I'm experiencing an issue with a flight plan from CYOW to CYYZ. The TOC is somewhat after the first STAR waypoint. I import the plan from simbrief successfully. It shows the cruise altitude of FL380 which actually shows up as the planned altitude at the TOD. The problem I'm experiencing is that the ATC stops giving climb instructions before issuing the one for the TOC altitude. I checked the log and I can see the rOnReachedNextClimbAltitude events followed by the NextAssignedAltitude indications for lower altitudes. When I reach the first STAR waypoint I see a rOnFirstSTARWaypointReached followed by "State Changed to: STARDescent" and the descent instructions. Then I…

  2. Just wanted to write this in case it gets indexed by google and gets found, or if anyone is searching the avsim forum regarding P2A, (or Pilot2ATC, Pilot 2 ATC, etc 🙂): I am really impressed with Dave's responsiveness and deployment frequency for beta versions of this app. His responsiveness to his customers, and the resulting iterative development, makes P2A one of the best supported addons for MSFS (and X-Plane). In a sea of abandonware (even from well known companies in flight simming), this has been a breath of fresh air. So, thanks Dave! I hope you're making at least a little money off from us and I am very happy with my decision to purchase P2A last year.

Hi NSZ (REDNOSE) does not appear to be in the database? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Air_Sweden 🙂

  4. When you fly VFR and want to land at a towered airport you usually say something like this: "Ocala Tower, Cessna N8141T, 15 miles to the north, with Yankee, to land" but when doing this in Pilot2ATC I don't get any response. Instead I tried to say "Ocala Tower, Cessna N8141T, to land" and then it worked. Am I doing something wrong or are these standard VFR landing requests not modelled in Pilot2ATC?

How do you properly randomize ATC-Chatter. It is not working for me. Thanks

I tend to use P2ATC as text based rather than using voice recognition at the moment. Is it possible to save a list of frequently used phrases? I've been trying to do this in ?+ but have not really been able to set it up. Is this possible at all? It would be really useful to have them to hand rather than having to navigate lists.

Hi, using 2.6.4.2 Beta5p1 I have ATC-Chatter installed etc, and the Randomize Chatter Play Order CHEKCED, but I am sure at every DEST airport in Europe I get the Irish guy controlling Runway 28... "cleared to land runway 28", "cleared for departure runway 28" Does anyone else NOT get random chatter? Thanks

  8. These seem fine. X-Plane also seems to happen too loudly around the P2A voices as well. Please let me know if there's any useful information I can provide.* *Note: using "headphone simulation" in MSFS fixes this, although it kills the internal cockpit sounds excessively (this is not P2A's fault) I can hear the ATC voices now. Guess I'll have to do something similar in X-Plane.

For several month, I use Sky4Sim to display ATC dialog in a VR window. recently it failed to work. I checked in the config, speech section and the Conversation Text File Path is enabled and the path is correct. If I try to open the ConversationText.txt file while doing a flight after several exchange with ATC (I hear ATC correctly), the file is always empty. Is this normal behavior that this file has no text when we open it during a flight ^

I am using beta beta 5k. My headphones have always been recognized in the past. They are on the list of "speech output devices". I have not had a problem with any other beta. Regards

  11. Here's the process I'm trying to attempt. I'm not knowledgeable enough for real world procedures to know if this is a thing, but here goes. I'm flying from KUIN --> KORD. 1. Here's my assignment page, which I feed into SimBrief. 2. Here's my SimBrief plan. 7000ft for a C208 seems reasonable. 3. Plan imported into P2A. Procedures are to be determined by P2A. Looking good. 4. Plan validated by P2A. All's well. 5. File plan. Everything goes pear-shaped. My flight goes from 7000ft to FL230. Service ceiling of the C208 is FL250, but that seems silly to climb all that way up just to come back down again. So how do I fix this? I can…

HI, when taking off from EKGG on rwy 26L and SID BOGN1X there's a lot of waypoints following with altitude restrictions. When getting clearance my initial FL is 130. Final is FL330. In the Pilot2ATC flightplan you can see the restrictions are 5-6000 ft all the way out to the English channel and 7 NM after BOGNA you can climb to your initial flightlevel. BUT - the ATC is nagging all the way from take off until I reach BOGNA that I should climb to FL130. Over and over again. It's annoying to say the least when the flight plan shows 6000 ft. The ATC should pause and wait in these cases. Almost every SID in southern England have these restrictions. Thank you,

