    Hi Dave, I was wondering if adding custom maps would be a feature. The options that we currently have are perfectly fine, but I am pretty used to OpenTopoMap wich GARMIN uses in some devices and it would be nice to have it in PILOT2ATC to plan VFR. Thank you! Best regards,

    I saw the March 30 thread about VR and the FSDesktop partial solution, but I was wondering if there could be a feature to see the ATC dialog history in a textbox in VR. I have no idea if this is a FSUIPC thing or limitation or a really difficult thing to do. I would pay for that feature. I have not solved the puzzle to get "Insert Image from URL" to work with this forum. Else, I'm a loyal P2A user and in awe of Dave's magic.

    Trying to re-ramp up on PILOT2ATC.. I was at PADQ, looking at the taxi way, through PILOT2ATC. It looked a little strange. Is the objective to get to the end of the blue lined area before you will see the tower frequency in the stand-by? Thanks!

    I am trying to setup a joystick button for push to talk PTT… In the Set mode, I select the CH Products Yoke from the drop-down. For the joystick button PTT, it is detecting the button and I save it. But when I go to test it in the grammar section, when I press and hold the button, it doesn’t trigger the PTT. I went ahead and purchased the RTM version of FSUIPC7. I like to support Pete and John. In the manual, it states that you do this via FSUIPC. I had a problem at one time doing this on a networked machine due to Microsoft Security policy. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello, VR for sim flying becomes increasingly popular in my opinion. I exclusively fly in VR (Varjo Aero HMD) and I'm looking for a suitable ATC addon. Pilot2ATC looks impressive and it supports voice control and a co-pilot for frequency settings etc. So far so good! What is lacking is a VR interface showing the essential P2A screens (e.g. communication, routing map) necessary during flight to be enabled via the toolbar. Of course Navigraph is already present there. Very handy! I saw some demonstrations of captains having the entire PC virtual desktop on their virtual knees but I don't find that very appealing.     Hi Dave, When taking off on a SID which includes vectors, I often get the vector and then am told to proceed direct to Tango Uniform Romeo November (TURN), rather than the name of the waypoint I should be going direct to. As an example, I was on the SLAPP2 departure from KBUR, and after takeoff I was told "Turn Right Heading Two Niner Zero then direct Tango Uniform Romeo November", when it should say "direct to RAYVE" (the name of the next waypoint). I went direct to RAYVE and P2A proceeded on with the flight plan as expected, so it's not causing a major problem, but something that I thought you might be able to correct at some point.     Hey, While the rest works OK, P2A is not able to understand my ICAO alphabet right. I already did the whole language trainer and also train the ICAO alpahbet with the "Personal Grammer Traininng Phrases"-function several times. But it always recognize DELTA as BAKER e.g. I already try to train only these two words, try to speak very slow, very loud, etc. - but nothing helps... I`m german but set up my PC to english (US)...   8. Hey Dave! P2A keeps getting better and better, I thought I would put a request in for a feature down the road: Gate selection. Using the data MSFS already stores (and also MakeRunways etc has), ATC (or the user) should be able to reference/choose an arrival gate for IFR flights. This would allow additional planning for landing and taxiing since your departure taxiway and direction often inform what you do immediately after touchdown on the runway. Anyway, just a thought.     It may be user error but when using Pilot2ATC at UK airfields I cannot tune the correct frequency due to the decimal point not being correct... For example at John Lennon, Liverpool EGGP... MSFS ATC requires 121.955 but Pilot2ATC suggests 121.95...one number less and doesn't like 121.950 to be able to communicate.. Is it me lol

    Hello, new user here. I just flew a simbrief plan from KIAD to KJFK. ATC directed me to 22L to land but only asked me to descend down to 7000 ft by the time I was a few miles from the airport. Obviously, there wasn't enough time/distance to get down to 3000 which is what the ILS chart said I should be at. Is there a setting I need to select to get this changed so I get down to a much lower altitude earlier in the approach phase? hanks Bill

    Hello fellow sim pilots I don't fly without P2ATC, but, I am not a pilot IRL. Does anyone have any recommendations for what would be a good config for P2ATC that would most closely mimic real life procedures? For instance, do I pick my own SID, or does ATC assign that rather than me filing one in my plan? Do I pick my own approach and file that to ATC? I realise there may be few different opinions ion this and I'm not seeking perfection. Just a config that is good in the majority of cases to pretty much simulate what a pilot would do IRL.   15. Hi Guys, I don't use the microphone as I've never been able to get the program to accuralty understand my Australian accent and find its just quicker to use the SayIt command. That said, there are some commands I can't figure out using Sayit. For instance, I'm enroute from KIAD to SBGR at the moment, and need to request an enroute climb from FL320 to FL350. How do I do that? Clicking (either left or right) on the Request To Altitude doesn't give me the option to change <Altitude> as per below; I know with changing a runway selection when I can click on the command and it expands and gives me a box of runways to select from...but that doesn't seem…

  16. I'm using MakeRwys to import the scenery data from MSFS' 3rd party airports. Works fine in most of the cases. What I did notice, is that a) all hold short points are being imported as ILS hold short points, and also b) there are usually taxi points AFTER the ILS hold short point leading onto the runway. Now I know that a) and b) are against the documentation rules you give with P2ATC, BUT so far I've not noticed any problems with ATC. E.g. yesterday on an airport with only ILS hold short points and taxi points leading onto the runway thereafter, ATC said "Taxi to Runway Three Zero Via taxiways Foxtrot, Seven, Mike, Alpha, Hold Short Runway Three Zero". As mentioned in the title, I have experienced several instances in the past when the co-pilot "takes over" even though those options have been de-selected. In this specific instance (which has occurred more than once), I was monitoring the Speech panel settings while nearing the take-off runway as I taxied towards it.     A question about approaching and landing an airport. I correctly receive the clearance to start the descent and the approach procedure, which I execute perfectly. From this moment P2ATC no longer gives me altitude indications, for example: descend to FL100 or other altitudes. Is it normal not to have these indications? All multiple time. My mic works in everything else from zoom to call of duty to windows voice command.   20. I'm in Simbrief planning a flight from KLAS to KSFO. When I import my data from Simbrief, my procedures weren't copying inserting, so I went to manually insert them. Only to find that my SID (JOHKR3) does not exist, nor does any form of JOHKR. A googling makes me think the data being displayed is from around cycle 2103. However, you'll see in the screenshot, I have old SIDs and my AIRAC cycle is current. Same is happening for STARs. It's been doing this since I freshly installed everything on a new PC.

Hello, Really getting into this great piece of software, just a few niggles, and was wondering if there is a way to make the TEXT BOLDER when you hover the mouse pointer on AIRBORNE TRAFFIC on the map? If there is not a way, Dave wondering if this could be thought of as an implementation on future update? Reason, is i like to view possible 'Traffic' incursions by looking at details of aircraft that might be an issue for my flight path. If said aircraft is over land the text is blotted out by the land and other things on the map and is unreadable. If Bolder is not your chosen path Dave, could colour be changed to....     as simmers we are extremely demanding,We are quickly to criticize developers for programs not working to our standard and i think often we do not THANK those developers that continue to improve their product way after its initial release. i was on the fence about Pilot2Atc, but bought it and been using for two months and i am totally in love with it the more i learn about it the more i love it. so keep up the great work !!

  24. Whenever I ask for taxi to gate/stand, ATC never give me the correct one. I ask "request taxi to gate 3" and I get "taxi to gate 270" or something. Never the one I ask for... What am I doing wrong? I am checking the gates etc in Taxi Maint, and they exist...
