About 50% ofthe time the SID ATC assigns is not correct for the runway it also chooses. Example: Flying into KDEN ATC chose BOSSS2 RNAV ARR and Assigned the rwy 16R ILS. In this case it even failed to provide vectors when I reached the last point of the STAR. Instead it gave a clearance to the KAILE transition on the 16R ILS procedure (BTW thats quite a distance from the last point on the STAR) without any help. I made the transitionand landing BUT it clearly states on the STAR plate that when Denver is landing to the south (this case) the corresponding RNAV STAR is ZPLYN. Thus I would not need to have fumbled around to convert to something that should h…

I recently adopted the hobby and boy is it getting a little expensive, so taking opportunities during sales would be silly to miss. Is there usually a festive sale of Pilot2atc? Thanks

Hello, i´m testing the P2ATC Demo at the moment. I´m not able to get working together with the JD A330 V3 and the A320. Problem is that the radios are not working. Never got a response from a controller - even when use the say it function. Other airplanes from FF 767 + 757 or A320 for example are working. Are the JD A320 + A330 not compatible ? Tank you for information.

Hello, I updated to 2.5.0.3 and now the responsiveness of the application has slowed way down. In 2.5.0.2 import a flight plan maybe 5 to 10 seconds, in 2.5.0.3 at least a minute or i get a "not responding" message in the import window at top. Also, other areas like searching for way point or sid or star takes much longer and i also get a "not responding" message until it finally loads. I did install latest navigraph update. Anyone seen this issue? Thanks, Bruce

Is there a way to either slow down the ATC or add short pauses between taxi instructions - in the latest version as of this week ATC spits out the taxi ways so quickly it is impossible to write them down and in some cases they are inaudible. Thanks. Chuck

Recently when I press export the export screen comes up as usual but does nothing when I press the export button, I have to manually close the screen. The file is not exported to any of the programmed folders. Any ideas?

Hi Dave, love pilot2atc...thanks for your efforts... When i fly out of airports which require runway backtrack, i only get instructions to hold short. I suspect backtrack intructions are not implemented ? Thanks Dan

I’m just jumping into IFR, and am trying to plan a very simple ILS approach (emulating a flight out of PE). My flight is KSNA to KSNA using Runway 20R via SIL, SNAKE and LEMON. I’m flying this in a ga (piper Cherokee), but at a low altitude (2000 climbing to 3000). Even with a modest gs (100 kts), climb rate of 700 fpm, and descent of 500 fpm, it seems I should be able to fly this. However, I can’t get past the “TOD CALCULATION ERROR” message. Is this just too basic/short (same origin and destination) of a flight to work with P2A or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Are there any plans to allow printing of the generated flight plans? Just asking, it would be a useful feature for me.

Hello Dave 😃 P2A v2.5.0.6 - r3 / Windows 10 In the boxed area below, we cannot enter an odd flight level. For example, if I enter flight level 230, flight level 240 is displayed. If I enter flight level 210, flight level 220 is displayed. If I enter flight level 260, flight level 260 is displayed correctly.

Hi, thanks a lot for the great system! I'm new to P2A and started doing some pattern work successfully - with a huge restriction. I hope that there's no similar topic like this already in progress. If yes, I apologize in advance - I didn't see it. Ok, here's the story with my question below: First I tried my usual Siegerland (EDGS) airport, which provides ILS approach. A rather substantial regional Airport. In fact, this airport provides Info only, no Tower. That's correct. But in real life, Info behaves like Tower! So, next I tried Egelsbach (EDFE), same situation, Info only. But in practice, it's like dealing with a strictly Tower controlled airport…

Hi At the moment Pilot2Atc reads from P3d for its information. Is there any way in the future that you could make it possible to read from Pilot2ATC back for lua files in FSUIPC. My reasoning for this is that I use a home cockpit with 6 screens. Pilot2ATC is by itself on one of those screens. There is a power connected icon and PTT activation button in your program that turns green when used. I was hoping that in the future I could connect to Pilot2ATC so that the PTT led on my home cockpit could be connected to your program via a lua. At the moment it of shows when I press my PTT switch but you cannot program it to only light when your program is actively using it. …

Hello friends. Can anyone think of what am I doing wrong so that pilot2atc won't accept my flightplan? I've done tons of flights with pilot2atc without problems, but today it just refuses to accept my flightplan. It does seem to validate it (the validate button does turn green as always), but the file button remains white no matter how much I press it. Best regards. Edit: Upon further investigation, it seems the problem only happens with a particular SID, either assigned by atc or by manually selecting it myself. With all other SIDs, my plan files fine. Could it be corruption with my navdata?

