In P3D4 at KHOU, I am having a problem with AI traffic taxing to a holding point that's close to the end of two runways. See the jet at the top of the illustration. All traffic that taxis to this point will hold until the plane simply disappears. Can P2A's Taxi Maintenance tool fix this issue? Here is a screenshot of the area. As far as I can tell the taxiways and runways are all right. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Gil

Flight from KMSP to KORD, FL 330, FYTTE5 ZZIPR transition for arrival to RWY 28R. After passing ZZIPR (don’t recall the distance) received clearance to cross FFYTE at 5700, then descend via the FYTTE5 arrival. It seemed, first of all, that an altitude of 5700 was kind of strange, especially given that the FYTTE5 arrival calls for a hard altitude of 11000 for that intersection, and also specifies 300 kts for landings to the west. My 737-700 had to just about fall out of the sky, and even at that could not make 5700 feet at 250 kts. I received a Descent Path Unachievable and Unable 250 kts message on the FMS CDU. Great program. Love the fact you can use external voices. I purchased 9 Cereproc voices. Two small things. Why cant you randomize controller voices. It feels a bit scripted when I have to dedicate a voice ti ground, tower etc. could that be so imposdible to implement? Also real world airspace boundaries would be nice. Not just a pre determined radius for Tower, Approach and Departure. Would add so much to the realism factor! overall a great product. Might be worth a purchase. Mike

On the last couple of flights P2A has not initiated a descent at the TOD mark nor ever issued an approach clearance. Attached is a log from the last flight. I had to request a descent. Then it never cleared me for the approach. I just did it anyway and it never said a word. After I landed I canceled IFR. Any ideas?? Well... how does one attach a log file? hmmm.

Ok guys, I'd like to think I'm fairly computer literate, but x-plane has shown me what a noob I really am. I'm buried in addons and plugins and .ini files. I just want to fly! Anyway, I'd like to try out pilot2atc, but I cannot get it to connect to the sim. This, like everything else in X-Plane, is complicated by the fact that I fly in VR. After some googling, I see that I need to install something called XPUIPC, but what version? I found a few different version, with readme files that referenced files that weren't even included in the download. In one of the X-Plane towered airport, the tower frequency is missing in the Pilot2ATC database. Therefore it is treating it as untower airport. Is there a way to add tower frequency to the database Pilot2ATC is using? Or is there a functionality to allow P2A to read this data from .apt file in X-Plane similar to how it reads taxi info?

Hi I have recently purchased FF 767-300ER using it on Xplane, but I have a problem with exporting a ‘FPL’ plan from pilot2ATC. When I try to input the Co Route on the FMC it states ”Route Not Found” . However if I create a plan with Online Flight Planner (same route) I don’t have a problem inputting the Co Route on the FMC. I have also used Simbrief without a problem. I have checked that all the AIRAC are similar pilot2ATC/FMC/ /Online Flight Planner and I have the lastest pilot2ATC (Version 2.5.07 with upgraded AIRAC). I have checked that I can import the FPL plan created in Flight Planner into pilot2ATC. The only clue I get to a problem is that if I crea…

If there's a way to do this forgive me, I couldn't find anything. It would be nice to set the delay your copilot waits to do the readback/freq change, and be able to cancel his readback so you can do it yourself. Maybe have a hotkey for this, or if you click the transmit button before he begins speaking or changes the freq? So if you want to do your own readbacks only in certain instances, you set a coplit delay of like 10 sec, then if you click the PTT and do your own readback before he starts, his is cancelled. This would give you the ability to transition into doing your own readbacks as you learn, without getting lost in the chain in more complex read…

So I'm a total P2ATC noob and completely word not allowed to IFR procedures, so bear with me. Let's say I file an IFR flight plan, and I'm halfway to my destination, but off to the side I see something cool I want to look at, maybe a mountain range or a city or a nude beach. Is there a way to amend the plan? If I have to cancel IFR, how do I then continue IFR to my destination? Would I just request VFR Flight Following to my destination, then request an IFR approach to the active runway? TIA Moe

Just bought this a couple weeks ago and am really loving it. I'm having an intermittent problem, though, with PTT, and I'm wondering if there's a solution. Sometimes I'll hit the PTT button and say something. The PTT button changes color as it usually does when it's listening. But when I finish, it doesn't echo what I said in the text box like it usually does, and doesn't respond as it should. If I then repeat myself, it will work fine. I don't think it's that I'm using the wrong commands, because I can repeat what I said verbatim the second time and it will work. And when I do use the wrong commands, it will still echo what I said to the text box. Any idea…

