Hi all, With W7 64 bit I had very nice 7.1 sound. I filled the Side surround with the rear surround and it was perfect. After upgrading to W10 I tested the sound with my Realtek Utility. Every channel worked. However in P3Dv3 I have lost all surround. Just the front speakers and woofer are working.... All suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Gerard

Hello together, last week I updated my win10 to a new build offered by windows updater. Up to that date my sim and all addons run ok, thereafter some licences (OPUS and MCE) got invalid. The reinstallation processes went ok, addons run again, but after restarting the compi the same desaster happened repeated times. Maybe there ist something with my OS settings causing this behaviour, I really dont know what else to do. Ticket to vendors is underway, licences are resetted, but didnt cure the problem. I guess the upshot of this is that if after hearing about some of the possible privacy and other issues you still decide to make the jump, either be sure to do a clean install or at least make a backup first! :Shame On You: A friend has now updated to 10 without telling me, and BOOM her sound card and printer have no driver for 10, and retreat is failing big time. I have 3 Win10 PCs which separately work brilliantly. My office PC has to have a printer, which the other two PCs should share. My main flying PC has the PMDG 777-300ER, PFPX and many addons. My laptop contains Navigraph Charts, VATSpy, TOPER 777 and Virtual AWOS. I need to be able to share my printer, so that I can print flight plans, etc. I have been trying to get Microsoft to help me set up a Homegroup across the PCs, but so far without success because it appears that their technical support does not understand Homegroups. Does anyone know how to set up a Homegroup and would be prepared to use TeamViewer to show me how to do this, please?

Hi guys Got a problem that driving me nuts - can anyone help please? Currently running Windows7 64bit I have a spare SSD that I want to install Windows10 on, in order to run a dual boot system. HOWEVER, this SSD previously had my Win7 on it, and apparently has the MBR on it. The Win10 installation finds this and refuses to install. I've tried many ways to clean the disk, but the MBR is obviously refusing to shift, even after deleting the only visible partition. I'm getting very short of time to do this, so if anyone can help I'd be mega grateful Ta!

Hello my fellow-simmers, using W10 for quite a while now without any problems to date, but now the following occurs after start of W10 the above happens once in a while and I have no clue what triggers it and how to get rid of it, other than shutting down. I use FSX-SE together with MCE and VoxATC and have selected English as the OS/Language and use a german keyboard layout, but I'm aware of the ANSI keyboard logic. Antivir and others state the compi is ok. Can somebody help me with that Thank's in advance Wolfgang

Some A/C like the Flight 1 ATR will not run under Windows 10 (as well as a pretty significant number of games) which some have suggested is due to DRM (Digital Rights Management). The issue does not exist under Windows 7. These are due to old authentication methods, licensing, etc, that don't seem to be compatible and are causing problems under Windows 10. I am not certain if there is a decline in FSX third party add-on sales, but Flight 1 doesn't seem to be moving forward with fixing or correcting the issue, I am running FSX under Windows 7, but it is just a matter of time before Microsoft is going to force the upgrade to Windows 10 (very soon). Greetings, although months away from release I received a message through Windows 7 that a free upgrade to windows 10 will be downloaded when ready. Just curious if anyone knows anything as far as possible compatibility issues with PMDG & FSX & if its worth upgrading. Thanks!

I was guied from Saitek account in Twitter to this link about Saitek beta drivers for yoke, TQ, rudders and trim, last modification 18/11/2015: ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/beta/Windows10/ Anyone already install it? After the update [KB3118754 installed on 11/19] for win 10 I get a error pop up; We're sorry, an unexpected error occurred which is preventing product activation from being completed, Error Code: 4-80070005. FSX worked just fine before the update. After the update it seems OK except for this pop up. Any thoughts Thanks RLJR

Took me about 45 minutes to download and install via Windows Update. I'm NOT happy about the update resetting some of my privacy settings back to default (aka spying back on).

Just looking for confirmation: Once Windows 10 is installed, is it accepted as being necessary that DX10 Preview is checked in the Simulator? There are many reports of graphic issues if this is not done - e.g. the black box on the aircraft selection screen. Thanks,

When I had Windows 7, it was easy to cut and paste a new livery into the aircraft config. You just hit SAVE and it was there. It seems you can't do that in Windows 10. I can still cut and paste, but when I go to save it takes me to a screen that won't allow me to just save the new livery. I really depend on this to add variety to my aircraft repertoire. Please let me know the trick to saving a new livery to an aircraft config in Windows 10. Stan

I have googled it with unsatisfactory results. There are some old u-tubes for XP that doesn't seem to work for me. I want to do a rebuild to see if it solves my nil value error with A2A aircraft. Thanks in advance for any help!

i have found on the innetnet to fix fsx in windows 10 to install direct 9, but windows 10 will not let you install direct 9, help hervy l galloway

I haven't yet seen on this board anyone updating with 2 PCs across a P2P. I have one running ASN (and other flight planning stuff) and the other FSX:SE. I use Saitek X52 controllers so I'm not updating my FSX:SE machine yet until the drivers are out of beta, but I'm in the middle (as I type) of upgrading my secondary PC running ASN to Win 10. I should (hopefully, fingers crossed) end up with a hybrid P2P with one on Win10 (32 bit ?) and the other on Win 7 (64bit). One of my reasons for doing this is that we're all going to have to move to Win 10, whether we like it of not (eventually), so the sooner I can get some experience with it the better. Hello pilots, my OS is Windows 7 64bit and have P3D V2.5 installed on it's own SDD. Soon will be deleting 2.5 completely and installing V3. Thinking about going ahead and upgrade to the free Windows 10. Would I be better off to format my OS drive and do a clean install of W 10 or just install 10 over my W 7 like others have done? Any advice will be appreciated. Lamar
