Hello Dave, I have been trying Traffic Global and think that it is going to have the depth to become a major AI traffic mod. The developers say in the manual that they have created hooks for others to link up with them easily. It would be great to see their AI planes recognized by P2A. Their AI is basically invisible to Xplane but if you can link to them directly, Xplane won't matter..... Thanks for considering this......

Hi Dave; I just bought Active Sky and was able to direct Pilo2ATC to the appropriate weather folder. I have checked a few Airports Metars info between ASXP and Pilot2ATC and was very happy to see that metars are really very close to each other. However, I noticed that for the same time of day, the Pilot2Atc only difference is with wind direction which can be sligtly over or under the AS data. ex: CYYZ:+10 CYUL +15 KSEA -16 Do you have any idea why this is happening?

Hello, There are a few times when P2A gets stubborn and won't let me go forward. 1) sometimes I get nervous when a pass the green arrow for descent and P2A doesn't tell me to descend. But if I initiate a descent on my own, P2A scolds me and says "expedite climb to xxxxx" , But if I don't obey because I am now in a zone where the waypoints demand a lower altitude, P2A doesn't realize that now I can descend. It will continue "expedite climb to xxxxx" all the way down to the runway. There needs to be a routine where it checks to see if maintain altitude is still what is needed. 2) Sometimes when I taxi, I will select an entry to the runway that wasn't what P2A…

Hi, I setup a flight plan from EGHI --> DVR --> ROLIS --> EDDF without SID and STAR. I cannot get the STAR and approach given by ATC. I've set it up with Active Sky XP and every flight It seems to always say " Expect vectors to ILS, RNAV, VOR xxxx" Nothing is said about the STAR? I've checked all 3 boxes for ATC assigns SIDs, STARs and Approaches. I don't mind programming in the correct STAR into the flight plan. I'm using V2.6 I've unchecked the force runway pilot selection and auto load procedures. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi there, Today i wanted to try trial version of P2A, but despite i fulfill all requirements which P2A needs, it won't recognize my speech. Also, Speech Recognation Voice Training works and recognize my speech, but grammer helper does not. By the way, i installed and selected as default U.S. English Language Pack, Speech Pack, and tried two different microphone. Thank you.

I have just flown in to Panama City MPTO, enroute I checked the weather and it indicated scattered clouds at 600 and 1600, broken at 8000 with no precip. About 100 miles out rain started and continued right on down to landing. Sitting on the field now, it's raining Checking the Xplane weather (set to match real world) it shows stormy conditions with light rain. In agreement with P2A, two scattered and one broken layer. In the P2A wx configuration, weather source is SIM Weather. Xplane and P2A report the same barometer reading for MPTO. How it can be raining with both Xplane and P2A appearing to get the data from the same source, yet P2A reports no prec…

Every time I try to contact ground/tower or radar it takes a number of calls before I get a response and even then I get the voice saying aircraft calling repeat with call sign which I do but even after a few transmissions I am lucky if they reply and have to restart Pilot2ATC due to no response after calling a number of times. When I am able to transmit and before reading back the instructions the co-pilot answers even though I have unchecked the box in the configuration menu, just do not know why the co-pilot still responds to the radio? I have even set up boost on my microphone in case I am coming through very quiet and have tested it under windows configuration …

I am enroute at altitude and would like to go up 2000 feet. I've found the say-it text for this but I need to put in the altitude I want. I tried typing it in where it should go, but my co-pilot does not say that altitude, she says the altitude I am assigned. Am I doing something wrong? Can say-it text be modified on the fly (pun intended)?

Hi, I'm very interested in your product but looking to clear up if I need Navigraph, which I'd rather not get into a subscription. I primarily will be flying prop planes. With that I'd like to know what features do I lose if I don't use Navigraph. I like both VFR and IFR flying as well. Appreciated

Hi @Dave-Pilot2ATC, Sorry might have found another one, not intentionally, just modifying airports. If you delete a gate, then click on another gate the deleted gate reappears again. But only temporarily, it seems it really has gone, as when you save and go back in, it's not there. When you delete a series of gates it's obvious as the last one always reappears when deleting the next, then they both vanish on deletion. You'll see what I mean if you delete 5 in a row. Cheers, Mark.

Hi @Dave-Pilot2ATC, I think I've stumbled across another bug. It states in the instructions that every time you import an airports Taxiways/gates, it creates a backup first, so that you can restore the original if you've only performed one import of each at that point. Sure enough the backups create, but I've noticed that when you use them, it fails to import the original setup and instantly records over them, destroying them without the restore having taken effect. The second time I needed to do this I took precautions and created copies of the backups first. I then tested. Sure enough, when I restored using the original backups, the restore didn't w…

I had a couple flights over the last couple weeks, in the PMDG 777, where Pilot2ATC descended very late. I had to basically do my own 360 to get low enough to start the approach. These were flights NOT on a STAR, but vectored. I was also using FS2Crew as well, if that matters. But, I did everything I was supposed to do ( I thought), just way to high when the approach was hanf=ding me off to tower, where there was NO way, I was going to be able to land at the airport without a crash dive 🙂 Has anyone else seen that ever, or am I just maybe missing something?!

