  1. Hi I raised my hopes with today's update on the PMDG777 that it might have sorted the inoperable VR mouse and/or the VR cockpit seat position (seats you facing around 30 degrees to the right). But no. I could live with the seat position, but the VR mouse is still completely inoperable since SU3. So I'm afraid that it is still unflyable for me (I only fly VR). Is everyone having the same problems or - more to the point - anyone NOT having these issues?

  2. I'm just getting into using VR in MSFS 2020 with a Quest 3 headset, and one of the first things I noticed is that the mouse cursor is configured to be accurate to the left eye, not the right (and most people are right eye dominant.) In other words, I have to close my right eye while interacting with cockpit elements or the cursor will appear offset to the right a good bit. Is there a way to fix this? Secondly, sometimes I get stuck in this "mode" of interaction where the "cursor" becomes the center of wherever I'm looking with the headset, and then the A button on my gamepad "clicks" wherever it currently is. How do I turn that off? Googling this led me to a setting …

In my experience, fps gains in SU4 Beta is good in 2D. But is really great in VR because that's where every little bit helps and is needed. VRFlightSimGuy looks impressed! Oh wait, that's always true in every video...

Have you ever encountered this problem in your game? It's been several months since I last used my Crystal Light. Thank you for your help. link to my youtube video

  5. I an using a Quest 3 and have some problems with pilots seat position at the cockpit view.- At GA aircraft the cockpit looks OK, but at airliners as the B737 or B777 the pilots seat looks extremely close to the panel. I had already mapped both up/down and zoom in/out pilot views to buttons at my CH Throttle Quadrant which works OK at normal mode, but at VR mode only up/down position works, so I cannot find a way to have a normal pilot position.- I noticed that the at VR mode, the cockpit view depends on some way to the last view present before switching to VR, so I tried with a zoomed out pilot view but no way.- Another issue is that sometimes within VR mode the cockpit …

  6. HP G2 SU4 Beta (1.6.13.0) Win11 23H2 SteamVR or WMR or OASIS VR driver The HP G2 goggles work very well in 2020 and have been using them for several years. In 2024 when I CTRL+Tab I hear the chime indicating I've switched to VR, the desktop screen goes black, sound comes from the G2 speakers, and I all see in the G2 is a soft uniform gray screen. The desktop screen never shows the 3D - pair of screens I see in FS2020. After a few seconds, the chime sounds again and the desktop screen again shows a 2D image. But input is still directed to the VR screen. I need to use Win+Y to move back to the 2D screen on the desktop. The focus for the mouse…

  7. Hi In the month or so before MSFS2024 SU3 was released, I had been using the Fenix A320 quite a lot and was getting great results in VR. However, when SU3 was released I found myself in the middle of a stutter-fest. I tried all of the normal stuff but with no luck and, as I wanted to carry on with the Fenix, switched across to MSFS2020 - where it was a delight. I have now tried again (Fenix have done a couple of updates) and no better - it really isn't usable at all in VR in MS24 for me. Major stutters every couple of seconds inside the cockpit and outside. None of the 'usual' lowering of setting levels in either Pimax Play or in the sim graphics settings ma…

I am using the latest FENIX Update and get constant CTD after round about several minutes during Taxi or short before Take OFF Only in VR Using OPENXRToolKit VArjo Aero (Latest) Nvidia Latest Drivers I already installed FENIX from scratch, meaning deleted it with REVO Uninstaller and wiped every single "Folder" after uninstalling so nothing was left over. Using GSX Pro without Passengers seated (ticked and unticked it as well in GSX APP Config) Has anyone any ideas or same issues? I am on 9900X3D CPU 5090 RTX (but had it with 4090 RTX as well Latest windows updates Latest dot NET and also repaired it as well Here is my CrashLog Reg…

Well this is getting annoying now.. After a big update top my 5090, upon entering MSFS2024 and then trying to go into VR mode i heard an audible 'click' and the screen went black... no connection with the old 10500 error code.. Tried changing USB3 ports, DP Ports, checking power supply etc but no juice is getting to the headset now..as in no blue light showing... Ive done the cleaning out and reinstalling of the PP software but to no avail... I have a horrid suspicion this is a physical problem and my warranty ran out a week ago grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anyone had this before? Cheers

  10. In the last 2 weeks I bit the bullet and splurged for a 5090, and that along with recent software updates (Oasis driver for WMR VR headsets, SU3, Fenix BFU2,) and my Starflyer A320 ops in Japan are buttery smooth in VR! Almost in disbelief how good my aging Reverb G2 looks to be honest...

I am making this post in the hope that it helps someone else as it did me…. I have an i9 11900k, RTX4090, and 64GB of RAM. I could not for the life of me figure out why I was having 40-45fps in all these builds but having severe stutters/jittering. Sometimes it would do this randomly or during the whole flight. I came across this thread today and this was the exact issue I’ve been having for so long in this sim. I thought it was MSFS2024 performance issues but I put 2 pieces of painters tape on the top cameras of my Crystal Light and had the smoothest flight ever this evening in SU3 Beta. Turns out this was a tracking issue with the headset all along. ht…

I wonder this actually in particular a good news for us VR people. I only use PC but I know Sony has PSVR headsets for PlyaStations, and VR in MSFS2024 hopefully could be a big attraction for PSVR market. This may finally give MS/Asobo a real incentive to prioritize VR development.

