Pilot2ATC Bug Reporting Forum

  1. Started by jhhuber,

I set up a VFR flight plan by clicking +Wpt, entering KLVM, then clicking +Wpt and entering KBIL. Then I hit Validate and get this message: "Your flight plan must have a departure airport as the first waypoint and a destination airport as the last waypoint. If departure and destination airports are the same, you must have at least 4 waypoints in the flight plan." As I've clearly set up two valid airports, this error makes no sense. Bug? I also tried another plan that included 6S0 in between to get 3 waypoints, same thing. Then I tried to add 6S3 (in order) to get 4 waypoints and the whole sequencing goes haywire. KBIL ends up not being the last waypoin…

  2. Hi Dave, I know i've probably brought this up before. I find that fairly often p2a just randomly skips ahead many way points ahead of where i really am, in terms of which one is highlighted in the teal color which it thinks is next for some reason. As you can in the picture link i attached I had only just passed Orcka in the waypoint list, but p2a for some reason thinks that Kepec is next and highlights that one. The FMS still has the correct next waypoint highlighted. You can also see in the say it window that it it's giving be decent instructions way before it's time. It seems to still give me the correct atc hand off frequencies though. So i don't really …

Hi Dave, I have noticed since the last update there is a problem with the initial QNH reported by Clearance Delivery. My weather comes from Active Sky. The initial ATIS at the departure airport is always correct, however Clearance always reports a different QNH. Above you can see the QNH reported from Active Sky is 29.79 (1009). (Sorry the flight plan covers the metric value of QNH) Above is my Clearance. Notice QNH is reported as 1005. Now Ground reports QNH correctly as 1009. This happens on every flight. Best regards Rob

P2A V2.4.0.5 with XP 11. I have noticed that when I File a flight plan for a few locations that the arrival gets stuffed up - at least visually. Here I am trying to file a flight plan from YBBN to YSSY. As far as I can see the arrival is unflyable. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z1pf20q8vo4j3nn/Clip1.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/tdd4n5eovd9jrh9/Clip2.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/3nsp3v4js8pzo85/Clip3.jpg?dl=0 I get a similar problem when I plan from YBBN to YBCG - depending on the runways selected. If the plan calls for an approach from the south to YBCG it does not work.

  5. Started by mwilk,

Dave, I ran into an issue on a flight from YBMK to YBBN. I got a clearance with no problem and pushed back fine. When I asked for clearance to taxi to runway 14, P2A stopped responding. I tried it a number of times with the same result. YBMK requires a back taxi to runway 14. Is it possible that P2A got confused?

  6. Started by Dezza,

Hoping someone can help. When you cross the Map boundary, Pilot2ATC has an issue validating the plan. It puts some very high values in the distance fields and will not allow you to file. I am trying to put in the NZAA to KLAX route and have had no joy.

  7. Started by mwilk,

I'm trying to load a flight from EHAM to EDDH. P2A will load a flight plan from both Simbrief and PFPX but when I hit autoplan P2A goes into thinking mode and never completes the task. I've done other flights with this version so it seems to be an EHAM problem.

  8. Unable to load single sound file for FSS and Unicom - Multicom. Normally the patch is display after selecting the audio file and for those two is empty.

  9. Hi! Just a minor bug in the V.2.4.0.4_64 Config -> Btns gui: When I define a PTT hotkey and enables it by setting a tickmark in the "Enable" everything works. But when I restart P2A and looks at the Config -> Btns in a new session, the tickmark is NOT shown but it is enabled anyway. It seems as if the tickmark are saved and reread in the new session, the only thing missing is to show it in the GUI. Kind regards Jannik

I am a pilot student and am trying to fly KFTW-KMWL as check ride practice. If I file a IFR flight KFTW-KMWL and clearance gives me correct frequency (118.1 south,) but when i fly towards kmwl gives me completely wrong frequency.(plano center) i

Dave, I've had a few times where the map suddenly disappears and is replaced with a white box and a big red X. It happened again today when I clicked on the Terps button. After this happens, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the map back. Thanks.

Whenever I plan a VFR flight, the altitudes it gives me for entering the pattern stays at my plan altitude. I've attached screenshots of an example. Thanks! Mike

Hi, I am evaluating the version 2.1.0.2 with a trial license. On my Windows 10, I have changed my native culture pack (es_ES) to en_US by default. Voices downloaded, "language you speak with your device" changed to english and "recognize non-native accents" checked, voice training done... Installed XPUIPC and P2A is connecting just fine with X-Plane 11, but it is failing to me the most basic feature because P2A seems that it can't hear me at all. In order to do the most simple test, I´m just trying to use "Grmr Help" and using the most simples sentences as "Say Altimeter" , "Ready to Copy" , etc. but I always have the green message "Full text:" and nothing more. I ha…