I have been having several problems with P2A, but I'll try to speak to only one issue at a time. The main problem I am having is that the program seems to hang at times, particularly the ATC conversations procedures. So far it seems to happen after speech has been converted to text and the text is something that doesn't make sense. For example, just now the program recognized speech as "CESSNA Two Charlie Bravo Request via Four Five One." This elicited no response from ATC, and no other communication was accepted from PTT or SayIt, or received from ATT. I was looking as trying to use other voices in Pilot2ATC and discovered that along with David and Zira there is a Mark voice in Windows 10. But I cannot figure out how I can use this voice instead of David. Does anyone know how? The voice is already part of Windows 10 apparently.

Here is a solition I use that allows Pilot2ATC to sound like a radio and use different sound devices at the same time in X-Plane. So in my set up I am all VR so I have x-plane sounds (engines etc) to the desktop speakers. Pilot2ATC to the rift along with Teamspeak, and different miccs depending on what I am doing. Hope its of use to someone.

Since yesterday I'm unable to access the website (Pilot2atc) either via Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. It says the site is unsafe and comes up with the following error - NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID Not sure if this is just my computer or more widespread.

Hi, I was running Pilot2ATC without problem until I moved my machine to another domain and migrated my user account accordingly. Since then, I get the following error when starting P2ATC: Unable to initialize Database. An exception has been raised that is likely due to a transient failure... The underlying provider failed on open. After this error, P2ATC starts, but no airports are shown. I already uninstalled and reinstalled P2ATC but no change. When I login with another account, I can start P2ATC with no error, but restricted as trial license. I suspect, that there is some old connection string / credentials stored somewhere which…

Ever wanted to listen to P2A ATIS information which matches P2A weather information. Due to a post for FF A320 finally we know how to disable without disabling the radios. Set sim/atc/atis_enabled to 0. You can use your favorite dataref editing tools or even insert into LUA script so you never forget. Supposedly it will stay this way until the next X plane upgrade but I have not confirmed this aspect.

I just installed ActiveSkyXP. The weather data in the XP Flight Configuration/Weather setup screen matches what ActiveSkyXP is reporting, but the wx reported by P2A is different. I have P2A configured to use "Sim Weather" and the location set to the XP root folder. Am I missing something? Thanks for your assistance.

I'm trying to use the speech assistant window with XP11. When I toggle the window it will not show up in XP11. Is it not possible to use this or is there a setting that I'm missing in P2A or XP11?

Hi Dave, I'm receiving the following error when I try to load pilot2atc, latest version. Unable to initialize database. The underlying provider failed to open. Cannot open database "D:\PILOT2ATC_2018_X64\P2ADYNAMICDATA.MDF: requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user... This happened after I updated airac using NavDataPro to the latest cycle. Any help appreciated.

Hi Dave, I posted this message on the X-ATC-Chatter forum and Mark asked me to post this here in case you had some advice: I'd like to verify my approach to controlling the density of the chatter I'm getting on a given frequency. For example, I'm flying out of a small class D field (KLEB) so the level of traffic I'm hearing on the Ground and Tower frequencies is unrealistically high. In order to make this more reasonable, I've resorted to adjusting the Pause to something quite large like 90 seconds. That is pretty realistic for these small fields but when I tune to Boston Center, I have to pause the game and drop the time-between back to around 5 seconds. I…

Just an observation on the website - I found the text on the tutorials page very difficult to read. To a lesser extent some of the text on the Purchase page is also difficult to read.

I have an installation with dual Saitek yokes on X plane. I use a LUA script to switch control from one yoke to the other. Hence the PTT switch number changes at that point. I am assuming that P2A cannot accomodate this? Every time I tried to assign a PTT switch to the second yoke, P2A just defaulted to the first one in the drop down list. Love it if it could. My issue is with my workaround though, I decided to keep the PTT only on one yoke on the captain side of my cockpit. However, for reasons I hope someone will be able to explain, P2A always chooses the co-pilot PTT switch and fails to recognise my captain yoke no matter what I try. I even tried deleting the co…

Hello, Please could someone advise. I have XPlane 11 running with Pilot2ATC v2.5.0.7 x64 on Win10 high spec PC. If I ask Pilot2ATC to Add GA Flights in the Left hand pane of the Flight Setup form and set the GA aircraft number above 3 in the right hand pane, I get a CTD. If I set the slider 'Number of GA flights to add' at 3 or less, I get no CTD Any advice as to what the problem may be please. Thanks in anticipation Andrew
