    P2A has been working well for me for a long time. Recently it has been closing down after about an hour into a flight. It will pick up from where it left off, when I open it up again. What could be causing this? I have been through the USB power managements, to ensure that they are all set at zero.

  2. Hi Dave Can P2A handle communication for a diversion to an alternate after a missed approach? If so, I assume a new flight plan would have to be input into P2A. Would a new clearance need to be requested? What other communication would be involved? Any guidance would be gratefully received. Regards Colin

  3. I've created the local directory structure and the APPR, Dgm, SID, and STAR buttons all work great. It appears that the INFO button has been added recently and now every time I open the TERPs window, I get a dialog box stating that the folder could not be found. I can then click on any of the other 4 buttons and it works but it is an extra click each time I open TERPs. The documentation only shows how to setup the original 4 buttons and the screenshots there don't show the INFO button. I tried creating a directory called INFO but that didn't work. Should the directory be called something else or is local chart support missing for the INFO button?

  4. I tried to fly the AFM M20 Ovation II using pilot2atc. It was as if gremlins were taking command of the coms and constantly randomly switching between com1 and com2 frequencies in pilot2atc so that I could not use the aircraft. I tried a different aircraft and pilot2atc behaved normally. Has anyone tried the AFM M20 Ovation II with pilot2atc? Any suggestions as to why frequencies are being switched randomly with this aircraft?

    Dave, I downloaded your 10 day trail version and was was very pleased with the product. Today I paid out $60 only to find that now it doesn't work at all!! I get the above error message which tells me that another instance of Pilot2Atc is already running. I can only see one running in Task Manager and the only way to close the program is by ending the task. To start the program I am right clicking on the desk top shortcut and running as administrator, the program loads and then immediately minimizes to the task bar. I can't restore it, maximize it or close it. I have re-booted several times, uninstalled and re-installed it, deleted the Pilot2ATC folder on my C d…

An attempt to attach an auto named daatabase for file C:\Pilot2ATC_2018_x64\Data\P2ABaseData.mdf failed.     Hi everyone, I've been running P2ATC for a couple of months now with no problems (after initial config). Now I've started having the same voice volume issues that I did when I started with the program. From yesterday I can barely hear ATC or Chatter voices despite the volume for the voice settings at 100. I've changed nothing else and havn't installed anything new, it just happenned. My Windows 10 volume mixer is set with System sounds to 100%, P2ATC to 100% and P3D to around 35%. Aircraft noises are unchanged but I can't hear anything else. Help! Cheers Warwick

    I don't do much VFR flying and couldn't find much about it in the P2A manual, so I can use some tips. In this particular instance I'll be departing an uncontrolled airport and landing at a controlled airport. I won't need ATC except at the end when I have to contact tower for landing permission and instructions. So how do I set this up in P2A? Do I have to file a flight plan in P2A even though I'm not contacting center to open it? Do I need to get VFR clearance before taking off? Please help the stoopid person. 🤡

    Hi Dave I plan my PMDG737 flights with PFPX and my TOD for a flight from LEAL to LEMH was 65nm before the destination. My cruise altitude according to PFPX was FL220 and G/S 377kts. In P2A the closest Cruise Alt I could set was FL230 with Plan GS 380kts. I set the Dscnt Rate to 1950FPM which gave a TOD to Dest 68.5NM. I thought that as the P2A TOD to Dest was slightly greater than the PFPX TOD I would receive descent clearance at 68.5NM which would enable me to easily intercept VNAV PTH but P2A did not issue a descent. As soon as I passed the PFPX TOD I requested a descent which I finally received and was able to catch the VNAV PTH. Why did P2A go…

    Hello folks, is there a way to stop hearing the X-Plane ATIS and only use the P2ATC ATIS? I can switch on the P2ATC, however I end up with 2 voices overlapping. I would really like to use the P2ATC systems as then I can change the voice. Even when I change the frequency of my aircraft radio it is still there.. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks..

