Any possibility down the road of including the ability to recover from the map white out with the red X? I'm guessing one could keep flying, shut down P2A and restart but trying to pick up the flight in the middle seems like it would be an issue. I realize the problem doesn't occur a lot but when it does, it's really annoying, especially on a long flight. Thanx, Vic

Hi Dave, Is there a way to get the GUI to remember the way I set things? Specifically, I like the Flight Planner to be closed by default as I fly mostly VFR and don't want that panel open by default. Also, I like the plane "Centered on Map", "Show both airborne and Ground Traffic", and the "Sectional Chart" set by default. I have to make these settings every time I start the P2A program. I always have to hover over the tiny icon to see if AI planes are set the way I want them which is a bit tedious. I plowed through the AppConfig.xml file looking for overrides for these and found nothing. If there are settings for this file, that would be a perfectly adequ…

I never rush into a P3D update until all my addons have been confirmed as being compatible. Most things seem to OK at this point but I haven't seen any mention of P2ATC. Is P2ATC OK with 4.5? Thanks, Lloyd

I think it would be very nice if the controller could ask you to go direct to some point, get a little slower or a little faster, tell you the airport is closed because of meteorological conditions, etc... Does Pilot2ATC has any of these unpredictability features? Btw, I didn't bought Pilot2ATC yet because i think it's very annoying to keep that big window open in order to interact with Pilot2ATC... Can't be somewhat like the Pro-Atc/X in which you have only a menu with numbers or a text scrolling at the top? Thanks!

I have owned every ATC program that has ever been made for flight sim. The vast majority of my flying is airliners so it's a must. Every time I wander away from Pilot 2 ATC I find myself coming back. It's very rare when P2A doesn't perform on the money. My only want from the program would be some form of interaction with AI traffic so I don't have to listen to canned background chatter. Otherwise, for me, P2A is as good as it gets.

P2ATC is my go-to atc, and I find myself very often go into the website to see if a new version is available. Couple of minor issues now: I dont know if atc has recognized my readbacks (using vr, dont see the interface), and I discover that if thats the case, p2atc stops working after a while. When contacting ground for taxi to the gate after landing, atc repeats the gate for no reason.

Hi Dave, When I contact a controller (when appropriate), I always want to include "with Information Alpha", etc. and the controller never seems to know what I'm talking about: "... inbound at two thousand five hundred feet for runway two three with information alpha" That always confuses them and I see no such language in the grammar for this anyway. Hi Dave, I use X-Plane to practice various weather conditions and thus set manual weather conditions for practicing cross-wind landings, etc. In order to accomplish this, I have to jump through a number of hoops: Setting X-Plane to use NOAA to create a METAR.rwx since when using a manual weather setting does not apparently do anything with that file. Manually editing the METAR.rwx to reflect the weather settings manually configured in the simulator. This is a tedious process simplified a little by using the VIM editor. (I am considering writing a METAR editor to simplify this process but would rather spend my time flying rather than coding.) …

Hi Dave, Glad to see you are back on the forums. Have not flown P2A much lately, unfortunately life intervened, but have started flying again with ATC again. The immersion factor it provides makes a huge difference, and your software is really good. Noticed today when clearing the active after landing, I gave a "<Call Sign> Clear of Active" report, and it was not recognized for some reason. When I looked under the Grammer Helper I could not find this phrase, it used to work. Is this action is sill in the latest version of P2A, and if so, is it under GND or Tower? Bill Clark

I use SkyDemon for my real world flying and would like to import my real world flight plans that I have done, but the file extensions that I can save them in are .GPX, .RTE .FPL .GFP. Is there any to import into P2A using any of these formats? TIA Lee

I am using Pilot2ATC to create my IFR flight plan and I am uncertain about order of operation or how much detail it needs to have. Both active departure runway and arrival runway could theoretically change after I file my IFR flight plan. So in general what is the best way to choose SID, STAR and arrival procedure? For departure: I am thinking of listening to ATIS for active runway to determine SID? For arrival: When P2A says "expect ILS Runway XX" is when proc should be activated? Is there any harm choosing it before even departure? If I don't choose a PROC during filing the flight, then what is the correct method of choosing it in flight? Do …

