Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

For a while now I am rarely seeing lights from AI traffic anymore. This regardless whether the AI traffic setting is real time or offline. I am using Simple Traffic from Aerosoft as the only AI traffic related mod. Occasionally I can spot an AI plane if I get really close, but I almost can't remember the last time I was able to spot one in the distance. Just flew in to EKCH with plenty of night time traffic and not a single blinking light anywhere 😪 The same goes for contrails... in fact I have never seen any contrails in the sky in my sim. Never had this problem until now! Yesterday the electricians turned off the power while the computers were on. The screen had addon linker running at the time. Now, having restarted the PC and started up addon linker all the options boxes were empty! Managed to complete all except the Custom FS start EXE. How and where do I find the MSFS exe that works with FSUIPC and fast launch, without the videos at the beginning, as this is how I had it before? Thanks Martin

I am contemplating adding in a Tobbi Eye Tracker 5, this for use solely with MSFS 2020. A couple of questions re; any potential downsides... (1). (Performance Impacts): Does using Tobbi 5 negatively impact on performance, such as: fps; resolution; and/or cpu and gpu loads? Anything thing else? And; (2). (49" Curved monitor compatibility): I am using a 49" Samsung Odyssey g9, which has a R1000 curve. Is Tobbi fully compatible with: this size of monitor; curved monitors, specifically those with such a significant degree of curvature? Are there any other negative impacts I should be considering? Hi. For some days I have been trying to identify a sound I hear only during descent on both the 787 and the 747. Don’t recall it in the 737 or a320, just the big Boeings. The sound is a four “deong,deong,deong,deong” sound about 1/4 second apart, so quite quick. Seems to happen most during flight phase changes like flaps. My first guess is trim wheel sound, but I don’t know. Anyone else? Thanks, -B

Hi, so I’ve had msfs2020 for a while and so far it was very good👍🏼. While landing tho, I noticed that even if the reverse thrust is at maximum power, it doesn’t slow the aircraft too much. I mean if I activate the spoilers and the reverse thrust at maximum and don’t use the normal brakes, the plane goes off the runway, which I know it’s not realistic at all. The only way for me to prevent that is by using the regular brakes with reverse and spoilers. Do you know if it is a glitch, or can I fix this somehow?

Surprised nobody has mentioned this already. Where is the MSFS exe for the sim? I know that it is in the start menu, but where is it in the files? I know where my directory for MSFS is in my store version, but where in the directory? Gnacino

I have no idea what is going on here. I've made 3 attempts to fly the Fenix from KTPA (inibuilds) to KCLT (FSDT) in the past 2 days, and all 3 times the airplane became partially unresponsive at the same exact point in the flight. I'm using the Fenix American Airlines livery N118US flying the route KTPA BAYPO1 CAMJO TWINS PONZE BANKR3 KCLT (today, it was AA flight 2386). For two of the flights, I had a runway 01R departure, and the third was a runway 01L departure. Everything worked exactly as it should on all 3 flights until I was just about to pass ECAKE, which is the 3rd waypoint in the SID. To keep my sanity while working on a payware project I put together a quick freeware project for MSFS with the help of John Young from MAIW and Andy Carroll (AIG). I see there’s a bit of a debate in the latest Fenix thread discussing the accuracy of the flight model. It got me wondering… what airline is considered the most accurate in terms of how it takes off, flies, flares, and lands? Of course I think the consideration has to come from real world pilots. Or are they all hampered by the MSFS engine? ps. I'm seriously thinking of investing in one and would like to have some insights into this before I do that. I don't want to start a war! 😇

As the title says, I decided to take off from Tampa and fly around Idalia a little and then head for Fort Myers. Not one bolt of lightning to be seen. It's certainly not the biggest of issues to deal with, but I do find it a little silly that there's no lightning in such a huge weather event. Here's to hoping that they're working on a new robust weather engine for 2024.

Almost 6 months again i bought and installed aviacdu and aviaoverhead at my destkop pc. and now i am planning to install aviacdu and aviaoverhead newly into my another pc for msfs2020. so, In this case, do i have to buy aviacdu and aviaoverhead again or can i just download it with the previous data? please let me know.

Hey everybody, I have a problem with the otherwise fantastic Manchester Airport by Macco Simulations. There are a lot of cars parked all over some gates at the western apron (pls see pictures...) Is anyone else seeing this too? - and, if so, is there a known fix to this? Is it possible the KDFW scenery got broke on that small update a few days ago. The runway markings are all blurry and the terrain is not even across areas on the runway. will actually damage the gear if you go fast enough. Checked against other major airports and the issue does not exit. No aftermarket DFW scenery is installed. Thanks for any replies in advance.

Departed KSRQ at 3500 ft in the steam gauge King Air 30 min ago. Heading approx 250. Am in or close to the eye. Lightning is spectacular and just like you would expect it be. WX RADAR looks convincing if not real Don’t take my word for it. Get flying and see for yourselves. The Sky Awaits! -B

Hello all, Moderators, may I start by saying that if this is in the wrong forum then please move. I am here because I have what I believe is an Xbox problem which is related to MSFS2020. OK, since the last update, I am finding that if I create, fly, finish a flight and quit to desktop, then wish to start a new flight I have to sign out of Xbox, turn off or restart my computer, sign in to Xbox and then start MSFS. This is now a constant which I find extremely annoying particularly because I do not own an Xbox nor do I have any desire to own or use Xbox but is now a process I have to undergo just to use MSFS.
