Hello Has anyone here installed this into p3d v3 yet? I am having validation issues with this product everytime i try to validate it with the flight sim store. The wrapper just freezes and its not responding. This is getting really annoying. Any help? Dino

ORBX AU Blue scenery shows 3 islands to the west of French Island in Westernport Bay (Victoria). These 3 islands do not exist in the real world. How would one go about preventing these islands from appearing? I have no experience at all in scenery design and my 70 year old brain might not cope with anything real complex but I'd be willing to give it a go if someone could point me in the right direction Bob

Before I go off and make a regretful purchase, anyone experience with Prepar3D V3 and SLI? In particular, is there any benefit in SLI for: a) The prepar3d graphics workload in general b) Running a 4K monitor c) Running a 2K monitor, but with DSR processing the image at 4K? I would like to go to 2x GTX970. The one I have is currently doing a fine job, but I can find scenarios where is run out of capacity. Thanks Simon

I am looking for an ATC program that is compatible with P3D 2.5, does anyone know of one. I heard Pro-ATC is now compatible but on there homepage I don't see any information supporting that.

Tweaking.... Hmmm..... We seem to be a Community of avid Tweakers ... greedily devouring every hint, nod or slightest suggestion, that might lead us to the Nirvana of Flight Sim Perfection? I wonder if the LM, PMDG or Orbx Devs (amongst countless others), ever suffer stutters, low fps's or any of the other afflictions that seem to plague the rest of us mere Mortal Flight Simmers, on their Corporate PC's? This was one of my all time favorite planes to cruise around in for FSX back in the day. I love VFR flying with it. Looks like the folks at realair are updating it for P3Dv3! And I think they will incorporate options for the 3rd party GPS's such as F1 GTN750/650, Mindstar, etc! I can't wait to fly this baby all over again in P3D. I miss her so much.

I've tried installing FSDT KIAH in Prepar3d V3. I get a message: SIM .exe is 2.5.12944.0 (I also have Prepar3d v2.5). This product requires Prepar3d 2.1, 2,2, or 2.3 to be installed. It then installs FSDT KIAH in FSX. I've registered in the FSDT forums, but am waiting for their approval to post and search. Has anyone here been able to install FSDT KIAH in P3D V3?

I didn't see any adjustment for this in P3D... am I missing something?

Anyone get VAFS to work with P3D? Everytime I try to start a fligt, EZdok crashes and aircraft starts spinning and going haywire. Also, if VAFS is running before P3D, it CTD.

Since default P3D helis are limited for choice, I am appealing to the other users for their experience in adding available FSX helis to P3d. I am using P3d Version 3. I have been flying the FSX default Bell 206 for years and would be initially satisfied getting this unit installed into P3d. I have also read about migration tools but wonder if the process of migration is not more complex than moving/copying files into the appropriate directories in rotorcraft, panels, gauges and sounds directories assuming of course that one knows where they all are in the file structure. Anyone notice the login to the fullterrain forum is broken? I logged in and I had to reconfirm for signature but the popup for WelshPool keeps refreshing and not loading completely not allowing me to click the AGREE check box.