  14. Started by Fielder,

I use these CPAP flaps instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WRT4SRX. I cover the side that faces the headset with a cut and trimmed velcro pad (because the CPAP pad is sticky). CPAP flap on nose, covered with velcro pad, sticky side toward nose. The velcro fuzzy side touches the headset, not the CPAP (because the fuzzy side of velcro is not sticky and won't hurt the lenses). Way more comfortable than the rubber Pimax flap (which I removed).

  15. Started by Rob G,

Hi all. Yesterday I was watching a video from someone showing the different ways that my Quest 3 could be connected to my PC. It mentioned Steam Link, which I had never heard of before. So I decided to try it. Getting set up and connected is effortless. Not only that but I got the cleanest, clearest, sharpest image I have ever gotten in MSFS using that method. I was not expecting that result. However, once in VR, I had no mouse whatsoever. I read varying statements about ways to get the mouse to work in VR with Steam Link, but I have had no success. I don't want to try to use the Quest controllers to operate the cockpit. I tried and it was not a good e…

  16. No joke: How I have doubled my FPS in VR Hi there, first of all, I hate those snake oil tips and tricks which claim "incredible performance boosts" by doing various tweaks. But this one really worked for me... From 22 FPS to 35 FPS to 48 FPS in TAA First, I own a Pimax Crystal. This HMD has a native resolution of 5760 x 2880 - and I love it for its clarity. But even for my 7850X3d and my NVidia 4090 GPU it is extremely difficult to achieve a reasonable performance in TAA with complex addons, such as the Fenix Airbus in Frankfurt with tons of AI traffic in MSFS 2024. If not even impossible, and that's why I have recently updated my video drivers and en…

  17. Started by vonduck,

Just saw these in the notes for the beta... not sure what some of it does but good to know things aren't being shelved... Virtual Reality Added Foveated Rendering Scale to the graphics settings. Replace the full 2 eyes view on desktop monitor with a single cropped 16:9 view. Keep head pose and xr data when Quest 3 stops tracking to not break the mirror rendering. Fixed cockpit LoDs which were unaffected by VR lod factor.

  18. After I land in VR, I want to taxi to the ramp in desktop mode. Of course, I know to press CTRL+TAB to switch to desktop, but I'm talking about taking off the Quest 3, turning it off, then setting it in it's holder. Next I'd put on my TrackIR hat and taxi back... But that seems like a lot of steps and wonder how best to do this? For those in the know, how do you do this?

  19. Started by JMEppright,

I bought MSFS2024 directly from the Microsoft website. I used my usual login. When I try and purchase a plane from the marketplace, I am told I need to use the same login for the MS store as the XBOX login. I'm lost. How do I fix this?

  20. Started by Fielder,

5800X3D. 4070 (not ti, not super). Pimax Client 90Hz Upscale, Image Quality High (in other words the full headset resolution 5760 x 2880), Foveated Rendering Quadviews Ballanced. MSFS 2024: AA is DLSS, DLSS resolution Quality, Foveated Rendering OFF, MAX Frame Rate ON and set to 24 (sounds low doesn't it), Reprojection Depth, Global Rendering High End. On take off roll if I look out the left window and down at the pavement, there is no jumpiness or jerkiness but is smooth as glass. Entire flight. No pauses near airport when landing. Quality DLSS, High End Rendering at full headset resolution yields great visuals on my modest hardware. Since my headset can d…

  23. Started by Gulf76,

Looking to pick up another airliner or two, but would like to know what the performance is like in VR in MSFS 2024. Here are the planes I’m considering: Inibuilds A350 Fenix A320 Justflight RJ Professional TFDi MD-11 (dev states it’s not VR compatible but has anyone tried it?) The PMDG 777’s have great performance in VR on my system so the they might be a good reference point. I’m on SU3 Beta and use a Pimax Crystal OG with a 4090.

  24. Sorry i cant test this fellas.. my 5090 that i had for 2 weeks melted the connector so is being repaired in Aussie... sigh... Heres the notes with it... I. New Features and Improvements: -Added Ticket System in Pimax Play for an easy issue reporting and log uploads. II. Fixed Issues: Crystal Super & Crystal Light: -Improved headset tracking stability. -Improved controller tracking stability. -Fixed compatibility issues with certain games. -Fixed several known issues. III. Rollout Plan: -This version is planned to be gradually sent out to all users within the next two weeks.

  25. The title of the thread sums up my question. I have the non-Steam (MS Store) version of MSFS2024 and I run exclusively in VR with a Reverb G2 headset. I currently run under Windows 10, but would like to "upgrade" to Windows 11. Do I need to purchase the Steam version of MSFS2024 in order to take advantage of the new Oasis WMR driver (I believe the driver gets installed via Steam).
