Hi all, I was wondering if you should deselect every item in your Scenery library if you're not planning to fly there. My FSX start-up time is pretty long, so i guess disabling/deleting a few items could shorten that. But since i sometimes fly in Europe and sometimes in USA and several ORBX areas around the world, that would mean a lot of work. Now i only pay attention to the sequence/order of items. Does FSX performance (loading time wise AND framerate/FPS whilst in-flight) suffer from a long scenery library, or does FSX only load the scenery for the region you fly in, and then in-flight dynamicly load scenery as to where you are heading/flying? Just curious!…

I've got a bunch of scenery and want to know which is currently in FSX or not.

I recently ran into an issue while flying the Leonardo Maddog (2010) at night. When I switch from the 2D panel (F10) to the VC (F9), most of the instrument gauges turn white after only a few seconds. Attached are the before and after pictures of the VC. I'm running FSX w/Accel, FS2Crew, EZdok, TrackIR v5 and Active Sky 2012. I don't think ithe add-ons are the cause as I tried a night flight with the Maddog without any of the listed add-ons and had the same "white-out" problem. Perhaps it's a behind-the-scenes add-on such as my "AddOn Converter X" by FlightSimTools.com. Any suggestions of what's causing this and how to fix? Thanks.

I have neglected to buy and install acceleration for MS FSX. I have the standard version with sp2. I assume that I can install acceleration? I have many many add ons and a custom tweaked CFG file like most people do. Would installing acceleration overwrite these tweaks or effect any of my add ons?

Don't know if this forum is the proper place to ask this question, but thought I'd try. Looks like the stock definition for Sacramento KSMF is wrong in FSX. Looking at the design using Airport Design Editor, I notice that the runway headings are wrong. For instance, Runway 16R has a heading of 180 degrees instead of 164. The other runways are also mis-aligned. Can anyone point me to a correct definition for KSMF? Thanks in advance, Jim Driskell

Can Somebody Please Help Me, I Want To Play Air Hauler But When I Start It And Create A Comany And Pilot I Want To Do Jobs But There Arn't Any Jobs On The Job Board, Then It Asks Me To Import Scenery But It Gives An Eror, Please Help Me!!!

Anyone any idea how to fix this? It doesn't happen every time, so it's hard to know what might be wrong. I downloaded an aircraft for FSX GA flying (about all I do in FSX) from AVSIM - a Mooney Acclaim (a tweaked Mooney Bravo) - and it is nice pretty to fly, apart from one oddity: every so often, when I set the heading bug to fly in a certain direction and engage AP, the plane flies off in the opposite direction. The attached screenshot shows what I mean: I have set up to fly due north, but both the inset from my Plan-G map and the onscreen data shows that having turned on the AP, the a/c has turned to fly south instead. Hey guys, I know this topic has been covered alot of times, but somehow I can't find the answer I am looking for. I am using an AMD Radeon HD 6800, with this settings within the ATI control center. Once I change Adaptive Multi Sampling to Supersampling, the gauge textures within the NGX Cockpit get really blurry which you can't really see on the screenshot... How can I change this? Any help given is really appericated.

Hi So I recently got the Coolsky DC-9. Really enjoying it- some engine start problems and I don't know why, only one engine starts but I'll figure it out, I don't think it's nothing I'm doing cause even the tutorial doesn't work, any thoughts on that? Anyway the real reason I'm here, the cockpit textures at McPhat look nice and while I don't agree that they saved them and charged extra I think I should get them. Do they make a difference? Are they worth it? Lee

The problem seems to be with some of the switches and buttons. On the auto pilot , the speed set gauge does not light up. The gauge that sets the vertical climb does not light up at first , but does after a few minutes. During one flight, the vertical climb was set at 1,800, using my Ezdok Camera, I went back later and it was off. The flaps handle can only go down , not up. Some switches can only go to the left, but not back to right.Not all buttons and switches are affected. A side note, when I hover over a switch or button, the little box does not appear showing me what it is. This could be something with PMDG, not sure. I know how to work the courser and have tried…

Hi all, Until today, Opus has reached all expectations and more. However, today the local weather report stated 'No weather report available'. and no weather was being downloaded so, I did wonder if there is a glitch in the weather loading at the Opus end of things or if anybody else has encountered this problem. I tried two locations, Duxford and Groningen, but no success I'm afraid. I downloaded the latest beta today and all was in order other than the weather download again. Any clues Stephen? Hello everyone, I know you guys (and some girls) probably heard this question or plead for help a million times, but can anyone please help me go step by step on running Rex textures with AS2012 weather engine? I have and love both of them but like Rex texture better. In addition; REX weather engine seems to really hurt my FPS when flying. Thanks alot ~ Julian

I just purchased the PMDG 737. In the manual as part of the tweaks, they suggested that I go to C:\Users\Username\appdata\roaming\Microsoft\FSX. I tried that and couldn't find it. If I were to find it , they wanted me to enter under Graphics>HIGHMEMFIX=1 In Display> wide screen running16:9 res > WideViewAspect=True Can someone please direct me to these locations? Thanks

For as long as I have been flying FSX, whenever it rains I have never seen rain on my windscreen like I have on YouTube. you know rain droplets difting up the screen as you fly. What am i missing, is there a setting I haven't got set high enough, or is it an add on I haven't come across yet. Can anyone provide me information regarding this.Jim K, Greenville, NC

So today AirDailyX confirmed that FlyTampa is indeed working with FSDG on Copenhagen. With Toronto, Copenhagen and Sydney, there are already some great airports in production - although apparently there's four airports. FlyTampa is working on one other airport and that is all we know. So where do you think it will be? My guess is a Seattle Rebooted package, although it could be anywhere. I Installed Megascnery Texas V2..but then I had to unselect it from my scenery list and now I don't use it anymore ...the issue is loading time of FSX. It takes way too long. Instead of having FSAltitude I would like to have Megascenery V2. I can even get a 3TB HD and place as many states I want in that HD. No issue there...but the thought of infinite time to load FSX is give me second thought. How do you guys manage having an entire state or more of Megascenery V2 files?

Hello, Just installed EZCA v1.17 and successfully uploaded the Angle Of Attack's B738 EZCA camera settings as directed in their online video. If I select the various camera views in the Virtual Cockpit or Aircraft Lists within EZCA, the views cycle through exactly as per they should. I Set the keyboard shortcuts as instructed by them, with the keyboard numbers 1 - 0 assigned and showing retained under SHORTCUT Keyb, but when I press the numbers on my keyboard (which otherwise functions just fine) I don't see it cycle through the various assigned cameras. I have removed the corresponding 1 - 0 key assignments within 'Buttons and Keys' in FSX so there should not …

Hello , I was just wondering if anyone out there knows of a scenery being made for OMAA for FSX , or if there is any freeware scenery packages out there. I know of one in the library created by Richard Reed made for FS2004 but when installed in FSX it shows black texturing. Regards, Marcus

It disappoints me to see great planes that aren't considered your typical "airliner" to lack a complete full tutorial. For me, full flight PDF tutorials are like having your own personal trainer, although not nearly as great. PDF tutorials that thouroughly teach you startup to shutdown are great, because you can quickly learn the aircraft's basics and get familiar with it and once familiar, you can read the manual to find out full systems and advanced procedures. Below I'll give a list of two amazing aircraft that were never given the full PDF tutorial treatment, which is a very sad case... since such complex aircraft need a tutorial to teach you how to to properly f…
