Greetings to all, I have a question which may differ from everyone's perspetive but would like to hear your thoughts and opinion. My question is... what is a good angle to turn your left and right monitor to have a decent or a good simming experience as far as the cockpit view goes? This thought has been on my mind now for a while but could not find the sweet spot. Would appreciate your inputs if you don't mind. Thank you in advance Regards :unsure:

So I've been trying to do my own world tour flight around the world. I'm wondering if I'm trying to do too much though and thought ask for input on what others have done. I'm not trying to explore the entire planet, but definitely trying to not just tubeliner it in 3000 mile hops through major cities and countries. I'm trying to kinda hit everywhere within reason in 350-1000 miles hops with most 350-650 so I can use my QW Avro series as much as possible. Urgent assistance request please. I have been having serious BEX CTD's and reluctantly decided to uninstall everything and re-install FSX from scratch. Unfortunately, when I start FSX uninstall under Control Panel, the uninstall starts momentarily then stops then ....nothing. I have tried putting the FSX CD into the drive and the install process starts then dissapears and again nothing on screen. FSX is still there - an icon on the desktop allows me to start it (with a lot of error messages) but I cant uninstall at all. What do I do now? I have very limited PC knowledge and have read some suggestions that I should start editing registry's which fills me with horro…

Hello, all. I have recently just got back into the FS life after building a new system, purchasing all the good stuff, PMDG NGX, FSdreamteam sceneries, FlyTampa ect... Got my FSX all tweaked and its running great, no complaints other than the painstaking monotony of installing all the WOAI packs. One thing that is really annoying is just how loud the ai sound files are, they overpower my NGX while im on my takeoff roll, completely unrealistic, is there any way to get rid of the ai sound file, I wish to have no ai sound at all. I reinstall my FSX acceleration and now it ask for activation. I put my legit serial number and it is not working and there is a message to activated on line. I call and they said that FSX is too old and there is no more technical support for it or acceleration support. Can anyone help in what to do? Thanks Al

Hi folks, wonder if someone could help. I use a couple of accessories with FSX, Saitek control yoke for all my GA flights and it works fine along with engine controls and trim wheel. I also use thrustmaster warthog HOTAS for the fast jet flying. While the throttle works fine I have a major problem with the joystick. Elevator control is fine but no matter what I try to do in calibration / configuration set up I have no yaw control - I don't know what to do - anyone else had this problem and suggest a fix? Hopefully this will help with my other aircraft that have both propeller and mixture controls, but I am constantly getting a "loss of power due to improper leaning" message when I fly my Carenado C337. The easiest solution would be to press CTRL-X and let FSX resolve it, but I would really like to learn how to do it myself. Any tutorials, guidance, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ernie

Hello folks, Guys I noticed something wrong with my FSX cfg, I think it wasn't happening before.. I am noticing that my TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD automatically resets it self to 1024 where as I always set it at 4096 Same with LOD_RADIUS=4.500000 when I set it to LOD_RADIUS=6.500000 This happens after I start fsx and when i check back again both are at same default values and rest of the settings in cfg remain same what I set. I did these 2 changes to make blurries go away and it worked out/ Please help me out Thanks

Hi! Can someone help me? I got a A340 by CLS and at about 200 knots, I push my down button on my keyboard all the way back, but the plane refuses to go to the skies. It worked before but now it doesn't. I ended up crashing and ending my flight. Can someone help?

Hi all, i have this strange problem: since my new install i'm unable to get rid off the wet (and reflecting) runways. It doesn't matter to which side i move the Water Effects slider, there is no difference. I tried all graphics sliders, no solution. Has anyone encountered this problem? Is this a known bug in FSX? I searched the forums but i couldn't find anything. I even uninstalled FEX but that didn't solve the problem. Thanks in advance. My system: i5, dedicated ssd, radeon 6870, 4Gb ram. I have downloaded some aircraft definition from your website but I 'm not able to import them, the "import" option in the GUI is always greyed out. Can you please explain how I can do this ?

My Webroot scanning software is detecting and deleting the fsxserver.exe file. I had to turn off my protection to open the program. Any suggestions. Joe

I am new to Opus but I understand that updated versions are constantly being introduced which is great and I understand that to download the updated version you have to unistall the current version. Please forgive my ignorance but what do I uninstall? In my C Disc I have 2 folders for OPus Software and for Opus Fsx. Is it the Opus Fsx folder that I uninstall or do I go the Programmes and Features and just uninstall Opus Fsx for FSX. I apologise if the answer is obvious. Many thanks. Michael

I wondering what setting will give me the best picture. Do I choose bilinear, trilinear or anisotropic in FSX? Also do I check anti aliasing in the FSX menu?

I had this problem after I installed the new SAK from Orbx so I re installed FSX and now still happens about 250 ft. high off the end of runway.All I have to do is move some thing and crash.But after it comes back up every thing is ok??? on the ground at the end of the runway...could use some help.Thanks a lot....Sott

I was wondering if anyone knew of any neat Ipad apps that could interface with FSX somehow. I know there's FS Kneeboard but I'm not needing the detailed charts and stuff, I was hoping for maybe in-flight weather reports, moving map, destination weather info, all that kinda stuff. I am upgrading my ten year old PFC hardware. Will be buying a new yoke from PFC and the throttle quadrant from Jetmax. Still looking for a good MCP and possibly a radio stack. I am wanting to buy MCP hardware for use in fsx. I am looking at either the one from Jetmax (www.jetmax.ca) or the one from Go flight which is cheaper. Primary use will be with the pmdg NGX and 777. Anyone have either of these and have it working with PMDG aircraft? What is your recommendation? Ideally a USB plug and play with setup through fsuipc will be fine. Rather not have to depend on third party drivers (other than fsuipc of course). As an aside, does anyone know where to find a goo…

I have been trying to fix scenery problems when running FSX using two monitors and an important question has cropped up, so that I would like to address this question as a separate thread. I can't use Full Screen mode in FSX as this blacks out the 2nd monitor, on which I like to follow my route using Plan-G: I use FS-SIMtimizer to give the illusion of FSX running Full Screen. This means that in reality though, even though it doesn't appear so, I run FSX in Windowed Mode. This causes scenery, especially sky and clouds, but terrain too, to 'ripple' as you pan in Spot View due to Vertical Sync issues Part of the solution involves restarting Aero after FSX has started…

This can be a wishlist too. There are addons available from Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft to Warbirds simulated by developers regardless which better than what as there have been more GA's than jets lately (in real world too). To my preference, I'd like to see a refinement of Britten Norman, the existing one is very good, but a more detailed exterior model would be just great. It is simple yet robust, so I dont think deepening the sytem wise is needed (?)
