Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Ok so I’m really struggling to keep aligned down the the runway on take off. I’m not convinced it’s wind related either. After 100 knots I’m fighting like mad to keep it straight. I’m using the FBW mod so not sure if it’s the latest patch that has made this worse? Does anyone have any advice?

I decided to attempt to fly from London Gatwick to Alicante Spain and selected the airports in the MSFS planner selecting GPS. Gatwick opened up as my departure and checking my flight plan, LEAL (Alicante) showed as my destination. The arrow pointer on the Garmin however was pointing NORTH when of course it should have been roughly south. Sure enough, when I got airborne and started up autopilot, it headed me north. I restarted and reset the flight and exactly the same thing happened so I am flying it on autopilot but using the manual heading instead. Does anybody have any idea if it is a bug or have I done something wrong?

hi everybody, does anybody know if there is a moving map app that works with msfs 2020? it would be so nice to know the exact places we see from the sky 🙂 i was using mostly navigraph and littlenavmap but they don't work yet with msfs 2020. thank you

Reported that EGGD was suddenly performing really badly. Gary within 3 days releases V1.06 and all is perfect again. Top Guy.

It looks like they are beginning to implement more MCDU features. I got the latest dev release and now there are new pages in the MCDU. It looks like they are working on ATSU and you now have the ability to get weather reports via company msg in the MCDU. I'm on a flight right now and it seems to be accurate. There are a bunch of new options in the MCDU Menu area as well. I haven't check to see if it is functional at the moment but it looks like cool things to come!

Title says it all...can't seam to find anything related to the A32NX and the newest MSFS update. I downloaded it just yesterday and MSFS did not load it.

I really miss the fleet of realistic A/C available for FSX! I am using FS2020 via the GamePass and I am thinking of pulling the plug until more realistic third party A/C are available. See you in six months! Thanks!

According to Carenado (via Twitter) Two tweets from November 12-2020 Friends, after the last Microsoft Flight Simulator update (1.10.11) all of the issues reported for our CT182T Skylane in the previous version (1.10.8) were reverted and everything is working fine now. Different situation with our M20R Ovation on which most of issues are working fine now, but there are still some which need a fix. We are working on them and expect to send a new package to Microsoft in the next days. Please be patient.

Hi all, I am trying to work out the intricacies of flying with a variable pitch propeller, and found this youtube video very helpful. There might be fellow simmers who are, just like me, unsure of how to properly operate the infamous blue prop lever, and how an airplane with a constant speed propeller works. Hey Guys, Has anyone been able to get Cat 3 Autoland working with A320 or A320nx ? I got it working once but never since - have tried to set everything up idential with Pilot and Co-Pilot (in the pic I forget to enable LS button but also since tried this). Been told it's support to work in the A320nx but still cannot figure it out. Any help appreciated !!!!

Under Camera settings the description says " Debug True Cockpit " I kinda want to turn it on just to see what it does but then again I am afraid.. Anyone know what this is ?

After patch 1.10.11.0 my LOD performance has gone to ****. If I set either terrain or object LOD higher than 50 I get constant stutters - I believe this is related to the loading of the scenery. Before the patch I was running both at 200 - sim was smooth as. I've looked around the forums and unless I've missed it I can't see anyone with similar issues. (ok seems to be a few now) Submitted a zendesk ticket.

In the past you could find thousands of mods and other freeware in one place. Now there are (will be) thousands of "libraries" each with one mod. Keeping up with the modest number of mods that are available now is getting difficult, but imagine what it will be like in a year or two. We search through forum pages to find threads with dozens of pages trying to figure out which mod works with which update, what/where the latest version is, and which person/group mod are we talking about here?... I'm kind of surprised how poor the satellite data is in many areas of the US compared to some other parts of the world I have flown in. I flew from one end of South Korea to the other and it all looked really nice. Japan is really amazing looking now and I'm hoping that the US update looks as good, but the US is a lot bigger so there might still be large areas with poor coverage. This is what I see in big areas of Virginia, green roads and snow.

I ended up recently reinstalling right after the latest update and now I cant get the same cockpit camera angles I had saved before reinstalling.. I cant zoom as far back as I used to be able too. I ve played witht eh ZOOM slider in the main camera menu and no joy. Is it just me ?

I downloaded some 747 mod sounds and dont like them and i want to go back to the default 747 sounds. However, stupidly, I didnt back up the default 747-8 sounds when I changed to the downloaded sounds. Can someone please give me the default 747-8 sounds AND the layout.json file too? In a .rar or or .zip or something? Id really appreciate it! Thank you.

After the 1.10.11.0 update my game doesn't start anymore. I have a blackscreen with a loading symbol at the bottom right corner for a few seconds after I launch the game.