In X-Plane 10 this worked quite well with the built-in replay mode. But in FSX and P3D I'm not sure. With the new v3 of P3D, I'm wondering if the replay system has changed or improved. Some things I would like to accomplish are: 1) After I perform a takeoff, or approaching a runway to land, I would like to know how I can quickly watch a replay of that and be able to move and pan around the scenery or airport freely to get the best position or angle. In X-Plane while currently flying, I am able to hit C and detach the camera from my plane, and freely move around to get a good view of anything. Also works while in replay mode too. Good Morning Guys, how are you? After installing a few add-ons, all native P3D v3, I am not getting the following error when loading P3D. It then loads normally, once I accept the error. Any idea? Warning: rants After almost a year of waiting for Flight 1 to make the Mustang available to P3D plaform to no avail (they released a version for FSX:SE, a bad omen, since an update to FSX:SE usually also release a version for P3D, but alas, no P3D) I took a look of the state of Business Jet in P3D v2-3 and have nothing but despair. Sure there are a couple of Carenados and Bert's excellent GTN Mods, but why would I have to use the MODs? The Lionheart LearJet is too old for my taste, and Eaglesoft is nowhere to be found. Thanks to a fellow AVSIM member for pointing me to the MJC Q400 1.011 beta patch ... installed and the VC view with tall bridges/pylons does seem to be solved. However, the passenger window view still has a problem ... fortunately a very minor issue. The aircraft performs very well, great frame rates, smooth and a challenge to fly -- the cockpit is just outstanding! Bravo Majestic, job well done. I did my first recording in 4K (3840 x 2160) but downsampled to 1080p. As I didn’t get any help from P3D support forum let’s see if I’m luckier here… :smile: I’m just switched to P3D from FSX and I don’t have deep understanding of tweaking eg. One reason why I switched to P3D was that I thought it’s quite tweaking free simulator. However, I have been very disappointed to performance I’m getting out of it. When I’m using default display settings (only changes wideview and unlimited frames) with only add-ons Turbine Duke and ASN I’m getting FPS around 30. One thing I’m wondering is why P3D is using mainly one CPU and four of them are even parked. When I moved ASN CPU affinity to CPU 3 (which was parked), P3D parked again 4 other CPUs. …

Anyone else getting this odd rainbow effect with the panel night lighting in the 747v2?

Hi. Just curious what others think about the chances that ORBX will release the second, and I daresay most anticipated, part of openLC North America which includes the USA, Mexico, and Caribbean, before Christmas. I set the chances at 0% based on the total lack of information forthcoming about this from ORBX. By now they should be about to enter beta testing and showing screenshots, but not a peep. Has anyone installed Tongass X on P3Dv3? This has to be one of my all time favourite add-ons. I haven't tried installing yet, just wondering whether anyone else has.

I'm about to try the Developer Edition for one month, to decide whether to switch. I'll have only limited time, so where should I fly to best appreciate the improvements LM have made to good old FSX? I don't have any add-on airports or weather programs. Thanks for any advice. Bryn

Hi chaps, I have had this problem with V2 of Prepar3d and it took me AGES to get it sorted. Now I've moved to V3 and still have the same problem. My image quality in Prepar3d is really poor with jagged lines and cockpit writing. The antialiasing settings in the P3D UI make absolutely no change whatsoever. I have everything on full blast, and the image is still naff and full of jagged edges. Now the adjustment that saved the day in my 2.5 was in NVidia Inspector, but I cannot for the life of me find which settings I changed to make things look good. I have tried application controlled, which does nothing, but enhanced and override also do nothing, or at least very, ver…

This is not a complaint, although it may sound like it, hehe. When I first had P3D v3 installed, sometimes when quitting the sim, it would result in a crash. But now after installing add-ons and stuff to the game. It never crashes when I quit P3D anymore. The only thing I can think of that might've fixed this problem was I didn't have all the different versions of simconnect installed. I had only 2 out of 4. So what I did was went into my P3D's redist folder, and installed all the simconnect versions. Ever since then I never experienced a crash when quitting P3D. I'm not 100% sure if this is the fix. But I'm pretty confident that it was.

Hi guys, I thought I take a try at installing Mega Airport Munich into P3D. I used the installer and selected the P3D folder. After copying the files it gave me an error saying that the Addon Manager is not available or something like this. So I manually added the folder to the Scenery library. When I am at EDDM everything looks good. But I have problems with the parking positions and taxiways. I am a complete noob when it comes to scenery. Maybe someone of you can help me here. I have read on somewhere that people are saying with high resolution like 2560x1600 and above, that messing with AA settings via the NV Inspector is no longer necessary, is this true? If so, can I remove any AA settings that I've applied in order to get more performance? I am running P3D v3 on a 30" display at 2560x1600, frames locked at 30fps.
