Dave, Could you plug in this flight plan,AKUNA6 MLC DCT SGF J105 WELTS TRTLL4, at FL410 and see what TOD you get? I did it with the latest version and got a TOD of 217nm. That seems like an awful long way out even at that cruise altitude. If I change the rate of descent from 1700fpm to 2000fpm it changes the TOD to 214nm. Maybe it's something I'm doing or maybe I'm wrong about what the distance should be. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave, After installing 2.2.0.4. I have the following issue. In the config pop-up window the tabs have moved a few inches down. As the window is fixed in size not all information is visible anymore. Is it correct that in the speech assistant there is no text to select for 'enroute descent'? I'm using the latest beta. I was just doing an IFR flight from EGLL-EIDW. It was going very well. I had been given my STAR and assigned runway. I was handed off to the next controller. I dialed in the wrong frequency and when I attempted to contact center I received an unhandled exception warning. I was no longer able to contact ATC beit center, approach, or tower. I was being given traffic advisories though.

Not sure if it's something with P2A or the addon aiport I got from Drzewiecki Design - EPWA. Looking at some charts online and the charts provided as part of the addon, the taxi instructions for RWY11 seem incorrect or out of date. Starting from one of the gates I received the instructions: Mike One, Zero Two, Alpha Three, Delta Two, Delta One, This is good as far as A3 or perhaps even D2, however there is no D1 as far as I can tell. Following A3 it should be S3, D2, D3, D4, C1. Was just flying EPWA - EPWR and after calling in on the next freq I received an Unhandled exception. Something similar happened last night, when I had the co-pilot option doing the radios for me, but unsure if it was something isolated, I thought I'd try again today. No idea if it's route related. I have not tried ticking the boxes for the copilot options ie responds to radio and changes frequencies, for some time but I thought I would give them a try today, but unfortunately putting ticks in both boxes had no effect. I am sure they did before! Or is it me doing something wrong again?

But in the newest version I never got assigned a STAR prior to reaching the TOD or to descent once on top of it for that matter. When I was 15NM from the destination airport I was still getting assigned to center frequency.

Dave, Flying from KLAS to KSFO today - P2A initially auto-picked the 28L DYAMD3 STAR. On initial flight plan I made sure everything matched up for SID/STAR waypoints in the NGX to ensure no issues and away I went. P2A advised of approach, which happened to be different now due to weather, ect. I wanted to change the approach listed in P2A so I can verify waypoints and such with the new approach in the NGX FMC. Hi! I just discovered this program for xplane so i downloaded the trial version to test but I have a problem. I open as administrator and once I click continue to trial the current windows closes and nothing happens. I don't have any icon on menu bar. I'm on windows 10 64 bits. I tested as compatibility mode too.

So I had a crash on approach in to KLAS this morning. ...I was doing this bad habit thing I have where when I start my descent I pretty much forget about ATC and focus on my landing flows and charts. I realized at the last minute I wasnt handed off to the tower so I tried contacting ATC to let them know where I was to see if theyd hand me off. Tried a flight today from EDDL-EGLL using the latest version. When setting up for the flight I used a ground speed of 400KTS and a rate of descent of 1700FPM. P2A calculated a TOD of 78 miles which is too close for an altitude of FL360. I tried changing the rate of descent to something less to move the TOD but it remained at 78 miles. When I reached the point where the MCDU had calculated the TOD I just requested a lower altitude and proceeded on. I was eventually assigned a Star along with a landing runway. At a point where I was passed from one controller to the next I experienced an unhandled exception and was unable to make contact again.

In this last version 2.1.0.2 X-Plane 11 I'm no longer able to obtain reply from the Approach after my request of VFR pattern entry. I tried a lot of times and to a lot of approaches, but I always get the unhandled exception message. This happened after a VFR planned and approved flight as well as after a close attempt to a direct approach after a VFR non followed flight.

I usually plan my flights with the p2a UI and choose the approach from the appr option button on that screen. I normally just take the default approach offered and the flight proceeds normally. Today I thought I would click on the appr button and choose a different approach to a different runway. No problem, the plan was written, validated and filed as usual and I flew the course of the written plan aiming for my chosen runway. However nearing the destination I was given vectors to the runway that I was offered originally when I had pressed the "appr" button and not the one I had planned to use. So I've started to notice a crash lately in 2.1.0.1 when being advised of the approach route. Crash information is below. After I set up 4 voice packs I've bought the P2A freezes when I press on connect. It gets to the point where it says Simulator Connected, but afterward, it just freezes. EDIT There is a bug where if you test the voices in the config menu the P2A will freeze and still run in the background making further connections to the sim impossible if not closed trough Windows Task Manager.

Hi .. attempted an IFR flight out of KSJC, destination KSAC. Was parked on the south end of the field, told to taxi to 30R via Whiskey, hold short at 30R. Wasn't given any instruction to hold at 30L so I crossed 30L and held at 30R. Ground didn't tell me to contact tower, so I told ground I was holding short 30R, at which point they told me to contact tower. I switched to tower frequency and told them I was holding short 30R, ready for departure. I was then told to contact ground for taxi instructions. This happened twice. The first time I was able to get past it by letting ground give me taxi instructions again, and was able to fly the flight plan. Tried …

New user here. So far very impressed. Playing around with the chatter files and have a few suggestions for future. Seems like we have to choose between Country Folders or Airport Folders. If I choose Airport Folders then I only get chatter at the handful of airports that I have files for and no chatter at all for the other airports even if I have chatter files in the Country folders. If I choose Country Folders, then I only get the generic Country chatter, even if airport has airport-specific chatter files. Shouldn't these two options be combined? If a specific airport has chatter files then P2ATC should use them. If the airport doesn't have chatter files, then t…

Hi Dave, Probably not a bug but then a request. I have voices assigned to some of my frequencies in the Voices-tab. I can change them but is there a way of removing the assignement? When the copilot changes frequency and tries to establish contact with the ATC it can happen that the ATC will not respond back causing you to lose contact with the ATC if you're not around.

With the upgrade to version 2.1.0.1, the radio background sounds are almost inaudible. No matter what % volume I set, I can barely hear the background chatter. I've checked the Config settings for Sounds, and everything is fine. I can faintly hear the chatter, but the volume cannot be raised. I've even set the % volume to 100%, and it is still not audible. The ATC Audio Files for Ground, Departure, ATC, Approach, etc., are all fine, but it is just the Radio Background Sound that is not working. Any advice?

I've done 3 flights with the latest 2.1.0.1 with difrent flight plans version and every time I received a SID with vectoring to final. Is this a bug? Example: ~Expect the GOLDN 6 arrival for the ILS approach to runway One Nine Left with vectors to final Cleared direct RED BLUFF Delta One One Five HEAVY

Taking off from KDCU. I get clearance delivery on 120.80. Sayit does not repeat back clearance as in previous version. Readback acccepted when I speak it. Upon reaching active runway(18) I use Sayit to call for IFR Release. Sayit works, however I get no response from P2A. Gave up closed P2A and flew without it, Is it me Or P2A?? I lied.
