I have downloaded and installed this app that has been recommended by some of you on here. However I want to make sure I'm setting this up properly and understand how it works before I screw something up. There are 2 default profiles, Vista and XP. Should I create a new one or use on of the defaults? I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. Could someone tell me exactly all the services and apps or what not that I need to add under the Services and Programs tab? In order to start this, I load up AlacrityPC each and evertime and hit START button before launching FSX? Do I have to leave this app running in the background while using FSX? Hi all, I've created and released a Captain's Voice Pack, for the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended (A320/A321). It's a British English accented captain, so a nice change from the European accented captain (aka. Mathijs Kok :smile:) that comes with the product originally. How much difference is there between normal 1024x1024 clouds and the 4096x4096 HD clouds. I recently tried several different cloud resolutions but they all look sort of the same to me. I cannot tell the difference between the 1024 and 4096 clouds at all. Even the 512 ones look similar. Im running 1920x1080 with REX. Am I doing something wrong or is there not very much diffence in the way they look in the sim. Haven't done in-depth perfomance tests but I would say they performed relatively the same so I thinking maybe I did something wrong installing the textures. Can anyone shed light on this? Cheers

I've been learning to fly the carenado PA46T, and have been enjoying it, part of that reason is, that it actually has some sort of way I can see where the trim setting is. On other aircraft, is there anything that can help me with some sort of number I can shoot for when I fly? For instance the sweet spot on the PA46T seems to be about -5.8 (not entirely sure what that means, but thats about the number on the trim setting that seems to keep the plane from going too far up or down.On the FSX aircraft that have GA trim, again my question is: How do I know what my trim is? Is it just messing with the trim while in the air till you get it? Every time?

I have no AI traffic whatseover anywhere in the world. I can see a couple of aircraft on the ground but no movement not even ATC Chatter Its really frustrating me. Hi I have FSX Acceleration on Windows 7 64 bit. I was udating Airbus Extended from V1.0 to V1.1. I had to deinstal V1.0 as recommended. V1.1 installed fine but all my Addons in the addon menu have vanished (LDS767, FSUICP, A2A Accu feel, UT2, PMDG 747X and FSLabs Concorde X). Only RAAS installed by Airbus Extneded remains. All addons are present in FSX folder but cannont be started within FSX. Where are the Addons kept in FSX?. Do I have to install all these addons again? Bill Hagag

....FSX folder. I would really like to get a SSD for my new build and and am wondering if 256GB is enough if I kept it just FSX on the SSD. So I am wondering how big people's FSX folders are? And if you could, just a brief description of the contents. Do you have a bunch of scenery, aircraft, ect ect. Thank you Adam

Hello, I've been thinking about getting this plane for the past couple weeks. I'm close to pulling the trigger but haven't really been able to find any good information on how well or "easy" I'd be able to operate the controls using just a single saitek throttle quadrant(which has only 3 axis). I've watched a lot of youtube videos and I'd really not like to have to set the throttle/props/CL with the mouse at all. So, does anyone have the Q400 with just a single throttle quadrant? If so, is it possible to not use the mouse at all for all phases(engine start, in flight, engine shutdown)?

Default altimeter should be 29.92, but it's 2991, when you press std it goes to 29.91, same with the standby instrument.

Hi, I always have this cloud problem where you see cloud far away appears to be in front of cloud that is nearer. Post here hoping to find someone who know how to solve this. I am running DX10.

Well it's probably the "robotized" electronic voice that is used for the Ground Crew ? So I have created an Irish English Ground Crew Voice Pack, called "Seamus". Seamus is a real human being; so far better as ground crew than robotized "Charles" ! :smile: I have uploaded the Replacement Ground Crew Voice Pack for the Airbus X Extended to the AVSIM File Library and it is awaiting approval. I have huge problems in the area around meditarrainen, Madeira and Canary Islands.. At Madeira(Aerosoft) all the water textures are replaced by ground textures :blink: At El Hierro(Aerosoft) the airport is lifted high above the ground, at Gibraltar(Aerosoft) the airport elavation has been lifted a notch and the scenery doesn't display correctly. I suspect it has something to do with that I installed UTX USA, Canada and Carribien, atleast the problems occured after that. Tried to disable UTX but the problem persist.... PLEASE HELP, What should I do now :cray: I'm just praying that I don't have to reinstall FSX...

