Hello folks. I'm very satisfied with my purchase of the OpusFSX software, it is by far the best WX generator I've touched. However, I do most of my flights in Norway, my home country, were stratus clouds dominates the skies. Cumulus and cumulunimbus are far less common. I know other WX generators have/had options to shift the ratio towards the one or the other, but can this be easily done with Opus? I'm not entirely sure what dictates the type of cloud that will appear, neither am I fully aware how Opus will cooperate with other WX-add-ons with this capability. Hi guys, I have discussed this with daryl on the leveld forums and he hasn't been able to help me just yet but basically no matter which navigraph data i install, 1305, 1306, I get the correct runways showing up but no SIDS/STARS. This is the same when I completely reinstall and install no navigraph data. Windows 7 64bit FSX Acceleration I have no issues installing this navigraph data into the pmdg ngx, or majestic dash 8. So I believe it is down to the leveld 767 and I cannot understand why [it has worked before on this install] Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am dying to get into the air with her. Alex

I don't like having to open up my menu every time I want to see the VOX ATC menu. Is it possible to make a fast key for the panel? Or a joystick button?

I was flying this aircraft after a long time.. I am just loading this aircraft in started state and flying it..I did not go through the start procedure. But after about 280 kts into my journey everything shuts down.. I do have fuel.. so not sure why both my engine quits all of a sudden. Then I lose my electronics as well..including lights. I see this red tape all over my gauges. Any idea what I need to make sure I have turned on at the beginning of the flight?

I have just noticed that my Tower Bridge model has gone missing. I use VFR London X, but a reinstall has not returned it. Can anyone help? Does the VFR London X installation routine only adjust the position of the default model, or is it supposed to install a replacement? Consider me puzzled :huh:

Hello. I've done some searching and found the various posts about the merge/patch to get FlyTampa's KSEA to work in FSX with Orbx PNW. I'm wondering though if it is possible to get this airport working in FSX without Orbx? Has anyone tried it? If it will work, can I install it without an FS9 installation?

Hi all I cannot seem to bring the throttle to idle. It's default min position seems to be 50% power. I have calibrated both throttle units but don't seem to have a calibration issue as other aircraft have full throttle travel. Any ideas? Cheers Eric

I use GSX most of the time these days, but I do miss from AES the fact that it greets you in Spanish, French, or Italian when landing in airports in those countries. Does anyone cleverer than me know how the AES voices know which voice set to trigger? Does it read the airport AFCAD file somehow?

I would like to adjust some of the parking at Finkenwerder (Hamburg ) what is the easiest way to find it in the fsx scenery directory?

Not sure I'm landing this thing right. The rear wheels touch down normal but the plane ends up gliding nose up WAY down the runway and this is with brakes applied and full elevator down (to help push the nose down). I'm not sure when I'm allowed or should apply the reversers. I assume right when the nose just touches down I apply full reversers? But unless I land just right, that causes me to near miss the last runway turnoff cause of the nose floating off the pavement most of the way. Is there a trick I'm missing. My autothrottle landing speed is around 158knots btw.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good scenery for Toulouse and Hamburg (Finkenwerder) that fairly up to date and has the Airbus factories and stands in it. Preferably free but if its good then don't mind paying Thanks

This amazing program changed everything in FSX! Simply awesome! Thank you!!! I notice that every once in a while (could be updates), all of a sudden the aircraft yaws due to severe "shift" and clouds pop in and out with a complete and sudden change of cloud/weather configuration (I use FEX). I thought I setup as per manual and forums. Any obvious suggestions? Thanks! FSX W7x64, i7 2600, GTX680 etc...

Hey fellows, I see some people still talking about the night texture at FSX, I myself tried the mogwaisoft for fsx, but still the night texture isn't as dark as it needs to be, you can see clouds very white etc etc... does anyone manage to get the night effect as it should? thanks in advance, cheers.

This is what I have now: ASRock M3A770DE AMD Athlon II X4 640 (4x3 GHz) 8GB DDR3 RAM NVidia Geforce GTS 450 (1 GB memory) 1 TB WD HDD 7.200 rpm Win7 64bit Had some problems with OOM's which I can handle a bit better now, but I think in a complex aircraft over complex scenery the CPU clearly sets the limits now. That's why I want to buy a new CPU soon. I know "the standard PC simmer" has got an Intel i5 or i7 (or at least the cheaper i3) well overclocked as AMD processors seem not to be so powerful with FSX and NVidia graphic Cards (t…

FSX is a winter simulator no doubt . Having these overclocked CPU´s making the default temperature steady at 40-42c at summer and 25-29c at winter does something to performance so i was thinking, Who has invented a cooling device for the air intake to our PC´s ? We need airconditioning so why not give it to our PC`s as well :-) Michael Moe

What important airports do you think are missing a good payware representation in FSX? Obviously important is pretty subjective but for me I'm surprised that there is no payware available for places like Doha & Istanbul that are well positioned to serve in the European/Asian/Gulf markets. Also Moscow Domodedovo would be good

While FSX is my primary sim, I've been toying with Google Earth FS to explore the real world scenery. It's flat without having autogen, but otherwise it's very good. I guess Megascenery Earth is similar although I don't own any of their products. Any opinions about if one looks better than the other? I read that the zoom should be set at .40 for MSE which has discouraged me from buying thus far.

In my ATI Catalyst Control Centre software, I use the following settings:- AntiAliasing: Override Application Settings Samples: 4xEQ AAMethod: Supersampling .......now, forgetting ENB / SweetFX for a moment, when I am running without these, the above settings give me a stunning level of AA; everything is smooth, no jaggies, and no shimmering at all in FSX. :smile: However, as soon as I use either ENB or SweetFX although I get all of the other lovely effects, my AA always degrades.... there is stil…

The first time i noticed this probelm, is when i installed the trial of KPHX HD by flightbeam. I have sence uninstalled it. the ATC textt is un-readable, and the menu text is grey (but still clickable)

With the recent update I've decided to finally bite the bullet and address getting turbulence working. To do that, I know I have to configure a camera view, but here's the rub for me... I've set up my yoke to allow easy control of both zoom and eye point in the 3D cockpit, I'm used to this structure and I like it, so all I really want to do is set up a basic pilot's position view and be able to use my controls to make minor shifts in zoom and eye point as needed while flying.
