I noticed that iFly / Flight 1 have released a new installer for the 747, specifically for P3Dv3. (It can be used by anyone who bought the P3Dv2.x licence, or new v3 buyers, but obviously not FSX users, as it's a seperate licence. I'm really interested in the iFly747 for P3Dv3, as I currently have no wide bodies in it. I wanted to get the PMDG 777 and swanned over there with my credit card in hand yesterday, to discover it costs $134.99, which is out of my budget. The iFly 747 costs $59 ; more my sorta league! :smile: So........ is anyone using the new P3Dv3 version yet, and if so how is performance? ... I understand this can be a pretty taxing addon on the…

I notice that I get pretty smooth fps if the weather is fair and decent cloud coverage, but when I use ASN and there seems to be those rain clouds, I see a noticeable FPS drop... is there any way to fix this? I have my Cloud coverage slider set to the minimum with is 60miles. And cloud coverage medium. Seems like I get this problem only when using ASN. If I use one of the built in weather themes, I have no problems.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so hello everbody I've also my first question : I've the Majestic Q400, standard edition....can I somehow simulating (random) failures - that is can I use the standard Prepare3d features for that ? Or is this only be possible with the pilot edition ? Thanks!

I have a particular issue to which P3D seems to be particularly sensitive. The issue is ground traffic driving into aircraft, causing a reset. This morning, I spent 45 minutes getting a flight setup in P3Dv3 with the 737NGX, from Miami to St. Martin. I get it all setup, start pushback, start engines and WHAM! out of nowhere an airport truck drives right into me resetting everything back to default. 45 wasted minutes. I find that on practically every flight, I to dodge an airport vehicle, be it a fuel truck, tug or pickup during taxi. It seems that the sim generates them on purpose. I don't why these autogen vehicles don't include awareness of taxiing aircraft. P3…

FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.01 In Main Section of Prepar3d.cfg In the past I had 10fps in NY USA. Now, depending upon the view, I get a very acceptable level of performance. All scenery sliders to the right. Limited AI/traffic to 10. MSAA at 2. At 8 =10fps again. Hello Guys. I've been playing P3D for a few months now, and I am very fascinated with the product as well as its add-ons. I have learned the general concepts, but now I am ready to ditch ILS landings and go on to something more manual. I feel the next step is RNAV takeoffs/landings, and eventually, getting rid of autoland. Can someone provide me with a guide or a tutorial that would help me out with such things? Are there any tips you'd like to share on this thread for beginners such as myself? I also want to ask if landings can get more "manual" than removing the automated runway glideslope and eliminating autoland? Help and tips are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Is it possible to get the 737NGX cockpit to follow the bumpy roads etc in the air when flying and on the runway? I know Ezdok can do this and i just bought it, but im losing like 10-15 fps by using it, so its not that good. Any solutions?

I'm getting this a lot in v3. I'm using OPUS and I didn't recall seeing this in v2.5 It usually happens when there is a difference in OVC.... here's the metar in dlh today I get this line above and below cloud layers. Hello. I've recently did an analysis on my SSD and it turns out that the files in the temporary folder are using up a significant amount of space. Many of those files are related to P3D and the numerous add-ons I have. Is it safe to permanently remove them from my SSD? Thank you

Hey guys, just preparing V3 to do some flights but what I recognised is that for example Mega Airport Munich is too bright around the runways. The landclass is in the night too bright so you can see all details which is that real I guess.

I managed to get ezca/ezdok working in p3d v3. But I notice something strange when trying to create external aircraft views. Whenever I create a new camera, it zooms me all the way out and I see the entire globe. This never happened before. The internal cams work fine though. It's just the external cams I can't get to work right. Anyone know how to fix this? Since I already have ezdok installed for FSX on my machine. All I did after I installed a new copy of P3D v3 was add the entry into my p3d's exe.dll file. I didn't copy any cam files from my fsx or my old p3d v2.5 folders (I already uninstalled this prior to installing v3). Am I suppose to copy over some files…

Hi all I'm considering buying the this little aircraft but I am struggling to find any feedback from the community. There are a few youtube videos and some official reviews, I am more looking for info on the flight dynamics of the aircraft. I see the odd comment about some negative feedback but I can't really find any feedback at all. Favourite light aircraft at the moment is the Comanche, it obviously won't be up to that standard, nothing really is, but it has to feel good and fly correctly. It's at a resonable price too and might be cheaper if there is a sale on at the end of the month like last year. Thanks for any info.

Hi Has anyone here tried the Ifly747 with the new Patch SP1a. I'm interested in it,just read that it is a bit of a hog.wondered if the new patch has sorted that out.supposed to speed everything up. thanks steve

I am use to the free movement of the external camera on X-Plane 10. Whenever you're flying and looking at the plane externally, you can freely rotate your mouse and look around all axises. But in FSX/P3D whenever you do this, it only rotates in a circle around the plane in one axis. How can I make this camera behave exactly like X-Plane?

Don't recall seeing this before. But is there a way to turn this off?

Anyone else always have problems activating? When ever I try and activate 2.5 online I get an error that says my licence could not be found on the server. I contact LM support and the just reply that I must enter the wrong license. But I never have this problem with P3Dv3! I even confirmed my license with them. And then when I try the email activation it generates a different set of codes each time I start it so the activation codes will only work if I leave my PC on. Like I said I never have this problem with v3.

I am looking at the Q400 and was wondering what throttle quadrant controls are needed? Can I fly it with just throttle and power, or do I need a mixture control also? Should I have six controllers or will three suffice? How difficult is it to fly/manage from the first officer's position? I have the controllers, my issue is set up in that they will not bolt to my desk on the right-hand side. I would have to fly as first officer or try to rig up a desk-top mount for the controllers. Hi guys, At the moment I'm on my way to KLAS (Las Vegas) from Miami in the 777. I took a look at the approach charts for runway 1L and it appears as though the glide slope is at 7000 feet? Am I right in reading that? I got the chart from http://uk.flightaware.com/resources/airport/LAS/IAP/ILS+OR+LOC_DME+RWY+01L/pdf Am I reading that wrong or is that the actual altitude to be at to capture the glide slope etc? Hi all if I upgrade from 2.5 to v3. Will I have to re-install my add ons one by one. such as orbx sceneries and my pmdg 737 and Rex etc Is v3 worth splashing out on?

As we know FSX GMT time in different countrys wasn't right and we had to use FS REAL TIME do we still need FS real time for P3D V3 or has it been corrected?

I have just updated to P3D v3 from 2.5, and now just followed the instructions to get MT6 working in P3D. I see AI planes at the airport, but I was wondering since P3D v3 is not officially supported with MT6. How can we add/modify traffic with the green button since there are no settings for P3D v3 in the MT6 Configurator app?
