Last night from Manchester I experience very hard takeoff on P3d V3 where the speedtape of the NGX start getting crazy and I saw literally shifting side effect in the cockpit. I don't have ezdock or opus installed. What is the best solution to lower this exaggerated effect? smoothing in FSUIPC or lowering value with ASN. What setting should I use in ASN. Thank's for any imput

Hi guys, I'd like to move my P3D installation to a new drive on it's own, and I know FSX does have it's own registry repair tool etc... However P3D as far as I know does not have a tool like this, so I have 2 options: 1) Find a way to move the installation to a new drive without corrupting everything 2) Just uninstall and re-install it onto the new drive If there's a way to do the first option I'd really like to try, but would it just be simpler to reinstall? I do have a lot of addons etc that would also need to be re-installed etc etc... Any advice guys? Cheers! -Yorkie

Hello everyone: I like to set my weather visibility to around 20 NM. I have a lower end CPU and this helps with FPS. Right now, every time I fly I have to go into the world/weather settings page, then customize and select the 20 nm distance I want. Is there a cfg file setting I can adjust so this always will be set when I run p3d? THANKS -Stampee

hi all i have been running p3d v2.5 in full screen, so the sim take up the entire sceen for over a year. this weekend when the sim loaded in full screen it just glitched and went in to a small screen in the middle of my monitor, i clicked the expand tap at the top right, i get full screen but im stuck with the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, i have tried alt+enter but i cant get true full screen??? any ideas ?

I am using P3D V3 and I recently bought and installed the following: FTX Global FTX Open LC Europe FTX Trees HD When flying the textures were all blurry and there seemed to be no trees, I have nearly all the sliders to the right and Orbx trees and FTX trees ticked within FTX central. The blurry textures got a lot better after updating graphic card drivers but still no trees. The only trees are around third party scenery like UK 2000 or Aerosoft, any idea…

I've discovered a small problem in P3D regarding the AI traffic labels. Trying to figure out the autoland on the Aerosoft Airbus. I get to the final leg and heading straight to the runway but sometimes the bus will not descend and instead just flies over the runway. I have Loc and Glide Slope indicated, both autopilots on, copilot saying we have a lock but then the Glide Slope capture fails and I don't descend. I found I can force it to capture the Glide Slope if I set altitude at 100 but looking for the correct way. I know I am doing something wrong here but not sure what. Pic below shows settings for autoland that I am using.

Now here's a funny thing: I had England already installed and use UTX Europe for Landclass and vector features, not FTX Vector. Flying out of Bellegarde (LFBL) in France, with no changes whatsoever to scenery library or sequencing I now see many more cultivated fields, far less scrub, and better definition of townscapes and cities with Wales and Scotland added. My guess is that Wales and Scotland added those textures, which are then picked up by the landclass UTX Europe uses. …

We all know that we have to use a workaround to make EZDOK work with GSX in P3D.That means you have to push the GSX menu hot key again once you selected a GSX service, otherwise EZDOK changing views stops working. Now I have a similar problem with Scenery Object Driven Engine (SODE) that is more and more used in new sceneries. Hitting the TAB-S key combination to open the SODE windows makes EZDOK keys to stop working. The above workaround for GSX (hitting the key combination again) does not work for SODE. At present, I cannot really use SODE-animated jetways (such as the ones in Aerosoft Rome), because EZDOK keys will not work anymore. Joystick keys remain working…

Hey all, any other VATSIM clients out there that work with P3 v3 other than vPilot? Having difficulties with the matching of models and throwing errors at me every few seconds. Kinda annoying to hear that over the headset non-stop.

Is the difference in performance worth it?

Hi all, I am using P3D version 3. At my add-on airports, specifically FSDreamteam LSZH, Aeroosoft EGLL, and UK2000 EGJJ, I get double runway edge lights. What is apparently the lights from the add-on are there, but just next to it there is another set of lights that looks like lights from default scenery. I don't have double taxiway lights though. Can someone please shed a light to my problem (no pun intended)? And any steps to correct my double runway lights is appreciated. Kay

Hi! I installed Active Sky next with the SP4 to get it to work with P3D V3, but somehow it really screwed up the "flight dynamics". Its hard to explain, but its like the airplane locks up for a few seconds in a turn and then suddenly catches up by sliding sideways through the air. It looks kinda like slewing. I have tested it in and out and it happens with every aircraft, with and without joystick. It only happens when i have active sky running. I just recorded two short scenes to show what i`m talking about. So I've recently got UTX 2.0 USA and I can't get the night lighting the way I want it. I've seen people where it literally covers the whole area they are flying in and it looks like FTX Global style lighting. Mine has some 3d lights but a lot of the flat 2d night lighting textures are still there. Does anybody know how to get FTX style lighting with UTX and getting rid of the flat 2d night textures. I would really appreciate any advice!

Hi I recently noticed that scenery that I purchased and downloaded is not showing up in my scenery liobrary and i am getting the scenery.cfg file error and failed to add library item [area156]. an entry already exists with the path. Anyone? thx Lee

Hi guys, So I'm wondering if someone can help me with this as it's rather frustrating with my PC which is more than capable of running P3D on medium to high settings. The FPS inside the cockpit of the PMDG 777 is around 35-40 FPS which is great, however when it comes to panning around with the camera it seems very "jerky" and stuttery which puts me off completely. It doesn't happen all the time, but mainly whilst on the ground. The only tweak for my P3D cfg that has helped so far is Fiber Frame Time Fraction 0.01. I have tried locking the FPS at 30 which makes the issue a thousand times worse, and only locking at 60 or unlimited makes it slightly bette…

I posted this on the P3D Forum but since its a weekend I thought I would see if anyone here might have an idea of what is happening. Up until lately, 2.5 has worked perfectly. Currently I am faced with some weird unexplained behavior. When I open V2.5 I sometimes get a pinging noise, as if I were holding a key down. If I open an application such as Plan-G or FS Cloud and there is a text box open, the computer then fills the box continuously with the letter "n" and I can't run the program at all. Ironically sometimes I can get past it and I'm ok. I had a backup copy of my .cfg file so I replaced the existing one to no avail. I also deleted the shaders, no go. I am …

In FSX I was using an elderly, but perfectly functional My Traffic 5.4c. Doesn't look like I can get that working P3D though:-( Has anyone come to any conclusions which AI traffic addon is best suited to P3Dv3?

Okay so I have been trying to get good anti aliasing in P3D with Nvidia Inspector and nothing wants to work. I am currently using 4x sparse grid super sampling and I have set the mode to "enhance the application setting". Almost nothing I do seems to apply to the game and I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I'm using a gtx 760 so I cant use DSR so yeah. If anybody can give some advice or send their Nvidia Inspector profile over to me I would deeply and greatly appreciate it. I'm also using 4x msaa in game.