All of a sudden, none of the engines on any of my planes will start...They crank, but won't actually start...I have checked everything I know to check...Calibrated my controls...All master switches are on, there's fuel in the planes, but they just won't start...Help will be appreciated...I have loaded stock flights and the engines still quit...At wit's end! Hi guys: We know we cannot undock or click on the Ecam, ND. and FD in the aerosoft A320 Extended because its not supported. The only way is take a viewpoint by pressing ( [ ) or ( ] ) and modified the view you need to open. Now, i build a home cockpit and i took the ND , FD, and the two ECAMs ( upper and lower ) to open them in my cockpit. So i take a four viewpoints. When i do that i get a drop in my frame rate. Thats confused me especially when i have a good system ( i7 2600K at 5.0 Mhz - Corsair 8GB platinum 2133Ghz - GTX680 Direct CU II TOP 1201 core clock ). Strange thing I just noticed when switching back to DX9 is that my airport buildings are completely missing at KIAH. Other airports seem to be alright though. What could be the cause of this?

I'm picking up the ILS frequency way too far away. It shouldn't be active beyond around 25 miles, but I'm 40-50 miles away, and the ILS freq is active

I've been trying out different water textures and now I would like to go back to square 1 so to say making sure everything related to water in FSX is restored to the FSX SP2 out-of-the-box state. I always keep an untouched FSX SP2 installation on my disk so I do have easy access to all files needed, just need to know their names and location. I already know the names of some of them like the oceanheight ones for the waves but want to make sure I know all of them. Anyone know if there's a list of all FSX water related files somewhere?

I have just installed FS Global 2010 and I know that its a mesh product but I still have questions about textures. I have GEX products installed for some regions but not Asia. I saw the screens of the product Lukla X which is an airport near to Mt. Everest and the mountains look great in these but mine still looks like default FSX. I wonder does this have anything with GEX Asia? I know that Lukla addon doesn't contain textures for around of it so what it makes to look the mountains so real? Opus weather has always been spot on for me, but last few days its been sketchy. Yesterday I couldnt climb past 20k because the temperature was +59! Its usually pretty darn close Today my METARs are off. Been to places with low overcast and im getting scatterd cloud at best. When its OC Opus does a great job of a thick OC. Version is 3.02.1 I know its not FSX. I loaded up another weather engine yesterday when I had the screwy temps and it popped back to normal. Perhaps the weather servers are not communicating properly? Anyone else getting this?

I attempted to update my nVidia GeForce 650 Ti card to the latest driver - this is my only graphics card. After the program I used (DriverReviver) said that the driver was updated, my FSX Settings-Display-Device showed me that I had two graphics cards installed GEFORCE 550 Ti.0 AND GEFORCE 550 Ti.1 and no reference to my installed 650 Ti card. Before the update, I had only the normal GeForce 650 Ti showing in the "device" dropdown box, nothing else. My fsx.cfg file lists only the 650 Ti exactly as it had before - the only change in the .cfg file was a re-set to 1024 textures because I had looked in the display file. Hello All --- well, after reading much and viewing much, purchased the Q400 today and loaded it up under FSX. Really am pleased with the quality and detail. First issue I noticed is that loading the Q400 model causes the FSX SPOT view mode (floating spot) to glitch and go into LOCK SPOT mode. I tried many things to try and clear the locked condition but only rebooting FSX will fix it. All other aircraft working fine in regular SPOT view. During this observation, no other add-ons were running (no weather, scenery, etc). So please add this one to the "fix it" list !!!