Hi I recently obtained Pilot2ATC and am having trouble exporting my created flight plans into my Aerosoft A320 MCDU. When I export the Flightplan from Pilot2ATC as a .FLP file all goes well but when I pull it into my A320 MCDU as a company route it only has the departure and destination airports, none of the waypoints or SID / STAR are included. However, I also export the file as a .PLN file into P3D and my LittleNavMap app. When I open the file in LNM everything is there. I then save that .PLN file from LNM into my A320 as a .FLP file and all the waypoints and SID / STAR are then included. As a note I was always able to do this in LNM I just used LNM with the Pilot2…

Hi, I love P2A. It is a wonderfull software ! But in VFR for some airport runways, the pattern direction (right hand / left hand) is not correct regarding the VAC of SIA in France. I can see the "pattern direction" in the Info Panel but is possible to modify it ? Is it coming from the scenery (Air flows) or from navadata ? Thank you very much,

I been reading the manual but still have some questions. Question #1. If I forgot to run P2A but middle of my VFR flight then what are the correct procedure to engage P2A? (as much detail will be appropriated special with order of operation). Question #2. In VRF what is the purpose/difference between "Direct To" "Flight following" "Open flight plan" Question #3. Similar to Question #1, Let say I am lost but middle of my VFR flight. I don't want to use maps or GPS. What is the procedure to ask for ATC for help to guide to an airport?

JustFlight just announced (https://www.justflight.com/product/traffic-global-xplane) that they are bringing "Traffic Global" to X-Plane. I would love to see Pilot2ATC integration with this plugin in X-Plane. It will probably be out by end of the year. An integration with P2A will make it a very desirable plugin so developer in theory will be eager to do integration.

I'm wondering how P2A handles the runway vacated situation. Considering that I'm using the SayIt feature, when I clear the rwy that's what happens: I ask the tower to taxi to the gate the tower tells me to contact ground I ask the ground to taxi to the gate ground gives instructions Shouldn't the tower taking initiative after I have cleared the rwy? Or am I missing something? Thank you in advance.

Hi, is it possibile to change descent rate and consequently TOD during flight? This happens if I realize that FMC TOD and P2A TOD are too far. I tried once but P2A still used the old TOD even if the refreshed waypoints list displayed the new one. Is there something I have to to? Thank you.

This question has probably already been posted but I find the search utilities in forums are terrible and I have already spent hours trying to export a flight plan to the FF A320 from Pilot2ATC. I recently purchased the A320 and see nothing but frustration around the internet of people trying to import plans into the A320. Some talk about a flight plan folder for the A320 (which is nowhere to be found on my computer) and others about a corte.in file but no one seems to have a clear answer that I can find.

I purchased p2a and initially had issues getting it to launch without a sql error. Somewhere along the way I did something to get it to work. Then I purchased a new computer and am back in the same position with the sql error. Dave from p2a has been amazing while trying to help but so far nothing has worked. So I thought that I would reach out to the community. The SQL server is running, stopped and started, all connections are enabled and p2a is installed on the same drive as SQL. Ideas?

First things first: Congrats @Dave-Pilot2ATCand his team for this "piece of art" ATC software, for the flight simulation enthusiasts as myself, i've tried it for the whole 10-day trial period, every single day, and it convinced me to buy it. I've been reading this forum and i notice some users are getting "resume own navigation" ATC command... personaly, I like to do long flights, cruising with AP and while cruising, sometimes I'm not close to the PC, so how do you get or request to resume own navigation ? Hi there, with the help of various threads in this forum I managed to get the speech training in P2A to work. It was not that trivial on my german Win10-pc... Ok, still I have the problem to get the Grammar Help to work. I practice the phrases (pressing the PTT button) but P2A seems not to hear me... No sound on replay. My mic is obviously working: It worked fine with the speech recognition training (in P2A). And I followed the hints in this forums... but nothing. I'm quite frustrated... And my trial period is getting shorter and shorter. Perhaps someone has another clue, what I could try to do. BTW, here is the text of the message win…

Hi Dave, I'm preparing a long flight and I've broken it up into several shorter "hops." Is there any way to take all the individual .vbf files and combine them into one long route or do I have to export them into FMS files and import them that way? Thanks! Naf
