P2ATC 3.0 RC2--starts descent FAR too early, other issues

Two flights in a row since updating to RC2, P2ATC3 is computing the TOD and starting my descent far too early--over 200nm from destination. With an anemic 1000 fpm descent, it still had me down at 3000 ft rooting around in the weeds 50nm away. The flight is a SID to an approach without a STAR.

Also getting a large number of radio calls with the early syllables/words truncated off and ATC repeating things as if it does not understand the copilot transmissions (sent from SayIt/text menu). Also getting audio transmissions overrunning each other.

When calling for engine start, the clearance is truncated every time to "ngine start approved..." without the leading "E", so it sounds like "JINE start approved"

Voice management bug

In 3.0.0.0 RC2, in settings -> voices, if I try to disable the last voice listed in the dropdown list, it does not remove the voice. Anything other than the last one listed works.

After updating to RC1 ATIS weather not giving accurate weather Temperature and Dew point and Altimeter are missing say not available

Optional runways don't import from Sim Brief

Hi there, Dave, while I wait for an hour or two to apply the patch you sent, I thought I'd hit you with another topic. Again, it could be me, not the program. It's pretty common for me to set a optional runway in sim brief, generate the fight, then import into P2A, but have P2A insist on its own runway even after the import, even though a different runway has been generated in the Sim Brief flight plan. It seems odd that P2A ignores the runway I set in simbrief. It's hard to "convince" it to take the preferred runway - doable, with the App/Dep Procedures button, but it seems like the runway should be absorbed with the rest of the Sim Brief import.

P2A is slowing dying

I'm on 0.2.9
For the last several weeks things have stopped working. First all my maps have disappeared. ALL of them! Now, PTT no longer works. I have tested my mic in Windows, Audacity, etc. and the mic works fine. In P2A, pressing PTT does nothing other than play the "PTT Pressed Tone" sound. If I use the "Speak" button to do a "Radio Check" it works fine, it's only if I use PTT that nothing happens. I don't know what to do now. Since I've never had a problem with my mic before, I never investigated if there was a way to test the mic in P2A. I don't see anything like that. How should I proceed? I've never been big on unstalling a program and re-installing. Would that help? Getting very frustrated here. Please help!

Not receiving vectors after being told to expect them

I suppose this is an old subject, and I know it's not really a bug per say or I suspect it isn't - but I set a perfectly reasonable FP to KPVD ilS rwy 23, and when ATC told me to expect ex vectors to runway 23, I got ready too leave my FMS autopilot control and start using Heading instead of the FMS to set course. I was at the assigned altitude and expecting descent instructions and vectoring, but the vectoring never came. What are the usual causes of this? Thank you so much!

Validate fails with Simbrief imported FLP

This FLP Validate fails with Alt Restrictions even with settings set to ignore Altitudes. All of them. Strange is that it is after the SID. Restrictions must have been added by P2A

Hi Dave,

I did a flight HECA to EINN everything was ok but in the end at contacting Tower EINN there was no "established" in the dropdown menu at the Tower frequency, so I could no end the flight in a proper way.

Just curious if anyone besides me is having trouble with PTT voice. I think a Windows 11 update has made mine quit working as I don't get anything when I press PTT and say "Radio Check." Before, when it worked, I could say that and my "Speech Recognized Tone" wav file would play indicating that P2A understood my speech. Now, it does nothing. I know my mic works and I was even able to go though the "Speech Training" setups with no problem. I wouldn't have been able to do that unless my mic was working. I have been using ChatGPT to try to diagnose this but now it's wanting me to reinstall parts of Windows and I just don't want to start ripping my fairly complex system apart like that. Without voice, P2A is rather useless to me.

I mainly want to understand if this is something unique to my system or if others are having this problem.

Question about new runway in VHHH

VHHH has 3 runways, but in P2ATC, it's still showing the old runway, I am in the latest AIRAC, how's P2ATC get the airport runway config from? I play around the data maintenance but I can't find a way to modify the runway, like the old 25R will be 25C now.

This is a new to me problem never experienced before with several years of use. Mic is no longer recognized and a Sounds Refresh brings up an error message.

Well apparently I can't post a screenshot directly from my PC and I don't use any online services for images but it is a long error message starting with

"Error in RefreshSoundinputDevices:" and ending with "DispatcherPriority priority, CancellationToken cancellationToken, TimeSpan timeout) at System.Windows,Threadin,Dispatcher,Invoke(Action callback) at P2ADataLinq.AppSettings.RefreshSoundInputDevices()"

Any help appreciated.

Today I had Frankfurt Control stay with me all the way to Istanbul. Had a fatal error while trying to unload approach and set a new one. ATIS is non-existent on start until you switch frequencies back-and-forth.

Hello Dave,

I installed the latest update to version 0.2.9. After starting P2ATC and pressing the connect button, nothing happens. The Com1 and 2 channels are not displayed and the aircraft is not visible in the correct position. It looks as if the connection is not working. I reinstalled version 0.2.8 and everything works. Then I reinstalled version 0.2.9 and there is no connection.
I have the latest version of X-Plane 12 (12.4.0-r2).

I did the update to Pilot2ATC Version 3 0.2.9.

When opening Settings - Utilities - DataMnt the following Error appears (same as reported before for Version 0.2.8) :

Installed it again after 1 year away from v3 but it's still the same bundle of ***te!

Tried a flight from LICJ to LBSF and got up into air ok, then got transferred to Rome control which it stayed on untill I got to Sofia approach.

I got a warning to say expect arrival as it should be but it let me fly straight passed that point.

Also never changed freq to tower.

Motballing it again for a year or so and maybe it is finally getting resolved.

Sorry, not for me.

P2ATC v3-0.2.9 causes instability with XPlane 12.4.0

With XPlane 12.4.0, I experience instability (i.e. xplane hang that requires restart) when P2A_XPLink is installed.

I can reliably reproduce the issue with starting cold & dark with toLiss A320 neo airplane model.

Problem with SimBrief Import

Hello all,

I have a problem when importing a Simbrief-flightplan.

I always get the following Flight Plan Validation Error: "Cruise altitude is out of altitude range for one or more airway segments starting at ALOSO" (ALOSO is only an example).

But the target altitudes of all waypoints after ALOSO are within the Alt Restrictions.

What can i do? With this error message a filing of the flightplan is not possible.
