Hi! Couldnt find a unofficial section for REX, so im just gonna ask here. Im running P3D v3 btw. So i just purchased REX 4 Texture Direct and combined it with Soft Clouds. I found a theme and installed it. But a error shows up (part of it are in norwegian, sorry about that) That is one of the errors. What have i done wrong? and what causes this problem? Edit: "Prosessen får ikke tilgang til filen C:\REX Texture Direct\installlog.txt fordi den brukes av en annen prosess." is translated to "The process can not access the file C: \ REX Texture Direct \ installlog.txt because it is used by another process ."

Yes I lost almost all my default P3D v3 aircraft from the selection list tonight. Anyone seen this happen? Only a few remain (these exactly): Vertavia helicopter, the Civilan avatar, Robinson R22, Submarine Ohio Class, Submersible I just got v3 today and haven't installed much so I'm not too troubled yet but I'm wondering what happened. I just started P3D tonite (my PC was shut down from eariler today!)

Hi guys, I'll be buying P3D V3 very soon and in the past when I used FSX I used the EZDOK camera addon. I don't have FSX or any other version of P3D or EZDOK installed on this new system, so exactly how easy is it to install EZDOK into a fresh installation of P3D v3? Is this difficult, or is there an easy way to do it? I've read a lot of forums and other posts from people saying they've had a lot of problems in trying to get it working correctly? Any advice would be great guys! Thanks1 -Yorkie

I am using v3 and I have noticed that sounds from other programs are affected when I am in the sim.... For example vPilot, GSX, Google Chrome - (Youtube)... Also any video/audio stream fails to work which directly effects my ability to use vPilot to connect to VATSIM (They can hear me but I can't hear them). Teamspeak is the only program that usually goes unscathed (although it is affected occasionally) I have done alot of testing and at this point I know it isn't my computer trying to cope with the demands from P3D, So far I have encountered this issue on two setups 1. (i5 3570k and GTX 970) and now the issue occurs on my new (current) setup 2. (i7 6700k and GTX 9…

Maybe it's my old brain cells rebelling but, IIRC, when V3 was first announced there was a post/discussion by someone (LM?) that the old layering priority system had changed. It used to be that regardless of position in the scenery library that P3D would use the highest mesh available etc. I seem to recall reading that this has changed but I cannot seem to find any further info on it. If I recall correctly that means that the ORDER in which you have the scenery listed in the scenery library WILL affect what gets loaded - sort of LIFO - last in first out Anyone else recall that? Thanx, Vic

We all have to decide at one point how far we go to equip our PC home cockpits with additional flight simulation hardware. Yoke, Rudders and Throttle Controls are mandatory (if you are not planning an airliner auto-land ;-). Now, what options do we have: 1. We could spend $$$ and build a hardware cockpit of our favourite aircraft. Maybe the best option for haptic simulation, but then you would be limited to one particular aircraft type. 2. Exclusively fly within the virtual cockpit (VC) of your addon aircraft. On the plus side: every button is at the right place and you are part of a real looking cockpit. The negative side might be that buttons and knobs are o…

Hello. I am planning to buy airports, and go deeper into ORBX's scenery (vector, open LC). Will I have to delete airports before I install add-ons from ORBX? If I do delete airports (FS Dream Team, flytampa, aerosoft, drzewiecki), will I be able to reinstall them? Do airports themselves have some sort of a license? ORBX, for example, has a scary EULA saying that only a single license can be used on a single computer, and I don't want to invest in these "one-shot" things (that is, if I understood the EULA correctly) Thanks!

Hello, I currently use Scenery Config editor to enable or disable scenery in the scenery library and at the same time I use FTX AEC to correct for elevation issues on various add on sceneries. My question is, should all the scenery library be active in order for FTX AEC to work or having entries disabled in the scenery.cfg via Scenery config editor would not matter?

Thinking about buying this one and installing with the MT due to lack of native P3D installer. I have read a lot of complaints that this scenery used to be OOM hog in FSX times. Has anything changed since those days? How operatable it is now in P3D with acceptable settings such as Normal Autogen and LOD 4.5 Thank you

I'm unable to do it. Shift+Z, once or repeatedly, has no effect. Someone here mentioned something about the "standard.xml file". I looked in it and found the following entry <Entry><Key>SHIFT+Z</Key><Down>READOUTS_SLEW</Down></Entry> which references Shift+Z, but the rest is greek to me. I'm out of altitude and airspeed on this one. Anyone have a suggestion of how I can get it working?

I own UTX 2.0 USA which was made for Prepar3D but I really would like to give the rest of the planet a face lift also, particularly the Tropics and Mexico as Southwest is now flying there more frequently. I see they have a nice looking UTX Tropics product but I am wondering if it can be put into Prepar3D successfully? I can't seem to find an answer on their official forums. Anyone install any of the FSX only UTX products in any version of P3D? I have the migration software which is now V3.0 aware and quite capable of shoving FSX products into P3D v3.0 (much to the groaning tears of LM and their fanatic knights of righteousness )). I just want to be sure it w…

Hi. I recently downloaded the trial to the new Flightbeam scenery KSFO HD, and found that when loading the scenery that there were no buldings present. Only jetways etc. Some quick googleing revealed that this is a common problem and is most likely related to antivirus program that detects couatl and addon manager as spyware. http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2130 However, it happens to be that I don't own any virus programs (yet), so I don't know whats causing the issue. I also checked my firewall settings and neither couatl nor addon manager are blocked somehow. I had to reinstall addon manager though to get it working again. Any ide…

Win 8.1, 4770k, Titan, 4k monitor. Microstutter: Fixed it by using Nvidia driver 337.88 instead of the latest one. (just me having trouble with that driver?) Autogen popping up late: Fxed by turning on hyperthreading (are you guys using that?) 1-2 sec freezes: I can live with that… (until Skylake I guess). Blurry textures: This is why I have my finger on the "delete P3D button"! I find this so irritating that I can not use Prepar3d. Better use that expensive SSD space for something else. I had the same problem in 2.3 (never used 2.4) Textures loading really slow. Changed the affinitymask in task manager everytime i started Prepar3d and it was f…

Been following the P0 GPU state, with Water's ULTRA setting, and read from Beau...that no matter WHERE, you are in the flight sim world, CUDA will be engaged, and taking a performance quota...no matter whether you are on dry land or not, whether you are flying over dry land, (in a desert for goodness sakes!) or above water bodies....if...the Ultra setting is engaged!!! The simply solution, would be to keep your highest water rendering setting to no more than HIGH as your generic, but, if you wish to land upon a water body and enjoy the 3D waves...merely set to Ultra and then carry on flight operations. As soon as you take off from that water body, take the few second…
