Does anybody know if LM are planning on introducing full screen mode? I have x-plane and I have to use 1/2 refresh rate locked at 30FPS to maintain a smooth sim otherwise I get tears and skipping. The same applies when I used to use FSX. (*p.s NOT Stuttering, just non smooth flights, skipping. And it ruins the immersion) I did own P3D v2.5, but due to this I never used it. I am unable to set my monitor to 30HZ (its a 60HZ monitor). So the only solution really is true full screen mode? Ian

It looks REX have released update for REX4 and Soft clouds, but asking for the Beta Release Code. Hope v3 support added.

For those of you who have been suffering stutters and lag with your G-sync NVIDIA did the honors for us today with a hotfix, i tried it and its sweet now, also if you use a gaming mouse like me i run an 8200 dpi and it created terrible lag over the P3d menu`s, which is also fixed. Prepar 3D v3 Default airplanes This happened after I installed FSUIPC. Will the repair function fix this? Or need a full re install?

Just installed P3Dv3 and need help connecting TrackIR5. I have installed the latest version 5.2.200 but when I start up P3Dv3 there is no head tracking in the sim? It works in the Naturalpoint UI but non-responsive in P3Dv3. I have read about installing the SDK which I have done but not sure exactly what needs to be done with the SDK files to get TrackIR working. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I can't seem to find much info on this online, but a common issue i'm having during a longer flight is that suddenly p3d v2.3 will crash to the desktop with the error surrounding atc.dll. Im running windows 8.1 U1 x64 (not using compatibility mode), with UAC enabled (not running fsx as admin.. its installed on another drive letter). I've stripped down my dll.xml to pretty much just FSUIPC at this point, so i'm unsure its anything there.. maybe related to an addon.. I'm unclear what causes this dll to crash or what it relates to? (I've also gotten window.dll crash and d3dcsx_43.dll (this one when changing scenery settings), once an msvcr100.dll and another …

I I believe this was posted here before...there is a program that reduces the size of textures for addons (planes / scenery) to alleviate the memory burden and improve performance. It was automated to scan the directory for certain file types and reduce their size. Does anyone know the name of this program?

I want to uninstal Prepar 3D v2 When I installed v3 I used the same folder Lockheed Martin. So it was Lokcheed Martin with 2 sub folders, Prepar 3D v2 and Prepar 3D v3, that wasnt good because when intstalling add ons sometimes will go to prepar 3D v2. Now everything has been deleted and uninstalled except for Lockheed martin folder, which contains Prepar 3D v2 subfolder that cannot be deleted either, because windows says it is being used by other program. So until I cannot delete either Prepar 3D v2 or Lockheed Martin folder I cannot reinstal prepar 3D v3 Any ideas how to delete this folders?

To get a Prepar3d v3 refund or not, that is the question. I am getting less sanguine about being a beta tester than I once was. If I buy a product, I expect it to work, right out of the box...not to have to tweak the sxxt out of a purchase just so it kinda works as advertised. I definitely buy by word of mouth, from those I have come to respect and trust...that only makes sense. hey , When the aircraft turns i notice (while looking out the window ) the terrain textures(visible just outside ) are slowly loading up , its not blurries per se but i can see that there is a slight lag or there is slow terrain texture loading occurring . I tried with scenery complexity /autogen all three sliders set to zero and still this problem occurs. Tried changing aircrafts also (to less complex ones). Hi people, i´d like to know if you can help me. Since yesterday, i found that almost all my effects within P3Dv3 are missing. Let me elaborate this: the effects folder is in it´s place and the .fx files (And respectives textures) are in the correct place. The files structure is correct. What i miss is inside P3d, flying: there is no more touchdown smoke, engines smoke, some lights, etc. What is most intriguing is that some effects still show as rain, wet spray and wash but the most part is missing. There is no black or white boxes that indicate missing effects, they just don´t show up and that´s it. The lights are acting strange too, they are smaller or complete gone in s…

Because the Ifly is not compatible with P3Dv3 I took a renewed look at the Project Magenta software which I owned since 2003... PM is still in business and updating their software constantly. While they are now more in the professional market ( e.g. : Flight Sim Center ) it is still for sale to us, the common people. Very high price tag ; more than ProSim, but the moment I installed it it was like wow ! Supersmooth flightdisplays, without the slightest jitter. They even have a custom designed 737-800 Flightmodel for free for their customers.... Anyway , I am very happy to fly again and now with P3Dv3.

