  1. When we talk with P2A controllers, are we communicating over the Internet with a central P2A server, or are we talking to software that's installed on our own computers? I ask, because usually I get immediate responses from P2A controllers. But sometimes, the controller's response is very delayed. Indeed, sometimes, I get no response at all -- not even from a controller with whom I've already had two-way communication. For example, this morning (a Sunday) on a VFR flight, I was handed off to a new controller on a new frequency. I checked in with my call sign and altitude, and got an immediate response. A few minutes later, though, I advised the controller that I was chang…

  2. Hello, I have a little problem since yesterday, it also corresponed with a windows 10 update (update 2004), there may be a link?? I can no longer connect P2A with my simulator (Xplane 11). After some research, I succeeded to connect P2A to Xplane after reinstalling P2A. The problem is that I have to do the same thing (reinstalling P2A) before each new flight. Have you seen this problem? Regards. Vincent

  3. Hi, together with a german forum-fellow we wonder, if that is possible: P2A runs on a machine with Win64Bit, there where it belongs 😄 Over a Network connected to X-Plane, wich runs on a MAC (having an apple OS64Bit). Thinking of it, should be possible. After all, X-Plane is X-Plane. or am I missing something?

Hi everyone can somebody please help me with understanding the ATC interaction within flight. I understand that at start up the flight crew has to start the request for clearance, push back ,taxi and take off when at holding point. I am not clear about the process after that..... at the point of TOD, is it the pilot that asks for permission to start the decent or does P2A send the instructions automatically. I am keen to learn more about ATC-is there any good tutorials that you suggest. Many thanks Qas

  8. Anyone else have issues with the tbm in xplane? I've had p2atc for over a year now with no issues. Just got the tbm this week and often times the p2atc messages are cut short. No problems in other aircraft.

Hello all. Spent most of the day trying to sort out an issue where Pilot2ATC cant hear my voice. If I use the Language trainer standalone its fine but using the Grammar function within the programme it doesn't recognise nor does it recognise when I press the PTT. If I use the "SAYIT " function - that's not a problem. Windows Speech recognition is working fine and as far as I know the Microphone is set up to work with Pilot2ATC - but nothing happening. Hugely frustrating so any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, does anybody know of a video showing off P2A in a VFR cross-country flight in light GA airplane? I would like to see it handling traffic advisories , flight following and departure/landing assignments (with pattern instructions?) Thanks!

  11. W10 updated to 2004 yesterday and today Pilot2ATC no longer works with my mic. My microphone works just fine in W10 and passed the speech setup in W10 and Cortana. It is just Pilot2ATC that now seems broken.

I'm starting my search now for a traffic mod and would like one that works with P2A. IIRC, World Traffic 3 was somewhat integrated but can someone expound on that? I got the impression the two programs weren't 100% in sync with each other. How about other programs like Traffic Global? It seems like a lot of people like that one and say it is superior to WT.

Dave, Does P2A use the same voice recognition file (named "Default Speech Profile" in my case) that Microsoft provides when I use the standard Win 10 voice recognition training tools to train my voice? Bill Clark

  14. Hi, I really like P2A, even more with ATC-Chatter installed on Airport level. Since I'm in Europe or more precise in Germany, flying a Mooney M20 Eagle mostly from a smaller airfield in Germany (EDKB) to also smaller airfields in France (like LFQA), I cannot exactly use P2A since it seems to focus on airports with all the ground and tower voices. In Germany VFR communication is mostly in german language and quite easy process wise. Departing is (in german) like this: Pilot: Hangelar Info, N131MA EDKB-Info: N131MA, Hangelar Pilot: N131MA, two people VFR local EDKB-Info: Active runway is 29, QNH 1013 Pilot: Rundway 29, QNH 1013 So I wrote a script to simp…

Flying from KDLH to KMSP [[ Climb Rate 2000 // CRZ ALT:FL200 // Plan GS 415 // Dscnt Rate 1500 // TOD 68.8 ]] about 30 nm from GOLLF I get expect arrival via gep1 to RNAV for runway 22. Descend and maintain 4000 ft. 2 minutes later I get expedite descent to 4000 feet. then at Ollee I get handed to approach and they tell me descend via gep1 arrival to 3000 ft. after a couple minutes holding at 4000 since I'm already below the altitude constraints of GEP1 . again I get expedite descent to 3000 ft. now I finish the last 26nm of the approach less than 2400' off the ground(BTW vectors all right at the end of it just the altitude is way too low) this is repeata…

  17. Good evening, I called request vectors for landing and approach directed me back to the airfield's general vicinity and switched me to Tower frequency, and from there I was expecting/hoping the tower would give me turn left/right instructions right the way until onto final approach, but it didn't. I'm not sure if that's reasonable or whether it doesn't work like that? Thanks. Mike

  18. Hello, I hope one of the Pilot2ATC users can help me here. I'm sure you've been asked several times before, but I wanted to know which traffic program really works with the Pilot2ATC. I mean, that Pilot2ATC recognizes the traffic in its instructions or also on the map. I own the programs WT 3 and JARdesign x-Life Deluxe. Neither of the two traffic programs I can see in Pilot2ATC. For the WT 3 I have activated World Traffic in x-plane 11 at AI. In Pilot2ATC the two buttons for Airplane are on. If I use x-Life Deluxe (have WT3 switched off), I don't know how to see them in Pilot2ATC. But in x-plane 11 you can see all traffic planes (depending on t…

  19. Today I tried my first P2A VFR pattern. Runway 21 EGMD, I requested takeoff and to stay in the pattern. Tower was fine and instructed me to remain on the frequency, to fly left-hand pattern for runway 21. That was the last I heard from Tower, so I tried to use the SayIt feature to Report downwind, final etc via the Report PatternLocation menu but none of these options would speak to ATC. Instead I used Approach to report final and request touch and go. This worked. How do I get SayIt to speak the PatternLocation phrases please?

  21. Hi Dave, Couple of problems I've noticed over the past few months. On several occasions now it's clipped the end of the QNH off and just states the first two digits. You can see that here as it actually printed it that way as well. UKV One Four is cleared to Mike Kilo Juliet Papa as filed Runway One Two Left Climb and Maintain Flight Level Two Three Zero Squawk Four One Five Two; UKV One Four Readback Correct. QNH is One Zero Contact Ground on One Two One decimal zero when ready for pushback enjoy your afternoon The second issue is, whenever there's a need to hold short at a runway, because of other traffic, whenever you read back the hold shor…

Trying to fix one of the airports I'm currently using as my main hub (LIRF) and I would like to clarify a few things: 1. Are more taxi points = better? Importing the airport and there are loads of green taxi pins, I wonder if cleaning it up a bit would help or make things more efficient? Some taxiways, especially those near gates, are just one long taxiway but have taxi pins at certain distances, does this help with taxiing to gates? Or would it be better to delete all unnecessary taxi pins? 2. After a Hold Short point, the next point should be the runway? What happens if this next point is also the end point of a runway? Or Hold Short points that do not …

The P2A KORD is very dated and does not reflect current conditions (which it is not expected too). However, there is a lot of manual work to get this adjusted via taxi maintenance. Question here is, have any of you done this or have a good APT.DAT file that I can get? The Nimbus KORD custom payware airport has his taxi lines in the DSF file (not the APT.DAT file). Would you my know of a way to 'export' it out of DSF into APT? I have tried the export button in WED but the file it generates is essentially empty. Thanks
