  1. Hi, It has been probably over a year now since I last used P2A, and I thought now was the time to 'master' all of its wonderful features. I have never used 'voice' through a microphone, but used the 'Say it' button and that worked fine when I last used it. So what have I done so far: Opened MSFS 2020 first, then Opened P2A, and imported a flight plan from Simbrief. Added SID, STAR and APPR. Validated the file, connected to the sim - all OK - although in the Speech box, I only got one line 'Connected to Sim'.     Hey Everyone Wondering what the best way to descend is: Flying to KACK from KTEB, assigned the Deepo 1 arrival. It has an expected crossing, but no hard speeds or altitudes P2ATC gives this direction: Descend via the DEEPO One arrival with the GON transition To One Two Thousand One Hundred Feet Altimeter is Two Niner Six Six JET SPEED Two Five; If you start descending right away, you reach that in no time. How to you gauge when to start and when to end up? Should you be at 12,100 at at Saldy? thanks for any advice

    Hi all, relative newbie here. I have just imported a couple of runways from MSFS2020, EGCC and EGSS as I noticed that the taxiways didn't quite line up with the chart overlay. Once imported all looked great but now when I get ATC taxi clearance it just clears me to the runway without any taxiways. If I undo the mod but restoring the copied files, it works again. Any ideas?     I am currently using the said version and I've noticed some huge issues with it. The cruise altitude from simbrief does not get picked up correctly. It just sits there at FL58. What's even worse is that I can't override it. No matter what I enter, it just stays at FL58. The whole flight plan gets planned with that altitude, nothing above: Pln Alt At FL058. ATC does clear me to higher altitudes though, usually FL75, FL100, FL120. However, they constantly harass me with "expedite your climb to LF120, despite me being exactly at that altitude with STD pressure. ATC also keeps telling me to reduce speed to 250 knots, even if they cleared me into the flight levels.…

  5. Hi, Does Pilot2ATC interact with FSLTL AI traffic? The ATC chatter is part of the immersion. I get the chatter with MS ATC but I'm looking for something better in terms of ATC handling of my aircraft. Thankyou

  6. Hello Dave 🙂 In the "Speech" options, Copilot Options/Changes Tranponder: if I check this option and I leave P2A, when I restart P2A, this option is not checked anymore. So its checked state is not memorized.

    Hi, at the moment I use Pilot2ATC with X-ATC-Chatter. When I talk to the ATC the Chatter gets muted as you know. If I would use the MSFS ATC as background chatter, is there a way to mute the atc while talking to P2A?

    Hi Dave, I have tried just about every thing I know (including reading the manual! :)) to figure out how to get taxi instructions after I switch over to ground when exiting the runway. Of the hundreds of flights I've done, I think I've maybe had two instances where the controller gets back to me with instructions; usually Ground just ghosts me. LOL What is the proper procedure to ensure I get taxi instructions after I land, inform the tower that I've exited the runway, and get handed off to ground? That's the only real issue I have with P2ATC - everything else works excellently! Thanks! Mark

It has been centuries(!!), that ATC on MS Flightsimulator's traffic around was recognized, controlled, and included in my own flight. Software engineers, what happened? So much efforts in both mentioned tools to come close to reality were done, but the main part is still missing.     I just purchased P2ATC the other day and have been slowly trying to figure it out. A few questions: I've noticed that when I read back atc instructions on the ground, i get no response, however if I use SAY IT after the voice says it, atc responds with readback correct. I'm reading from the same box and yet I get nothing. ATC seems to understand my requests. Sometimes I'll read back clearance instructions and the controller will respond with just altitude and squawk code, almost like it didn't understand me originally.     I'm a long time P2ATC user, but I've run into a problem that has me stumped. As of today, I cannot hear any controllers, or even the ATIS and although the PTT indicator turns green, it appears my voice isn't being picked up. When I go into the Voices tab, I can hear the "test" voices and when I go into the Grmr Help practice section, it picks up and replays the audio from my microphone. I haven't changed any computer audio settings since I last used P2ATC and am completely at a loss as to what the problem may be. Does anyone have any ideas? This is with MSFS2020 and Windows 10 if that makes any difference.