    Hi Dave I wonder if it would be possible to have the option to display numbers instead of text i.e instead of <aircraft callsign> contact center on one one eight decimal seven seven it could display <aircraft callsign> contact center on 118.77. The same would apply for <aircraft callsign> taxi to runway two seven i.e. <aircraft callsign>taxi to runway 27. There are many other places where text could be replaced by the numbers. This would considerably reduce the amount of text that appears and in my opinion it would be much simpler to read and understand. Just a thought! Regards Colin Ackerman

    Good Afternoon. Firstly hats off to the developer for making such an addictive product. I just purchased it not a month ago and now can't fly without it. Now to the question :). I have FSLabs A320 in P3D that I want to take for a spin and it seems that P2A is having troubles communicating with this particular aircraft in terms of auto tuning frequencies when flying in a co-pilot Say it mode. I have to go and physically re-tune the frequency in the cockpit whenever there is a frequency hop. Is there a trick I am missing when it comes to this particular plane? It works perfectly with PMDG 738 in P3D and with all the tube liners in XP11.

    Hi, I have the Force Pilot Runway selection unchecked. For one of the airport, the auto plan initial assigned me R15 before departure. Just before the descent, ATC told me to expect runway 07L. Since the runway was different I chose to request radar vector for ils approach to runway 07L. However sometime after I requested for airport advisory, and ATC told me 25R is the active runway. I then proceeded to request radar vectors for 25R, but I was still told vectors for 07L. Is this an expected behavior ? If yes how do I workaround this.

    During Tower's readback correct of clearance it repeats my callsign and tail number. It looks like this: Concorde Niner Seven Four Romeo Whiskey HEAVY. Concorde Niner Seven Four Romeo Whiskey HEAVY. Readback correct. It also happens with Ground, as well. Never had this issue before. I am using version 2.6.1.1, the latest one. I tried other callsigns and tail numbers but get the same outcome.

  18. I fly a lot in my DO-228 (in XP) from small country strips, and usually VFR. There are often no hold points. You taxi out a few meters to the runway, turn left or right and taxi down to the end of the runway and turn around. Then take off. The problem is that there is no point where I can say "callname holding short runway 22". How does one trigger the next phase of ATC control? Also - there is usually no tower or clearance frequencies at these strips. I normally contact Tower at the nearest big city (usually hundreds of miles away). Is this the normal practice?     Hi I notice in the manual that you set the radius in nm for each ATC controller airspace. Any plans to implement real world airspace boundaries or at least have the somewhat outdated airspace from within FSx P3D that default ATC uses? Does Pilot2ATC read the airport AFCAD file for its use of communication freq? If so I guess I could manually update Towers, UNICOMS, CTAF etc in the AFCAD? Mike

    Hi everyone, I'm in the process of evaluating Pilot2ATC and I really love what I'm seeing (and hearing!) so far. My one issue is that when I'm talking to ATC, their reply is muffled behind the environmental and engine sounds of P3D. I can hear that I'm getting a response but it is very soft and impossible to hear over the engines. If I mute the simulator sounds, the voice "bounces" in at normal volume and is perfectly audible. I've watched Dave's setup video and I've got most things setup as default so I'm not sure what's going on here. Would be grateful for any guidance you can give. Cheers Warwick

    Hello! I'm just trying out Pilot2ATC to decide if i want to buy the software, and love it so far. I'm running in some issue regarding importing of taxiways, it seems i cannot get it to work at all. I have searched trough ths forum, and found some useful information and tried everything i could come over, but nothing seems to help. I have a custom scenery pack from Aerosoft on ENGM Gardermoen. But this problem seems to happen on airports with default scenery aswell - the only airport i have got it to work is EGGL Heathrow.   23. HI all, I just did a flight from LEMD to LFPG with ILS 27L and DOMUS Transition, which has a infinite downwind Vector. Normally I would expect vectors (turn) to final at some point, but Pilot2ATC let me fly forever on this downwind vector. Even asking for vectors to final did not work. I was only cleared only directly for ILS 27L, so I did turn on my own to the final. Was working, but I expected to get vectored correctly. Was is the expected behaviour here? Cheers, Coldy