  13. Hey guys, i am a huge fan of p2atc as it is the most advanced atc tool out there as of now and the past. But there is one thing that bothers me most right now (maybe others too?) It is the GUI being an external tool. Is it possible or are there any plans to somehow add a small plugin into Xplane, so it can also be a text based only ATC tool like the ingame one or 124th ATC or so? So we dont have to tab out every time to use a command. I am not using the voice commands, only the sayit feature. So it would be awesome to have a small plugin ingame

Hello togehther, trying to update my P2A with NAVDATA pro from AEROSOFT, newest cycle, I always get the below fault message. From another post here (page 15) I tried several of your hints (SQL renewing, etc) to no avail. What can I do else? I run on XPLANE-12. Thanks in advance for looking into the problem, Wolfgang

Returning to PIlot2ATC after a spell away from it. Pleased to find this version is recognising my speech much better (this may be a WIn11 thing as I set up the full voice recognition tool). My issue though is this - When I click on the standby freq to open the comm window, it launches to some invisible or off screen location. I've tried all the obvious fixes - ALT-Tab shows the window, but I cant interact with it to reposition. WIndows key and space does nothing. Nor is it hiding behind a full screen MSFS as I ran that in Windowed mode and minimised it. Most perplexing! I'm in Windows 11 and have a multi-monotpr set-up. My next step will be to disconnect…

  17. I am having some issues importing a P2A flightplan into MSFS. I create a plan in SimBrief, import into P2A and add SIDS / Stars / Approaches as required. (At this stage MSFS is already open waiting at the front menu) I then export from P2A to MSFS format, open the world windows and import the P2A flight plan. When the flightplan loads in the create flight window all of the Nav points are correctly listed (ie Rainy Pulox CS LOC10 etc). My problem is when I go to fly, the majority (but not all) of the Nav points in the FPL (and on the G1000 display) are labelled User1 User2 User3 etc. it definitely changes all the Fix point names of the Approach to the word USER, an…

Sometimes on longer flights I like to fast-forward either using the sim (fs2020) of VFRmap. When doing so it seems my pilot2atc no longer responds. As in I cannot grab a nearby frequency and do radio check or anything, I get no response. I even tried to reload the flight plan and get IFR clearance but I get nothing. Am I missing something? Sometimes I just do not have time to do a 4-5 hour flight and simply want to cut out the max alt travel.

  21. Windows 11 Pro MSFS 2020 latest updates FSUIPC 7 Fenix A320 updated Pilot2ATC updated, have licens Problem: I can't get respons from ATC when requesting clearence. I’ve tried multiple times and sometimes I can use ”Say It” but no response and sometimes no dropmenu to use. No matter what main airport I use. I have also turned off features in MSFS2020 according to instructions for FSUIPC7. And FSUIPC7 starts automatically when loading MSFS2020. I also have a mic installed and working. The voices works fine when testing in config. I will not use the speaking feature for commands, only dropmenus and "Say It". The copilot will han…

  22. Being able to send conversation.txt to two or more places would allow using MSFS or X-Plane in VR without having to change the configuration of P2ATC.* Thank you for your time. * Please disregard this post. I'm an ID10T and found a simpler solution that doesn't involve work on your part, or repetitious file generation on mine.

I already posted in another chat my frustration of not being allowed to properly uses Pilot2ATC with XP12. I am using the "workaround" temporary solution, but since three days ago, the connection has dropped out continuously while flying. I reconnected again, but a few minutes late, it lost again. So, impossible to use the P2ATC. I am using it over a network. The question is if anybody has made it possible to work both. Thank you very much, and have a good day. IPA

Hello Dave, Sometimes an inconsistency seems to be detected by P2A on a STAR and a message box is open, for example regarding altitude constraint. The problem is that this popup blocks all further conversation process. During a flight, P2A window is usually not visible, and in case of flying with a VR headset it's impossible to know that this popup raised, until you are about to reach the TOD without hearing the Expect approach data, and Descent message. So is it possible to find a solution on this? I would see two options: Change the popup message to a non modal window to avoid main thread lock suppress the mechanism and simply add a warning message in f…
