Hey guys, been suffering with this for a while.. no matter how hard i try, i still get double arrows when trying to click on the various buttons and switches in the cockpit... Its making me feel ill (don't do motion sickness well so VR still a challenge) Ive tried adjusting the PID all the way up and down but can seem to find the point where the arrow or hand becomes one and hits the spot..usually have to close one eye to see where its really at! I know this is not right so wondering if its just me or am i missing a setting somewhere? Cheers

Hi folks. Let me start by saying my rig is in my signature. And all of my flying has been with the Beachcraft Bonanza G36. In Pimax Play, I am using 90hz, render resolution of 1.0, and half frame rate is on. In the sim I am using foveated rendering and DLSS Quality. I am not using the toolkit. I recently got a new Crystal Light. I have been watching videos and experimenting and I am finally starting to get very good VR visuals on my system. But I am observing two things that I really need guidance to figure out whether they are something I don't have proper settings to get rid of or whether other people have the same problems. 1. No matter what I do, from …

just saw the news. not good news for the Quest I guess, but I am more interested in the new Steam Frame VR anyway. 3 of Meta's own game development studios are closing and with it 1.000 of their VR game developers got fired. (Meta verse, the Facebook game studio behind the Meta Quest)

I'm considering moving into VR but am a total newbie where it is concerned. Just wondering if there is anyone in my city using VR in flight sims who would consider having a conversation. Thanks for any consideration. I'm a guy in my 70s, retired pilot, whose been simming since the 1980s and still hasn't dabbled in VR.

After recent MSFS update, every of my VR flights ended up in CTD (crash to desktop) after around 30 minutes. I have confirmed that I can fly the same flight in 2D 4K with similar or even higher settings for hours no problem. So this is specific to VR. I have rolled back NIVIDIA drivers to what MSFS recommended, cleared cache, uninstall/reinstall WMR, and testing flights in safe mode. Nothing solves the CTD, although after all these measures it appears I could fly a bit longer in VR until CTD. MSFS actually runs beautifully in VR at 35-40 fps, then all of sudden my HP G2 gets blank out, the PC freezes up for few seconds followed by a complete CTD of MSFS. My PC …

So when I installed 2024 I downloaded all the MSFS scenery packages to my community folder (a custom SSD location). Does that mean MSFS is using my local installed packages or is it still streaming those? Do I have to select something or does MSFS know to use my local scenery (we are talking the MSFS packages, no 3rd party custom scenery) rather than stream it. I take it having my scenery local will result in better load times and/or performance? Other thing I was pleasantly surprised about is I am seeing some nice looking AI aircraft all over. Is AI aircraft now included by default or is it pulling from an old MSFS 2020 install? Thanks

OK, I know its a weird title but I wasn't sure what to call it. I am not reporting any problems and solutions to any problems. I just want to tell my journey regarding virtual reality headsets; a journey far from over. When the Quest 2 came out, I thought it was so cool, I just had to have one. So I bought one. At that time I only played stand-alone games. I was not a flight simmer yet. I loved it, but of course I didn't own anything to compare it to. Move forward in time, the Quest 3 came out so I bought one of those too. I thought for me it would be the best compromise because I could still play all of my stand-alone games but it had a much better image for th…

4. 5 is new. You need the latest Nvidia video drivers. Easiest way to set is in the latest new version of DLSS swapper. Preset M is the highest performance in VR.

Slightly higher frame rates and definitely smoother. I'm pleased, but I was hoping for more.

Compared to MSFS, VR in FS24 is word not allowed. Constant lags, pauses, and momentary screen to black. Even in low density scenery. Terrible. And even on average settings, almost every startup gives the warning that the GPU resources are exceeded. My 4070 has 12GB so it shouldn't be overloaded with normal settings. Luckily I still have MSFS installed and ready, I'm only going into FS24 for testing. So much for all the reports of how good SU4 is for VR, including the VR Flightsim Guy, for me it's a disaster.

Hi everyone. Well, I got my new Crystal Light two days ago. I have been working to get everything tuned up for the best image quality and performance. I have made some small advances but I am not really doing well. I have watched quite a few You Tube videos about it but they all seem to contradict each other. Plus many of them are not in regards to the flight simulator. I have not been able to get a good image at an FPS much more than 30. Here's what I am using: 7800X3D CPU, RTX 4090 GPU, 64GB of 6000hz memory. Especially with the Pimax Play software, I have read so many different opinions on how to set the options. I have tried lots of different ways but don't …

Hi all. Well, after experiencing what positive difference a display port VR headset makes vs WiFi, even if only by having tested with a Reverb G2, I went and ordered Crystal Light. I have a 7800X3D and a 4090 with 64GB of 6000mhz memory. Not the king of the hill anymore but I think I will do okay with the headset and that system. I downloaded Pimax Play software, but of course I have no headset yet. Any suggestions or tips for setting it up would be greatly appreciated. I will list my Quest 3 for sale tomorrow with lots of extras to recoup some of the money spent on the Crystal Light. All setup advice welcome :-).

I use a HP Reverb G2 headset with Oasis driver with Win 11 25H2. After I updated my NVIDIA drivers to the latest version I always get this error message when starting Steam Vr SteamVR-error Oh No! Steam VR has encountered an unexpected problem. Restart SteamVR (422) I have tried everything conceivable. Restrt computer switching back to previous nvidia driver. Disconnecting headset. Uninstall and reinstall Steam Vr etc. Nothing helps. Does anyone else encounter this problem

I acquired a Pimax Crystal Light and I am asking if somebody can illuminate me about how the controllers are powered, It seems there is no removable battery cover, but there is an USB C port.- And of course no related instructions are available at Pimax Play.- Thanks

I decided to deactivate OXR Toolkit and was curious to see what the FPS I got. Somehow the FPS display in Dev mode no longer show up in VR. Anyone has the similar problem? It must be due to SU4, I guess. Any other ways to display fps in VR? Pimax supposedly has a tool for this but I couldn't figure it where it is and whether it works for MSFS.

Hi, I’m having an issue in MSFS 2024 when using my Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop: my VR forward/zero reference keeps drifting. As soon as I turn my head, the ‘straight ahead’ direction slides or shifts, as if the reference point isn’t locked. This only happens inside MSFS (other VR apps are fine), and I’ve already tried resetting the view in both Virtual Desktop and the sim. Has anyone encountered this and found a fix?

I have been using EFB pad in VR for approach charts in instrument flights and it works good enough. The thing is, this EFB pad would be perfect for VR flights if Asobo can just make two small improvements: 1. Allow repositioning the pad, or to pop out the EFB window to position and resize it anywhere in the cockpit, like weather window in VR. Can't see why this can't be easily implemented. - just make EFB one of those windows when you hit the Tab key? 2. Pop up a virtual keyboard when click the search box, so one can quickly search and open charts for a specific airport. Right now I'm using EFB in VR by either pre-opening the charts on 2D screen before ent…
