Hello Im getting terrible FPS with P3D V3, and I have a highly new pc with new components: I7-6700k @ 4.5 GHz GTX 980 TI 16 GB RAM 1 x 240 GB SSD, 1 x 500 GB SSD When I still had P3D v2.5, I could run it with all addons (REX 4 clouds, ASN, Majestic dash 8, ftx global/vector/openlc/ftx regions) at around 40-50 fps on high settings. I've applied the same settings to P3D V3 now and I cant get anymore than 16 FPS, it doesnt matter what setting I change it always gets to about 16 FPS, its like something is limiting my FPS but I've selected unlimited FPS with Vsync as I have a 144 hz monitor with nvidia G-Sync. Hi Everyone, Well, after numerous hours of testing I have found the problem for the 90% reduction in frame rates when in surround mode using multiple monitors with P3D3, well on my system anyway. Would be interesting to see if others get the same bump in performance trying the same thing. Here is what I found, If I run P3D3 on my system: 4790K 4.0ghz (no overclock) with an Nvidia configuration (3-Titan X's) setup as Span Displays With Surround and in Full Screen Mode, I get about 11 fps no matter what I do with P3D3's sliders. I just installed FTX Global for V3 and it looks great! However, autogen seems to be the limiting performance factor. Most of my settings are high (One notch left of full right), except for water (low) and Tree and building autogen (normal). In 2.5 I had autogen on dense and was yielding similar performance results. I'm running a 4790k with HT off and no AM setting. The first core is (as to be expected) running at about 90-100% and the other three are running anywhere from 15-40%. I'm on vacation and can't wait to get home to try v3. I would like to know if any1 can confirm that the best (and only?) force feedback stick still works with P3Dv3? If not I need to order a new stick/yoke asap.

Anyone found a trick to work around the fact that the ATC window does not show in P3D V3 PMDG planes? How do you go somewhere and check in to land?

I searched for some time and apologies if foolproof instructions are to find anywhere yet. I can't get FSUIPC to be set up properly to allow my Saitek X52 throttle to go into reverse. Tried all recommendations but there must be something I miss. Any volunteer out there who wants to try explaining it? Thanks

I noticed my C drive with the SSD is running low on space after the P3DV3 install (I installed P3D on a larger tB SSD) But its caching some scnery install files within a folder Program Data C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{3F2CF900-1437-4F93-9ABF-07B8B80E37DA}v3.0.10.14945 It has Install_scenery.msi scene1.cab scene2.cab .. .. scene6.cab taking up about 8Gigs of space Can I move this folder or the file to another drive? After a complete fresh install of P3Dv3, I get right after the first start a list of error messages for a GPS, that seems to be identified as fs9gps. the entries look like: error=Gauge/Script Errortype: GaugeName: gps_500error [different extensions] Can this be the result of something I've done wrong, or is this a bug in P3Dv3? In case I did this myself, what did I do wrong and how can I fix it? In case this is a bug in P3Dv3, do I have to wait for LM to fix it, or can I do it myself and if so, how should I do this?

Rather than post in the Tips section I thought I'd add this here until we've achieved consensus. I'm surprised how well it worked in 2.5, improving the smoothness on my rig, which was pretty stutter-free to begin with. No reason it shouldn't work with V3 (or FSX for that matter) The Nvidia driver set includes a number of elements by default. I'll use the current WHQL set (355.98) as the example I've just disabled the HD audio driver in Device Manager and seemingly resolved a conflict with other drivers I am sure most simmers just settle for the default installation and accept what gets installed. I have changed my graphics card to GTX 960 and realized that more important thing is a constant fps rate rather than fps value itself. On my newer machine I get the same fps number, but it is steady, with no drops and it feels just very different. So, back to the point - here is a brief tutorial how to use VfrFlight (http://vfrflight.org) to track your fps number during the whole flight, so you can try to nail down your stutters. I recently bought the TrackhatClip Pro for use with P3D after seeing Froogle's review of it. I have additionally all but given up with the ridiculousness of the Ezdok installation and am going to switch to Opus. Is anyone using the TrackHat Clip/Opus combo in V3 successfully ?

Hi! It probably exists hundreds of threads like this, but we all got different hardware. So i want to improve my FPS when flying. I currently have FTX Norway and AoN installed as sceneries, and i fly with the RealAir Duke v2 and Majestics Q400. I also use Active Sky Next. But im noticing my fps is very low when flying the Q400 in Norway (ENGM is the worst) and i drop down to around 12-17 during takeoff and climb. And it all feels very "slow" when looking around in the aircraft. My hardware is the AMD Radeon R9 200 card and the AMD FX-8350 Black Edition cpu. For config tweak i already use the [JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMask=84. Is the value too high, or maybe too low? …

Hey, I am trying to install some addon scenery, more specifically Airports of Norway. So i made a folder called "Addon Scenery" where I added all the files, but the scenery doesn't show in p3d. Anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

Hello guys, as this is my first post here I want to thank you for the great work here. I already found a lot of solutions for my problems. But the one I have now is not described anywhere. Yesterday I decided to switch from v2.5 to v3. I was using v2.5 with PMDG 777, ASN, REX Overdrive HD (only for textures), MyTraffic 6 (and PFPX for Flightplanning). I did uninstall P3D and PMDG products first, then did a clean install of v3, installed PMDG 777 afterwards, then the -300 addon. Then I updated ASN to the v3 Beta. Does anyone know how to make cloud shadows a bit darker in v3? Also vegetation shadows are very pale. Took a look in ShadersHSLS folder, but can't find reference values in shadows.* files. Help? Much appreciated!

What are the tweeks that we can use for this file?\ 1) to reduce blurries 2) to reduce stutters anything else?