Hi Dave, I want to verify if this direct to behavior is correct. FYI, I went through the manual about this feature so i understood how it's supposed to work, and how to make it do what you want before i tried this. So basically, my flight plan was: KJFK (Runway 22R departure) NEION J223 CORDS ULW V31 GIBBE (Approach to runway 22 via vectors to KECKE) KROC. So first things first. Neither flight aware (for the flight i was duplicating) nor sim brief assign a SID out of JFK. I assume that's cuz ATC gives vectors out of the vicinity. So i entered the flight plan as stated above according to sim brief, and that all went in fine. When i went to fil…

Is there a recommended way of setting descent rates? As for example on Airliners the descent rate will change quite a bit due to the big changes in speed throughout the descent. For example on an A320 or 737 if I set the descent rate to 1500fpm the top of descent matches quite closely with the FMC's calculated TOD but the "pass WAYPOINT at " altitude for the STAR will be quite high. If I set the descent rate to 1200fpm I get called to descend much earlier, but the STAR waypoint passing altitude is much nicer. With 1200fpm I also tend to sometimes get vectored off the STAR, is this cause 1200fpm isn't enough to follow the STAR altitude restrictions? Thanks, …

Hi Dave. During a flight from EGGD Bristol to EGJJ Jersey I was given the following clearance. "Goldstar Seven Three Eight is cleared to Echo Golf Juliet Juliet, climb via the EXMO1Z departure , with the EXMOR transition , then as filed. Expect departure runway Zero Nine. Climb to Flight Level One Two Zero via the departure. Expect higher clearances Seven minutes after departure. Squawk Four Five Six Five". I was flying the PMDG 737 and had the FMC setup for an LNAV/RNAV departure to follow the SID. After departure I started the climb to the cleared FL120 but because of the altitude restriction of 6000 feet at EXMOR Pilot2Atc wanted me to descend down to 600…

I'm currently doing a trial of Pilot2ATC, and so far it's great. I've noticed, however, that it does not appear to be importing the assigned airline information for the gates. It does appear to be getting the routes and gate locations, names, and other data just fine - but the gate assignments appear to be ignored. I've double checked that the assignments are there in WED, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. Is this something that is not imported, or am I missing something when doing the import process? EDIT: This is for XP, btw. EDIT 2: Found out this is not yet supported. Looking forward to it.

Hi Dave With P2A connected I am unable to use Com 2 to get the ATIS at my destination. Is P2A not setup to enable use of Com 2 ? If P2A is not setup to handle Com 2 I assume I would have to use Com 1 and request a frequency change to get the destination ATIS and then return back to the original frequency. Is that correct? P2A seems to be overly sensitive to speed. I am flying the PMDG737 in LNAV/VNAV and the a/c has the speed restriction set to 250kts. I see a slight positive variation of perhaps 2 or 3 knots and P2A keeps telling me to reduce speed to 250kts. Is this normal? Regards Colin

Hi Dave I have just tried to fly the route again from EGGD to EGJJ. My clearance was as before "Goldstar Seven Three Eight is cleared to Echo Golf Juliet Juliet, climb via the EXMO1Z departure , with the EXMOR transition , then as filed. Expect departure runway Zero Nine. Climb to Flight Level One Two Zero via the departure. Expect higher clearances Seven minutes after departure. Squawk Three Six Four Zero" I flew the route but had a real problem when told to "Contact BRISTOL Radar Director on One Three Six Decimal Zero Seven". Although I selected the frequency and made it active, I had to try a number of times before the controller would respond. I have the…

Is there any way to add visual points to a flight plan? When I try to add as a waypoint I get a message that it’s not found in the database. VPLSR, VPLVT, etc. Also, I just updated to R5 today and now I’m getting TOD errors with my flight plans. Everything appears to be correct with my alt, gs, and vs, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Dave I have discovered that if I say for example "<Aircraft callsign> is ready for departure" instead of "<Aircraft callsign> ready for departure" then Pilot2Atc always interprets it as "<Aircraft callsign> ready to copy IFR clearance" and tells me to contact Clearance again. I know this is my problem but can you try this out yourself and let me know if you get the same result. Regards Colin