After filing my flight plan, getting clearance and taxi instructions that included approval to cross the active runway - 36 (no taxiway to the end of the runway at this airport, MMVR), I informed ATC I was ready to go and was given approval for takeoff. Starting my roll, I noticed a spot in the sky about 10 degrees up that looked like another aircraft making a final to runway 18, the same strip, opposite end, I was using to take off. Being a daredevil who should never be allowed near a RL cockpit, I decided to see for myself if ATC was making a goof. Sure enough, just as I left the ground I got a red traffic alert with verbal command to climb. I was able to avoid a m…

I tried my 1st IFR flight in P2A last night and everything went just great except that I didn't get vectored to the runway. I eventually had to just fly the pattern myself with no further instructions from ATC. It was an uncontrolled airfield with no ILS so I wasn't expecting hand holding down to the landing, but when I've done IFR previously with X-Plane's built-in ATC I would get vectored for a visual approach. I probably did something wrong setting up the flight plan. If so please let me know. The flight plan was simple: I 1100 Version CYCLE 1801 ADEP S69 ADES 8S0 NUMENR 3 1 S69 ADEP 4600.000000 46.954353 -112.650467 11 GAPAR DRCT 12000.000000 47.896…

Dave, Found the GA Ramp to be incorrect at KCLT. So of course the taxi instructions are also incorrect. Any way to change the position of the GA Ramp using taxi maintenance or otherwise? Chris

I have made a VFR flight plan from ESGP to ESGT. I tune Malmö center at 118 and when I call for flight plan clearance I get cleared and told to call again after being airborne for advice service. Then there seem to be problems. I make an initial call (still on 118) saying I am climbing (or at) 3500 feet. P2A seem to have problem to recognize the number 3500. And if I get it right or use sayit to make this call nothing happens more. Should it be so ? Shouldn't the ATC say something ? Also should I expect ATC to call me when getting close to the destination ?

Made a flight today from LGIR to LGTS in X-Plane and when i was on final there was a plane in the runway, pilot2atc instructed me to go around as it should be, and after gave me vectors to another approach, all good until that moment, but then it started to tell me go left go right and in a few minutes i was driving away from the airport, i pressed the approach button, all looked good, but i was far away from the point that indicates "your position" it seems that pilot2atc didn't know where i was, i requested vectors for a visual straight in, but again the vectors where incorrect and was another confusion, i ended ignoring the vectors and i went direct to the final approa…

Short version: should a P2A .fms (for Xplane 11) export then import without any omissions into Xplane's FMS? Long version: I used P2A to auto-generate a FP from KSAF to KPHX which it did including 13 waypoints. I then tried exporting this FP from P2A in the fms format for Xplane 11 and was prompted by P2A that it worked. Then, I went to Xplane and loaded that same FP into the Xplane FMS. It loads, but I get only the departure and destination airports, none of the waypoints. I note in the P2A manual it says that user defined WP's are accepted in a .fms export and assume that P2A generated WP's should transfer without problem.

On the ground at KPHX. I could get all the map information, see my plane on the taxiway, had weather, runways, etc. but the frequency list was blank. I took off thinking maybe once airborne I'd get the frequency data but nothing appeared. I tried restarting P2A but had the same situation. Without guidance from the frequency list, I could not establish contact with ATC.

This is more of a RW procedure question than a P2ATC question. I make my initial contact with tower and am told "continue approach X, contact tower when established on final." At what point do I consider myself established on final? Localizer captured. Localizer and glideslope? Disance X from runway?

Help me please ! It's been 4 hours that I'm working on the trial version, the installation and the communication with X-Plane go well, no problem to create or import, validate, and transmit a flight plan, I listen to the ATIS. .. Although I have a microphone / headphone connected, I only use the button "SayIt". My requests "request clearance" or "Request OpenFlightPlan" are displayed and are correctly pronounced by P2A BUT I never have an answer. What could I forget? Is it normal that when I connect to the simu, the lines "Recognition Engine Installed" and "Grammars Loaded" do not appear? Are it necessary then that I do not use the microphone ?? I only have …

Following the user guide to convert & import my 1909 fsAerodata bvcf.bgl.xml, after a "long" procedure i see the new boundaries & frequencies but no explicit or apparent "save" step. closing the window and / or restarting P2A, the import is not there, still the sim's data. your advice please dave.

The instructions in the P2A manual about inserting one's own internet address in place of the one supplied in order to get rid of the opening advisory is clear. I want to do that. However, I can only find a IPv6 (128 bit) address for my machine and P2A won't accept it, so the pop-up warning still appears.

After my recent issue, I decided to do a fresh install. I installed this to my E: drive. I thought I had uninstalled the previous installation on my C drive. Then I noticed when I was trying to figure out why the X-Chatter files weren't being played I discovered that on the C drive was this path: (C:) > Pilot2ATC_2018_x64. Inside that folder is a Data Folder and an index file. Should these be there or should I copy the index file over the E: drive installation and then delete the folder that remains on the (C:)? With the exception of the X-ATC Chatter files not being played the programs works fine. Thanks for any help. Cheers, M…