Sorry if this is in the wrong board. I am having a FPS issue with the NGX atm. I am getting 8-10 FPS while in the Aerosoft Airbus & PMDG T7 i get 25-30. Havent messed with any pmdg settings or anything as I mostly fly Airbus, but I'd like to fly some 737 with more than 8 FPS. Thanks. -Chris

Hi Guys, I am currently running P3D 2.5, but after reading about all the improvements I chose to upgrade to V3 in the near future. But I got a little confused while thinking about mesh, autogen, landclass and regions.... In P3D2.5 I am using FSS Global 2010, ORBX Global Base, ORBX Vector, ORBX Open LC Europe and NA, several ORBX regions like Pacific Fjords and more of them. For V3 I am thinking about getting GEP3d for autogen and ground textures because of its stunning looks. I learned, that I must not use ORBX Global Base wit GEP3d. So far, so good. But is it necessary/possible/ would you suggest to use ORBX Vector, ORBX Open LC and all of the ORBX regions? And…

Got FSX SE all tweaked and loved it, that is until I got PD3 V3. I have tried all the previous versions of PD3 and returned them all in favor of the good old FSX sim but this PD3 version, V3, is something else again. After tuning V3 and using it for a day or so I decided to download the AXE (Airbus bundle). I started up PD3 V3 and FSX SE one at a time with the Bus on the runway at Des Moines. All sliders maxed in SE and most sliders maxed in V3. First the color and brightness of V3 just plain kills SE. V3 looks like daylight and SE looks like a dull winter day even with clear sunny settings. V3 just has better color and a much brighter life like look. …

Hello everyone. I finally got the V3. After reading many reviews about the improvements in V3, I was so excited to try it. I have no addons installed, only PMDG ngx . All vanilla, fresh install of V3. I loaded a flight with all default settings, I was getting stutters. Then lowered my settings in sim, and made some changes in NV inspector, it became better. But the problem is, I see %99 of GPU load all time, while CPU is around %40 and %50. I've got a FX6300 OC'ed to 4.2 and factory OC'ed 660Ti. I'm thinking about the Affinity Mask setting, will it help? And is it normal using %99 of GPU with low-mid settings with my gpu? Thanks

For you guys already running P3Dv3, has there been an improvement to how rain and snow are depicted and the notorious "tunnel" effect or is it still as bad as in previous versions?

Hey Folks, Just trying out P3D for the first time . Apologies if this has been answered in a previous thread but I couldn't see it. Does one use Nvidia Inspector for P3D? , and if so could someone be kind enough to post a picture of their settings? I have an i7-4790K and a GTX 980 ti. In the P3D settings I have selected 4 x AA ,16 x Antroscopic , HDR off, vsync on, locked at 30fps, no triple buffering. I do have hyper threading on, should this be off Also am I right in saying that the only .cfg tweak one should use is FFTF=0.1 under [MAIN] Many thanks Dave (and apologies for so many questions)

I had all of my addon aircraft (PMDG,Coranedo) in the simobjects/Aircraft folder and today on startup they were moved to simobjects/Airplanes and would be recognized by P3D. Anyone else have this?

I realised I have no shadows in my VC nor the exterior plane. I have a nvidia gtx 770 with the last drivers installed. Shadows enabled (cast and receive), and shaders rebuilt. I installed Rex 4 Texture direct HD + soft clouds. This could be taking the shadows away. Any clue about this issue? Regards, Néstor Díaz

Hi - I was wondering what the 2 Tonemap_Exposure settings in the main .cfg accomplish in P3D v3? It has a day and night setting but I'm not sure what this setting effects....does anyone know?? Thanks! Eric
