found out that there's a section in the .FLT for a saved flight called DateTimeSeason. If you remove the section then it just uses the current configuration of your machine (current date, current time, current season). I may be the last one to know but I thought it was cool. I wonder what other little tweaks there are that make it cooler. Gregg

I wonder which mode you use while flying from a point to point. When choosing IFR and VOR-to-VOR, ATC always says different things from what I planned in my FMC. If I choose VFR, they don't assign me runway etc. Is there any fix for that or I shouldn't use ATC? Thanks

Wasn't sure in what forum I should post this question about ServInfo since it doesn't really have anything to do with FSX so please feel free to move my post to a more appropriate forum whichever that might be. Now to my question. I just remembered there's a feature in ServInfo where you can check the weather for different airports and this works pretty well but when I try to add only the airports I'm interested in using their ICAO codes and separating them using a slash as per the instructions in ServInfo the METAR and TAF Reports window in ServInfo stops responding and then my only option is to force a close of ServInfo and then start it again. I tried posting on the MS support forum but had no luck. I also posted on flightsim.com and was advised to ask here. I have run FSX (Flight Simulator X) on my old Windows 7 machine for several years but have now upgraded to a new Windows 8 PC. However, when I try installing FSX from the disk, it gets to the end of the installation, generates a 1722 error code, rolls back the installation and displays a 1603 error. I have tried this on both machines and running the installation in several compatibility modes but I keep getting the same issue. Hello there, I already posted this 'problem'(?) on the official Opus forum. I am trying to import several new MetStations using the template .txt file provided in the Opus directory. All imported stations are not available on the NOAA weather but on VATSIM, checked every station. The format in the .txt file looks like this: YLST "Leinster" S27 50.60 E120 42.20 1631 I am wondering, what exactly the format should be with respect to spaces/tabs in between the sections etc.? OpusFSX appears not to read this file and does not download the respective metar from VATSIM, which I use as secondary source in case of missing data. What else could be wrong? Any help would…

I've been wondering about this for maybe 6 or 7 years now so I have to ask because I'm a bit baffled. Why, after so many FSX years gone by, do we not have any super high quality GA jets yet? It seem that when it comes to GA single and twin props there is a relative plethora to choose from, with many being of very high caliber in quality. Yet, when it comes to really high quality GA JETS the only game in town has been the CitationX from Eaglesoft and the Cessna Mustang from Flight1, both of which are sorely in need of some modeling and systems upgrading at this point.