  14. Did an IFR flight from YLIS to YBBN, using the STAR BLAK9A approach to RW01. Arrival using ILS RW01 with the GLENN transition. The plan generated and filed ok using P2A. The P2A flight plan gave height restrictions of Below 7000' at BERTI, Below 5000' at GEROO and Above 3000' at GLENN. All correct, but the controller just ignored those restrictions. The BERTI restriction was a bit funny - the restriction was 'Below 7000', but the flight plan had me at 7100'. But pretty close, I guess. When I flew, P2A kept me at 8000' the whole time. At TOD (just before BERTI) with a height restriction I took it upon myself to descend via the approach restrictions. P2A kept telling m…

One of my local airports (YBCG) that I fly to has no ILS. P2A works out a flight plan using RNAV to runway 32. No problems - all correct. When I near the approach, P2A will direct me saying that I am cleared for the ILS to runway 32. There is no ILS. I checked the Freq page in P2A and no ILS frequency is listed. I also checked the airport Info - no ILS listed. It is not listed in the XP Map screen either. I check with LittleNavMap (using the same Navigraph data) - no ILS. This has happened a couple of times, so it is not a one of. I fly here a lot - and I know that there is no ILS.

P2A Version 2.4.0.4_x64. P3DV4.1. AIRAC 1801. Step 1) Route: CYQB->CYUL (created in P2A auto-plan). Step 2) Connect to P3D Step 3) Validate and File flight plan. Step 4) Switch COM1 to CYQB Gnd (121.90) and then Request Clearance (set squawk code, etc). Step 5) Request Pushback and Engine Start. Step 6) Request Taxi. Silence. No response after a few minutes. I have to use windows task manager to 'End Task' on P2A. P2A logfile here: https://pastebin.com/HKQ9dvQE I've tried 5 times with this flight and the same thing happens eveytime.

  17. Started by asandor,

Updated to to 2.4.0.4_x64 today, when to enter a flight plan (KLGA BIGGY MXE KDCA) and when I try to enter in KDCA it gets stuck like its trying but just won't go in. All I get is the thinking cursor circle when I move the mouse to the right side where the FP goes. I tried to enter a flight plan that was different, from KOKC to KDFW, but got stuck with KOKC. I can see the disk working as it tries to find it, but eventually the disk stops and get the thinking cursor with nothing. Airports I have tried so far is KDCA, KOKC, KLAS. Entering them in manually or importing them from an XP 11 flight plan, its the same thing. Using AIRAC cycle 1801 from Na…

  18. Hi Dave I got this problem, that might be related to another issue (reported earlier), where you concluded that there was a drawing problem, but I have now seen that is has more serious consequences: Connect Departure EDDH Arrival EKCH Add WP GESKA Add WP MONAK SID RW15/LUB9D STAR RW22R/MONA1C/MONAK APPR RW22R/ILS-RW22R-I22R/Vectors to CI22R Validate File Now, the flight plan is deleted from NEKSO (the first WP in the STAR) including the arriving airport. Thus, there is no longer an arriving airport. Thus when I fly the plan I'm vectored straight ahead for eternity. If I disable ATC assign STAR/A…

  19. This has happened several times since the 2.4.0.4 upgrade (although for me I skipped from 2.4.0.1, so not sure where the bug was introduced). Upon landing and exiting runway, reporting "Clear of active", the Tower hands me off to Ground. When I give my normal request for gate (generically or a specific gate), P2A does not respond and locks. It will not even respond to a radio check. This has also happened at the beginning of a flight a couple of times (but not every time), again with Ground, when announcing "Ready to Taxi" when leaving the gate. Response to pushback and engine start request is normal. Rolled back to 2.4.0.1 and issue is gone.

  20. Started by Hari,

Dave,, I love p2A and use it all the time.!! This might be a bit premature but forgive me for asking. Any idea of when we might expect a P2A for the navigraph 1801 update? My current v2.4.04 x 64 ( airac 1705) does not show any SIDS after inputting the DEP and DEST airports after I updated P2A and FSX steam aircraft to navigraph 1801 release two days ago.. The dreaded hour glass keeps going. Best Regards Hari

  21. Started by robvanderwiele,

I tried v2.4.0.4 this afternoon. I select EHAM as departure and EBBR as arrival. Then I wanted to select the SID but it is just showing the wait cursor and nothing happens. I restarted P2A and tried again. EHAM/EBBR and now I choose STAR, this dialog comes up ok. I also tried loading a flight plan created with PFPX but same result. It seems to be EHAM related because when I slect EHRD as my departure airport the SID selection dialog shows ok. I did change my taxi routes in EHAM. Update: I deinstalled the v2.4.0.4 completely and reinstalled, still no luck. So I deinstalled again and went back to v2.4.0.3 and it worked again! Regards, Rob

Dave: I read your response, but there might be more to it. The HOLD pattern for the RNAV(GPS) approach should have the IAF at MATTE. In the current flight plan the IAF is at SQUR. The turn inbound is at MATTE instead of the IAF at MATTE. Looks like the whole holding pattern is shifted and centered at SQUIR. Take a look at the approach plate for the RNAV RWY 24. Maybe this problem is already solved if you change the the INBOUND and OUTBOUND legs ... maybe not. Take a look. Glenn