    I can't seem to get my joystick PTT button to work when P2A is minimized. It works fine when I am in P2A, but when I am in MSFS and P2A is minimized, I get no response. I am using an Xbox controller. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, thanks for the excellent software and serious updates. I have a suggestion. These days I fly mostly with SayIt / Speech Assistant rather than microphone. There doesn't seem to be logic about how the drop-down list is organized [or I can't see it, which is possible]. Each time I have to scout in the list where the item I'm looking for is, which is compounded by the fact the list is dynamic. For example on my current flight, I have first ArrivalRunwayRequest, then ToAltitude, a bit later I have a VFR item, then Flight Plan things, and the last item is again a VFR item.     From the Pilot2Atc manual: It would seem this information is wildly out of date, as this only pertains to FSX and P3D which does not apply to MSFS. As well, FSAeroData no longer offers this service. So this entry in the user guide seems to be years old at this point. What is the best way to update Pilot2Atc with current ARTCC data? As far as I can tell Navigraph doesn't provide frequency information, only the fir-uir boundary data. So this will need to come from another external source. Thoughts? Thanks for the help!

  16. Hello, I "customized" the taxiways and gates for EGKK (freeware from flightsim.to - a must have) within p2atc. When I check in taxi mnt the routes from "Gate to Runway" and from "Runway to Gate", everything looks fine, the little "needles" showing the corrcet (shortest?) routes. After loading MSFS (A32NX FBW) in C&D at a gate in EGKK, creating and loading a flightplan in MSFS and p2atc, I asked the controller for taxi to the active runway. Controller will not giving me an calculated route, he only advise me to "taxi to runway XX". Any idea whate can cause this unexpected behaviour?   19. As a retired computer science prof and GA pilot flying the C172 and C182 planes in the 90s, I have been using P2ATC for a few years now. Renting a plane is out of my budget, so sim flying is my way of enjoying the skies these days. My main focus is trying to replicate the navigation and communication routine that I used to do when flying for real. Although scenery is lovely, being able to simulate the "human interactions" while flying is what makes Pilot2ATC so impressive for me. With all of its maps and flight planning and so on, I find that simply minimizing the main screen of Pilot2ATC and letting it do its work in the background to be its strength. It is an …

    Hi all, For the 1st time, I tried to fly VFR with P2ATC. But...My flight was quite short and my departure and arrival airports had the same frequency. It is therefore impossible to ask to land ("No rwy 32 at this airport..."). The airfields involved were LFMK & LFCK. Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks!

  21. Hi there, Am having a small problem with the Flight levels. I download Simbrief flightplan which states FL360 but P2ATC always nominates FL370. Even clicking on FL at top of page does not manage to change it. Am I doing something worng? Is there a setting that needs to get changed? Looked everywhere in the config but cannot find anything.     i received a strange instruction while making an arrival into Montreal airport CYUL. The OMBRE1 STAR have three ending waypoints : LONNA (for rwy 24R), SLOKA (for rwy 24L) and MEGTU (for rwy 06R and 06L). I received instead an instruction to follow OMBRE1 to the GAUTI waypoint. But GAUTI is not part of OMBRE1 arrival. GAUTI is the first waypoint of the RNAV28. So I think the correct ATC instruction should be to follow OMBRE1 up to OMBRE (or OKOPO or MAIRE) waypoint followed by a direct (or vector) to GAUTI. With the instruction provided, its not possible to know when ATC expect you to leave the OMBRE1 star to proceed to GAUTI. And its quite confusing as you…

    I am using the same updated navigraph version on both the pilot2atc and pmdg 737. The Sid’s and stars are not matching up with each other. Some are in both and then others not. Kphx has a izzo Sid or something but none in pmdg fms? I deleted fs2crew navigraph and reinstalled but the same thing.

  25. Hi, I run Active Sky for P3Dv4 7410 in P3D 4.5 HF3 to fly with historical weather and have the option "ATC wind lock" on. It should set the wind speed at the target airport to a minimum of 6 kts to get a "stable" approach direction. In P2A, I set the weather folder to C:\...\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS_P3Dv4\Weather but it seems not to work: although ASP3Dv4 "Briefing" tab states LOWK RW28 as destination runway, P2A will guide me to RW10. Now I found that the files in the ASP3D weather folder have LOWK entries for VRB01KT, even in activeflightplan.txt, I find under the waypoint list LOWK with 238@1 (I assume this as wind direction and speed ?).
