Back in the FS2002/FS2004 days MAAM did a pretty good job at replicating the DC-3. I know there are ports to bring this addon to FSX, but it's not nearly as good in FSX as it could be. My dream is to have an A2A rendition of the DC-3 and while looking into this, I noticed there is actually only one FSX native DC-3; the one from Justflight. Now the DC-3 from Justflight is not the worst airplane ever, but in my opinion it doesn't do the grand old lady of aviation any justice. The DC-3 is without a doubt one of the most (if not the most) famous proplines ever existed. Still no top quality high detail DC-3 is available for FSX. Why not? There are still lots of DC-3…

Sometimes FSX still takes my breath away. I have just finished the last of a series of "Tour" flights for my VA - a 23-flight circuit of the USA that I've been flying on and off for a few months now. Last leg tonight. Detroit to Washington. In my NGX 737-800. I'm running Radar Contact, FS2Crew and FSPAX. An uneventful enough flight - I even managed to guess the landing runway so was set up for an IAP in good time. Looks like I will finish the tour with a whimper not a bang. Hi, Is the Shader 3.0 Mod still relevant? I have an AMD Radeon HD 7850 card. It is worth trying installing the shader 3.0 mod? Will it mess with the REX Essentials plus Overdrive performance? Now here is one I have no explanation for. Some basic info. Two particular AC that I've run into this problem are the FS9 A2A B-17 and the FS9 Cal Classic DC-7B, (both with VC's) that I ported over to FSX. I set up a flight today with the B-17 and OPUS loaded in the lousy rainy weather we've had here for almost a week. Started off in the 2D panel and then switched to the VC. Raining heavily outside. Hi, To make a long story short, I have just spent weeks fixing my FSX after a hardware upgrade, first my Captain Sim aircraft wouldn't work, then the PMDG aircraft. After fixing those, my FSX quit after 30 minutes and couldnt' be reactivated. Well I muddled through all of it and seem to have fixed everything. For those interested, my FSX was it's own directory, but wouldn't reactivate until I made a new user account on my computer, then accessed FSX and it asked for the key code. The aircraft all had problems that were traced to the fsx.cfg file. For some reason, every place there was to be a number, "0,1 or 2" it had a negative sign in front of it. On some forum,…

Hey All, After having some issues with start/stop motion (FSUIPC Autosave, not affinity mask after testing that for a LONG time) I have finally gotten into the Q. I have done 3 flawless flights (minus a few CTDs that were fixed by reinsatlling and running as ADMIN) thus far and have a couple more (Horizon, PNW flying) in the itinerary. Hey there! I just trying now weeks to get the Panel from my Wilco V2 A380 working with the Project Airbus A380, but it doenst work. Everytime make the changes like in several posts written, nothing works, the displays are black and nothing works. Hey gents, Have a few questions on something that has me a little stumped. I purchased Guernsey from Earth Simulations a few months ago, and tried installing it twice. Each time I saw no autogen on the island and noticed autogen in the default FSX UK (for instance around EGKK) was missing/corrupt. I did of course ensure that FTX Central was set to default each time before install. Hi, title says it really, I don't have any mouse look or zoom function, tried pressing space bar and also shift-o but nothing. I have looked in the controls options, but cant see any keyboard assigns or descriptors for either of these. I remember I used to have it before ( this is a new install ) , any ideas please? ...sometimes I prefer to just take off and fly around locally for a bit, then head over to another air strip about 80nm away from where I began the flight. In such cases I have not been entering the airport code into Opus, but when I eventually land 80nm away I still have the same weather and surface winds I had as when I first took off. Is there someway to just takeoff and land wherever and still get the proper metars reported for the stations I end up landing at?

I just purchased a second throttle quadrant so I now have six control axis. I would like to set them up to have left engine(s), right engine(s), prop, mix, spoiler, flaps. The instructions for Saitek only show 2 or 4 engine configs. I would like to have left and right engines. Since the only quad I would fly is a 747 I don't want to waste two levers on engines that will rarely get used. Anyone figure this out?

Hi guys so i bought FSX a few days ago and i was really excited to play the game. Then i install the game and then when i started it up i typed in the serial (which was shown from my fsx box) and then i get an error. So then i clicked activate later and played a short flight but then the game shutdown without an error so i was really unhappy if anyone out there could help me i would be glad! i really want to play this game. oh and also i tried re-installing it many times but it does not work. btw i am running on windows Vista :smile: - masterrezaul123

I am using the World of AI Ultimate GA Gulfstream 4 package in FSX, and it seems to work fine. However, I have noticed a problem with the model itself. Sometimes when taxiing, the plane's main wheels spin 360 degrees on a horizontal plane....and they do it constantly. Can someone tell me if there is a fix for this?

I have the Reality XP 530 gauge and intend on purchasing the 430 unit shortly. I started having CTD issues with FSX all of sudden so I deleted the fsx.cfg file to have fsx rebuild it. I have multiple add on sceneries including GSX. FSUIPC is also installed. Typically my add on bar has about 10 options and all it shows is AI ships. My have FSDREAMTEAM KJFK and it loads up a few of the add on jetways but all the buildings are missing and I have no ai traffic. Something very large has gone wrong. I have Mytraffic X 5.4b. Am I going to have to manually uninstall all my scenery and add ons and reinstall them? I have 8 profiles in FSUIPC, hopefully I don't have to re do all those as well. Hi guys, I did a search for disabling head momentum. I followed the instructions but can't get it to work. So far I've changed all values in the cfg under [Dynamic Head Movement] to 0, and in the cameras cfg, I have Head Momentum set to No. When I taxi and make a sharp turn, the pilot's head position would still shift and remain there until I do my next turn. Anybody know how to stop this? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone tell me if it's possible to tweak GSX (eg...a cfg file somewhere?) so that the triggered boarding sounds, play longer? ........ they currently only play for about 10 seconds, but I'd like they playing for around 5 mins, while I'm doping my cockpit prep, FMC, etc. Is this possible?
