I suddently realized that I don't have autogens in my Skiothos scenery... I quickly learned that I don't have autogenn in Fly tampa Grenadines and few other sceneries that edit default.xml with their own autogens. I don't know whichj add on I installed that messsed it up. Its all a mess. Any idea how I can recover from this mess? I have tried reinstalling Skiothoes but that does not fix it

Hi everyone. I just have a quick question. Last I heard FTX Global is planned to release in June and I am wondering how many of you are planning on buying this product immediately or in the future. With the 777 about to be released it will be attractive to fly to some new areas that in the past may have been lacking some proper scenery coverage. Your thoughts and opinions, Please! By the way. Hello peeps. Not the best way of making a first post, but here goes...... I'm not sure if it is just me or if anyone else is having the same problem. After having problems with fsx gold crashing when starting up, I found out that accelation was having issues with some windows update (windows 7 64bit pro). I had to uninstall acceleration, in order to find the problem. Now that I have removed the windows update that was causing the problem, I've now reinstalled acceleration. All went fine until I fire up fsx. It comes up with the acceleration activation screen, but when I send my key info to the server, I get the message saying that it cannot connect to the server. I'v…

Just curious because I plan on getting a new drive later and copy my current install of FSX witha ll the configs and addons onto the new drive. Exactly how does one accomplish this besides copying the obvious FSX install directory. I also know there are quite a few files that FSX depends on that lies outside the FSX install folder. Can someone show me the proper way to do this. Just incase I have to reinstall Windows all over again. I wanna be able to copy over my old FSX stuff and be able to load it up and have all my addons and settings.

Hi, I have a problem with aerosoft and flytampa scenery like amsterdam,frankfurt and flytampa midway.... I usually fly in my airbus x or ngx at around 30 to 35 at big airports like vienna =flytampa= i can get 20 25 fps easy but airports like frankfurt or amsterdam frames drop to 15 and amsterdam like 10 fps I have all tweaks and service packs applied I know that frankfurt is very heavy on fps but in fs9 using ifly 737 I can get 35 fps with the same scenery but in fsx its just awful, is there some way i can raise fps at aerosoft airports like maybe some sort of scenery tweak or somthing just so that i can recieve better fps at big airports made by aerosoft also madrid i…

Hello, i purchased the Airbus X Extended 3-4 days ago. The plane is great,working great and as realistic as it can be. My question is about the default ATC of FSX. As i begin an IFR flight from an airport to another (using the default FSX flight planner in "free flight", then plan my flight with the aircraft's MCDU the default ATC doesn't let me flight my scheduled plan and is making corrections to my heading and altitude, therefore my scheduled plan (with sids and stars etc) is useless. (Note that i get the flight plan that i insert in MCDU from vatroute.net.) Is there any way that the ATC will use MY flight plan? Can i insert the vatroute.net flight plan and ATC wi…

Hello everybody! First of all: I am not sure if it is ok to post this topic in the "MS FSX Forum". So if I should have posted it in another forum, please feel free to make me aware of that! So my question is, what you think of my PC (see on the LHS or below) and if my PC is good enough to play FSX without any big framerate hits. Checked SceneryTech official site moments ago, and comparison shots. I'm pleasantly surprised by the comparison, and on the frst hand it looks better visually and scenery is more detailed than UTX. But first things first, what is the difference between UX and SceneryTech? Both products are landclass addons as far as I know. Which product you prefer and why? cheers Predrag

I have the Nvidia driver 311.06, which I installed earlier this year. Things are great, but I was curious about some of the "bloat" I see on my system and wanted to trim as much unnecessary apps/services as possible. I have noticed quite a few apps associated with the Nvidia driver and wanted to run these by the experts here to see if I can get rid of any ballast to improve system performance. I don't believe I saw so many extra services with earlier driver iterations, or maybe I didn't notice, but with the emergence of higher fidelity FSX addons and my 3 year old system starting to exhibit more OOMs than I thought possible, I need to put my OS on a diet! Okay guys, this is where I need your help. There are conflicting information on here for which settings to use. For example. The official fsx guide by Paul that is very current and up to date says to set FSX AA mode to Antisoptric, while in the PMDG forum's instructions says to use Trilinear? Also the same with setting the FPS limiter. Should I set this inside FSX or use nvidia inspector? Which one is better or are they both the same? In nvidia inspector theres a section that says Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration. Should I change this to single display performance mode since I'm not using a multi-monitor setup in hopes to get better performance? I want to get …

Hello All, I am having an issue with the Majestic Q400, which is significant only during taxiing. This only started after I assigned keys to FSUIPC, but regardless when I stop taxiing I have to engage and then disengage the parking brakes to begin to taxi. Not even the normal brakes. This happens after every time I stop. This in it's own would be bearable, however when the spoilers change to flight mode this often causes the brakes to automatically apply, stopping the plane on the spot. It makes for a very strenuous taxi. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I am using the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke system and the CH Products Pro Pedals. This problem only …

Hey Gents, I have a quick question. Only recently have I noticed that I can't see the props change when I go from DISC to FLT IDLE and vice-versa. The propellers always look like they're in DISC now even though they're not obviously. Any ideas? I'm assuming a setting changed somewhere. Thanks!

Hey guys, In some add-ons that I had purchased over the years, the rudder padels would go back to their nutral position without having to press the num5 key. Is there any option to make it happen for all of my A/C's in FSX ? Thanks for your help.

Hi there! First of all, I have to say that I really love the fantastic MJC Q400. I rarely fly anything else since it is out! It is one of the most immersive aircraft addons ever released in my opinion. There is one single issue that takes away a little bit of the fun, especially over dense sceneries: On take offs or approaches and landings, I get regular stutters and wildly jumping FPS. I recognised, that every time Pro ATC/X becomes active and the ATC chatter sounds are being played back, or I am contacted by ATC, this drop in performance occurs. Then, my steady frames (externally locked at 30), can drop as low as 15-17. And, in some cases, I get really hefty stut…

I tried Google, but after scanning a couple dozen findings, I did not find what I was looking for :( Can someone point me to a specification of all entries found in the FSX.cfg file? Just wanting to educate myself a bit in what some of the more mysterious (to me) entries do....

I wanted to ask if its possible to add multiple scenery at the same time to the FSX library with tools like Scenery Config Editor. For example, MegaSceneryEarth includes lots of folders and it takes lots of time to add one by one so any easy way to do it? Thanks

Hey guys, While I wait for approval on the Majestic forums, I thought I would ask here. Last night I tried installing the awesome looking Horizon "WSU" and "ISU" liveries from the library here and they will not show up inside FSX. I have installed plenty of new textures over my time in FSX and did everything the same as I usually do: 1.) Texture folder moved to main aircraft folder with all of the other textures. 2.) aircraft.cfg file updated with the new information for the repaint I checked all the data, and it matches all of the other repaint entries (i.e. UI Manufacturer, Model etc.) and they all have different titles/variations and of course the correc…

Hi Folks, I am running now FS9 on my D drive whereas most of my programs like office etc are on C drive. Now i want to additionally install FSX. Where shall i install it on ? C or D. Ok here's my issue I run REX and all the runway markings are super bright and clean like they had just re-striped the runway about 15 min before I got there. What I'm asking is there a worn runway marking texture replacement available.

Sorry if this in the wrong section but I'm looking for the base pack for the GWAI /endevourai b787 ai aircraft and can't seem to find it anyware. I have found various repaints and been to there website but can't get the base pack. I already have the UTT 787 which is great but there are only a few scemes avail at moment and the GWAI version has a couple that I don't as yet have Any ideas were the file is located? Thanks
