I have been flying with P2A for two weeks or so. The version I have is Pilot2ATC_Update_2700_x64_Beta7L. I've found that the program assigns altitudes to the different legs on the plan and that's fine. The cruise altitude is accepted but altitudes are added after the TOD. This is also fine but as the flight plan gets closer to the approach segment it gives me some doubtful altitudes. On one of my flights ATC had me descend to 3000 ft when I was 119 nm from the IAF. Certainly that is too low for a B738. The altitudes in the flight plan were good but ATC decided to send me low. I've owned P2A for some time, but have recently updated it and am trying to use it in X-plane. I took off from KSUS and on the tower frequency requested flight following to KCOU at 4500 feet. The response was "can't find the destination airport". I used my own voice and then used Sayit to make sure there wasn't a misunderstanding. In both cases I got the same response. "can't find destination airport" Any suggestions. Thanks Doug

I wont fly any where with out P2ATC but now we have the PMDG 737 the community has waited for. Many SWA flights out of Midway but you only show a unicom with no tower there... whats with that or have I mIssed something? PLEASE ADVISE jc

When using manual weather in X-Plane 12 there is no metar created to I wrote a FlyWithLua script to create a metar with the same time stamp for the file name and correct info in the metar file. It is working quite well but did find a issue when asking for active runway where it was not following the wind direction. Doing further research looking at the info tab I see that the Arrival runway does change with a change in the wind direction. When I look at the Departure runway it stays the same no mater what the wind direction is. As I have used Pilot2ATC for a very long while I am sure this used to work correctly and would be great to get it to work again. …

Hi Dave, 1) it seems like that - contrary to the climb phase - ATC will not give step descent altitude (e.g. "descent to FL 250", "descent to FL150", "descent to 5000 feet" etc.) but instead tell you to descend via the STAR and be at or above the IAF altitude in the end. This is not realistic for non-US airspaces. Could you at least make an option to change that, so it's like in the climb phase? 2) The initial altitude after takeoff seems to high in most cases, at least outside the US. E.g. in Germany initial altitude (also written on the charts most of the time) is about 5000 feet and it's same-ish in most of Europe and I think also the rest of the world. Could you…

Hi All, I'm trying to figure out why Pilot2ATC isn't giving me the same runway thats being used by AI on departure. I'm sitting at KLAX, with the wind 028/05, so slightly preferencing the 07/06 runways. This is matched by the SIM thats also got lots of AI departing and arriving those runways. After sitting here for about 10 minutes watching I load Pilot2ATc, and validate/file my flight plan - only to see its giving me a runway 25 departure. Makes no sense - The AI is clearly all using the 06s. I've got the setting for "MATCH SIM RUNWAY IF KNOWN" and can see from AICompanion that all arriving/departing AI are using 06/07. There are cirumstances, where it would save time/fuel to take off from an intersection of the runway other then the beginning. Especially with smaller aircraft (e.g. Cessna 172) I wont need a 4000m runway. Normally P2A directs me to the beginning of the runway. Could I just ignore this and take any intersection?

I've found that when I do multiple flights in Pilot2ATC, I need to close and reopen it otherwise it gets very confused. Even if I import a new flight plan over the existing one, it gets confused. Is this a known issue?

So after having issues with my PMDG 737 I had to remove and reinstall the aircraft. Since doing so and making no other changes to my usual workflow, my radio will no longer hold a frequency change. As soon as I go the ATIS, or Clearance Del., or any other frequency it makes the change and then immediately reverts back to ground frequency. Any ideas?

Doesn't show up in the sound mixer settings and there is no sound for the ATC voices. Ideas?

Hallo, I use P2ATC frequently both with XP12 and MSFS. I don't have issues witth any plane except the SSG 747 (version 2.7 for XP12, latest P2ATC beta). P2ATC doesn't seem to recognize the transponder mode. In other planes ist synchronizes, but with the SSG I only see numbers as modes in the P2ATC. For example if I set TA/RA in the SSG, P2ATC only reads "Mode 7". Does anybody have an advice how to solve this? Thanks in advance, Alexander

Hi Dave, What are your thoughts on integrating the map component of Pilot2ATC with Navigraph? Its nice being able to use the various types of maps you've got running in Pilot2ATC, but given the popularity of Navigraph, plus all the features that their charts have emebded, it would be a significant improvement. After the latest update I no longer get an option to play announcements automatically and have to make them all myself. Is it possible to auotomate thm again

Short description of the problem: flying P3D V4.5 with ASP4 and historical weather with explicit wind directions expecting runways according to ASP4 briefing P3D reads wind information from ASP4 including "ASP4 wind lock" (locks wind on airport to 6 knots in one direction) P2A gives me different runways as it doesn't seem to respect "ASP4 wind lock" problem exists since long time but I managed it by "pilot forcing runway" now analyzed current_wx_snapshot.txt and found different wind information as in ASP4 briefing So I thought about updating to ASP3D but want to be sure that this "bug" was fixed in the newer version. I am having an issue with the radio comms pop-up window whereby it always pops up behind the main P2A window and there is no way to move it. I can see the icon on the taskbar but clicking on it does not bring up the radio comms window. I do not experience this with the Nav radio window. What could be the problem?

Hi Dave I was flying from LGSR to LGAV today using the latest beta version and I kept getting an off course message (you are off course, turn left heading 255 to return to course) but I was right on the flightpath, the messages were constant and very annoying! I'm still in the Trial. I just completed a flight from KDFW to KMEM. The HOBRK THREE STAR has several altitude and speed restrictions. P2ATC did not command a descend neither it allow me to start one on my own requesting Enroute Descent. I overshot every single one of the restrictions. Then, the STAR calls for "vectors". P2ATC never gave me one, then kept bitching when I started my own vectoring to final. I tried switching to tower and then ground. Even when taxiing to the gate, the Ground frequency kept telling me to climb to 3000. Of course, this is only my 5th flight with P2ATC so, Am I missing something? Did I do something wrong?

The volume is way too low even when maxed out. This is really obvious in VR and I have to turn down MSFS to like 20% in order to hear ATC.

I see on the P2Atc web page "Text interface allows communications without voice" listed under features. How does this work? I searched the manual but can not locate that section? Thanks

I just downloaded and installed Pilot2ATC. I am trying a flight from DFW to MEM. I got my clearance, I got my taxi, after trying all 5 DFW GND freqs. but when I get to the runway, I tried all 4 TWR freqs and I cannot get a reply on any of them. What am I doing wrong? How do I know what frequency should I use?

All of a sudden i have a huge lag with P2A after I file a flight plan. And the lag is even worse after some time. For example, i have checked 10 minutes ago with a new control center and i was geting a respond after 10 minutes. Is this MSFS or P2A problem cause it is really annoying?

Aviation sectional charts no longer display after moving pilot2atc onto a new computer. Adobe Reader DC is installed on the C drive, designated the default program for pdf's. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
