Hello folks, I have been impressed so far with P3Dv3 and its improved VAS management. Over the weekend I did get some OOMs, flying the PMDG777 from AS EGLL to FT OMDB. I recently added FTX Vector and thought it might be these that toppled it over. I have the P3Dv3 settings up fairly high, following Rob's guidelines. For vector I only have primary and secondary roads ticked (no underlays etc) and everything else ticked except frozen water. So a couple of questions: 1) Have folks experienced OOMs since installing FTX Vector 1.3? 2) Which vector options cause high VAS usage? 3) Which of the settings in P3Dv3 most influence VAS i.e. which settings should I play with…

Just a quick one guys n' gals, I'm still relatively new to the scene and don't yet know of all of the developers out there who are working on projects at present. So my questions is - aside from Alabeo & Carenado (whose AC I really like but I already know what they're working on), are there any other exciting looking developments of GA aircraft out there, by other developers, for P3D? Greetings, I've been a long term FSX user since its release several years ago. Yesterday, I suffered a catosoprohic Windows 7 and FSX failure. I have restored both after several hours. Unfortunately, very little is as it was. Active Sky Next (ASN), FSUIPC and the very dreaded Simconnect don't work. It has been three years since I have had this level of frustration and thought maybe the time is right for a clean cut to P3D. I have not considered P3D at all until now and almost know knowledge of the product. My question is - Does P3D involve the same level of frustration? Hello, So after several months of umming and ahhing I'm now set on giving Prepar3d a go! Over the years of using FSX there was a regular theme of must have items or cfg tweaks. Is there anything similar I should know before firing up P3D for the first time? For example, fsuipc and Bojote's cfg tweaker spring to mind. To put it honestly, I'm looking for a lazy idiots guide. Finally, this is my computer spec, anyone with similar care to report on performance? i7 940 @ 2.8 O/C to 4GHz Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600 ASUS P6X58D-E MoBo 1280MB MSI V801, GTX 470 x 2 (SLI) Some from of SSD Many thanks, Mike

IFR flight plan, vectors to an ILS and the last vector leaves me parallel to the ILS about a mile, make it impossible to intercept. Happenend twice. Also on an IFR when they give you the last vector they tell you to report airport in sight? You start the ILS follow the glideslope and ATC starts saying you are 300ft below your assigned alttitude, and continues saying it all the way to touch down. Is there an alternate ATC program that works good? (Do not have the time to setup online gaming)

So we had to reset flags and recompiled bgl's for FSX AFCADs to work in 2.5, is there a guide or anything different for installing them into V3 and if not where exactly do AFCADS go? Cheers!

Anyone have Orbx objectflow working in v3? I installed Pago Pago and it works but objectflow seems to have a problem.

Hi, im using P3D v3 and i recently installed 3 monitors and i do have some troubles setting them up. Im using a GTX960 with 3 seperate monitors in the NVIDIA controlpanel - so no Sourround Spanning is used. The middle Monitor runs at 1920x1200 and the other two (left and right) at 1920x1080. When im running P3D I change the window size of P3D so that the window is one big window spanning over the 3 monitors. Everything´s fine till now, but when im loading a plane im way too close regarding the zoom level. it is at 0.3 which works in single monitor mode perfectly, but on the 3 TFTs im way too close "in the cockpit", so that i can either see whats going on …

Since installing Obex FTX England, I have just noticed that my aircraft, has colisions with 'nothing' whilst taxing. Or it crashes into a building, from loading up in P3D. I did a test flight at Gatwick, and this happend. The scenery looks great, but the bug is going to be annoying. Are there any solutions to this? I am using p3d V3, but I am not sure if you can turn off colisions with buildings? Best regards Jools

I notice some airports are having elevation problems and running Vector AEC can correct some by disabling AEC for that airport, but not all airports that need correcting are available in AEC list. How do I correct elevation problems for those airports?

I need an AC with a GS in Nav1. ​ Almost no default AC have glide slopes and none in Nav 1 spot, why? I remember FSX with this feature.

All all. I was wondering if, Gatwick 2000 Extreme V3 will work with P3D v3, and are there any installers? I looked at their website, but it isn't clear if thery do the scenery for P3d V3? If there is a better Gatwick scenery? I would like to buy this, if you have any suggestions? Also I have Ezdok for Classic FSX. I finally had time to load and test P3dV3 and I am quite impressed on how smooth it runs. I managed to load NGX and as always a dream to fly. MT6 loaded fine. But I am having extreme issues with all three of these; A2A-172, Cherokee, and Carenado 337 Skymaster. I am not sure what happened but all of these are not flyable. They all pull hard right down the runway and then also on climb. I also installed Twin Otter Extended before them and I did not have any issues but I forgot to test the Otter once again after installing the others. I have tried to correct the issues by unchecking Gyro and also setting the controls to easy mode and still they pull hard! …

Hi everyone, I hope this is in the correct forum thread, if not please let me know as I was unsure which one to put it into. Basically I have started using P3D v3 now as my main form of training and education for flying. I mainly use the 737-800 but I'd like to learn the basics of what everything means, and I was wondering if there is any such thing as an "official guide" or way of learning everything I'd need to know? After moving to p3d, almost had to reinstall fsx just so I could get hold of those easy and reliable fsx gauges for usual stuff, landing gear, flaps etc for use on second screen. I always use 2d panels to augment info from barely visible VC instruments. Found freeware PFD that had lots of functions, but tends to lag during heavy cpu load like when landing, managed that, till comes along Airrmanager Simply put, its a library of often used gauges, flaps, gear, various pfd, mfd etc. Here is the winner, select gauges and it connects to p3d live, cant get any easier than that, cause it works on windows, connects to p3d. gauges remember postilions, so once your …

Shockwave Lights Just so you are aware, Shockwave lights have a texture problem in P3DV3. They did not have this problem in V2.5. A transparent black square forms the background for every light. I've tried every which way under the sun to fix this to no avail. Jim
